Found Out
The Golden QuillGaelin had taken a short nap and woke to freshen up before her tour of the town. While she waited for Hong Jong-hyun she phoned her mother to find out how things were at the company. While she was away on this job, her mother would be taking over her responsibilities. It worked well since she didn’t have to keep the fact that she was working a private job a secret. Song women had been running errands for the Consortium since its start, and nothing had changed. Her mother seemed happy to play President-elect while Gaelin was away, and it suited Gaelin just fine. The shareholders would be on their feet, very good indeed.
When she finished the call, she heard the doorbell ring and found Jong-hyun standing on the porch. He was still wearing the same outfit. “I realized I didn’t even introduce myself.”
“It’s nice to meet you Hong Jong-hyun. I am Jung Minah.” Always best not to use her real name and a little mash up was always fun.

“Well I know this is strange, but you’re more than welcome to come over for dinner tonight.”
“I don’t know…” she was planning to say yes, but Jong-hyun didn’t have to know that. It was crazy how easy it was, but this was a small town and her experience had taught her that small town folk were simple, friendly people. This town was known for its open hospitality too.
“I promise I’m not a psychopath.” He tried to assure her, “you just seem like a nice lady and I don’t mind helping out a stranger once in a while. Besides, since you’re staying here now, there’s no reason why we can’t be friends.”
“That is a good point.” Gaelin hesitated a beat longer then nodded enthusiastically.
“There’s just one thing…” she waited, “I have a daughter.”
“So dinner with the family then?” Gaelin asked lightly
“No wife, just a daughter. Is that a problem?”
Jackpot. Gaelin felt the excitement building. She was close now; just a couple more smiles and she would be out of this town by the morning. “No problem at all. I love children.” It was a lie, she was awkward around children and they could sense that she was terrified of them too. The only child s
