Soo-hyuk's Intervention
The Golden QuillSoo-hyuk had been nursing the same beer for an hour now, but the other man, whoever he was, was already onto his third. Soo-hyuk nodded to the barman and asked for another beer and approached the table. At this time of day and on a Saturday, the beachside bar was already packed. “Mind if I sit?” Soo-hyuk asked. The other man shrugged and took a long swig of his beer.
“Lee Soo-hyuk,” Soo-hyuk bowed slightly and took a sip of beer.
“Hong Jong-hyun,” he eyed the other man and noticed the smart appearance. Even though he wore summer slacks and a shirt, he could tell this man was not from around here. He became suspicious; “are you with them then?” he nodded toward the beach where he had left Gaelin and Yoongi.
“Yes, I am.” Soo-hyuk admitted, “You’re quite perceptive.”
“You’re quite honest, at least you have that, not like her.”
“Who?”
“Jung Minah or Song whatever, I really don’t care what her name is, she lied to me and I can’t stand for that.”
“That is something we have in common,” Soo-hyuk liked this man, simple and straightforward. “Her name is Song Gaelin and yes she lied to you, but I am sure it was for your good and not hers.”
“Are you sure about that?” Jong-hyun scoffed and took another sip of his beer, “You don’t see women like that very often and certainly not here. Her kind…they’re…”
“Destroyers.” Soo-hyuk slotted in and smiled to himself.
“Yes, exactly. All it took was one look, one smile and I almost forgot everything else. I almost forgot that person…”
“She doesn’t mean it, she barely realizes she’s doing it too. You shouldn’t be so hard on Song Gaelin.”
“You would say that, what do you work for her or something?”
“You could say that. I have always been in her service it seems. Song Gaelin destroyed me a long time ago.”
“I am sorry,”
