There was once a girl who lived up in the mountains. It was a hard and difficult life for that girl. Every day she would wake up before the elders and fetch water, clean and cook. Then she would make her way up to the large compound that seemed to rest in the clouds. She called it the place of the deities. The place that those people, who seemed so different from her lived.

When she looked at this place, she saw only a life that would never be hers. A dream so distant that it hurt to think about it, but what no one knew was that in her dreams she was part of that world. Her dreams dressed her in silks and styled her hair so that she could stand beside him. He was a prince, so beautiful that she could hardly look at him without crying. He smiled at her, sometimes, just sometimes, he spoke a kind word. This prince was beyond her, but sometimes she dreamt and in her dreams, he took her hand, raised it, to his lips. In these times she was most at peace.
