Gaelin was in her study when Jungkook stormed in, he was still angry. He had tried to calm down on the way home, but he felt cheated by Kang Hwayoung or whatever her name was and Song Gaelin. Gaelin stood and waited, she saw the anger on his face. It irritated him even more that she looked ready for him.

“Nuna,” he started and then didn’t speak.

“I take it you met with Ryu Hyeri.”

“Don’t you mean Kang Hwayoung?”

Gaelin crossed from behind her desk and indicated that he should sit on one of the chairs in front of the fireplace. Jungkook decided to remain standing. Gaelin sighed as she sat and crossed her legs.

“You realised who she was, didn't you?”

“I remembered her from the Club,” Gaelin confirmed.

“Then why didn’t you tell me?” he was exasperated, “Aren’t we meant to be on the same side?”

“Would you have met with her if you’d known?”

“Of course not!”

“That is why I didn’t tell you,” Gaelin stated plainly.

“So you lied because why?”

“Because you care about that girl. Isn’t it such a wonderful thing that she also turned out to be the artist you have been admiring? It seems like fate to me.”

“Ha,” Jungkook smirked and Gaelin shot him a warning look. “Nuna that girl lied to me every step of the way. Kang Hwayoung only approached me because of the scholarship you and hyung gave her.”

“It’s such a small world,” Gaelin murmured completely missing the point, “Tell me that you didn’t make her feel bad about the scholarship.” Jungkook frowned, this was not going the way he wanted, he didn’t feel good at all, “Jeon Jungkook you can be so silly sometimes, I guess it runs in the Lee genes.”

“Yah,” It was Soo-hyuk who admonished his wife as he entered the study. He noted Jungkook’s stony face and shot his wife a questioning look. Gaelin didn’t respond, her eyes were fixed on Jungkook’s face. Soo-hyuk went to Gaelin’s desk and started rummaging through a pile of reports, “Gaelin, where’s the Lee quarterly expenditure report?”

Gaelin ignored Soo-hyuk, “Jungkook ah, that girl, perhaps you didn’t even give her a chance to explain?”

“Why would I give that liar a chance to do anything else?” Jungkook ground out and crossed his arms over his chest, “I never want to see her again,
