The Golden Quill“Good evening hyung.” Soo-hyuk and Gaelin entered the library together and took a seat side-by-side on the sofa facing Woo Minjae.
“Oppa this is an unexpected visit,” Gaelin added, “Are you alright?”
“I am sorry but I heard some news and I had to confirm it for myself. Gaelin…” he looked at her but he couldn’t bring himself to finish the question. It just couldn’t be true. They didn’t say anything, didn’t make it any easier for him, “Are you pregnant?” he finally blurted out.
Gaelin couldn’t stop the soft smile, “Yes I am. We just found out today…” Soo-hyuk watched Minjae and how the muscles in his face were working as he ground his teeth. He was angry. This was not going to be a good situation.
“How could you do it?” Minjae swore openly, “How could you do it to us? Don’t you see how complicated a child will make things? The child you carry will be the next heir to the Lee Estate.”
“Hyung…” Soo-hyuk began but Gaelin placed a hand on his knee and he grew silent.
Minjae’s gaze was fixed on Gaelin’s hand, “It doesn’t matter still. We can still make this work. If you are willing to give up the child Soo-hyuk can still have his heir and we can…”
“I also want the child.” Gaelin cut him off.
“Then…”
“No oppa you don’t understand, I want to have this child with Soo-hyuk. I want to raise our child in this house with my husband and with everyone who lives in this household.”
“You probably planned this didn’t you?” Minjae accused Soo-hyuk
“Yes I did.” Soo-hyuk sat back and looked over at Gaelin, “I have been planning this for a long time.”
“We don’t live in the stone age Soo-hyuk! You can’t trap a woman with a child and visa versa.”
“Oppa!” Gaelin shook her head, “please take a breath and listen to me.” She waited and looked at Soo-hyuk who nodded, “I know you think that Soo-hyuk deliberately deceived you but it wasn’t Soo-hyuk…It was me.”
