They had told him not to do anything, but Yoongi couldn’t wait around while his life and Ho-seok’s were being played with. He at least needed to see Park Areum and explain that he wouldn’t be able to see her as much; he hoped that she would understand and even wait for him. It was a lot to ask, he hoped that she felt the same way about him. When this competition was over, he would find her again and make a life with her. Yoongi would find a way to make his family understand, but right now he couldn’t allow Sinyeo in her quest for power to threaten Areum. 

Yoongi had spent most of his life alone, his only friends were Soo-hyuk, Ho-seok and Gaelin and that had always been enough. He hadn’t expected to meet Park Areum so when he felt an attraction to the small restaurant owner he hadn’t known how to act or even make a move. It had taken him two months before he could actually approach and ask her out. It was a big thing to finally introduce Areum to the Gaelin. Gaelin was the most important woman in his life and Areum had captured his heart so quickly. It had made him very happy to see the two of them together and that Gaelin got along with Areum and approved, gave him hope that the relationship would also be approved by Ho-seok and S
