“Yaa! Donghae! Put me down!!” I exclaimed when he spun me around.

“I’m sorry. I just can’t hide my happiness.” He replied. I laughed at him. I haven’t seen him happy like this. I noticed he was then silent looking at me intently.

“Why? What’s wrong? Is there something on my face?” I asked him.

“Nothing. I was just treasuring this moment.” He replied. I was then puzzled.

“Why?” I asked him again.

“I’ve never seen you happy like this.” He replied.

“You know I was just thinking of the same.” I answered. He smiled at me then he hugged me tight.

“Yaa! Why are you always hurting me? I can’t breathe!” I said again.

“grrr.” I heard his stomach grumble.

“You’re hungry.” I said to him. He smiled shyly.

“Let’s eat out.” He said.

“I have a better idea. Since you don’t eat home-cooked meals, I’ll cook one for you. I promised it to you before, right?” I replied.

“Really? I really love the things you cook.” He replied. I blushed. He then touched my cheeks.

“You’re very pretty when you’re blushing. You don’t know how much I waited for this to happen.” He continued. I was really touched by what he said.

“Me too.” I replied.

“So? What do you want me to cook for you? Do you have anything in mind?” I asked him as I went to the kitchen.

“Hmmm… anything simple, I’m quite hungry.” He said. I laughed at him. He’s too hungry to even think.

“How about bibimbap, japchae and grilled beef?” I asked him. He nodded.

“Anything my girlfriend cooks, I’ll eat it.” He replied. I was blushing again. Just hearing him say I’m his girlfriend makes me happy.

“I’ll help you cook. Tell me what I need to do.” He said.

“You can cut these.” I said as I took out the ingredients.

“Wait! Do you know what to do?” I asked.

“Me?? Of course!” he said as he washed the vegetables.

“Yaa! Why are you cutting it like that?!” I exclaimed as I saw he was cutting it wrong.

“How should I cut it then?” he asked.

“Here.” I said as I guide his hands. My heart then beat faster. I then removed my hands.

“Hurry up! I’m getting hungry too.” I suddenly said after feeling awkward. He just laughed at my silliness.

“Let’s eat!” I said as I placed the foods on the table.

“Where’s your parents?” he asked as I sat in front of him.

“They’re staying tonight at the hospital. They’re monitoring if my brother made any progress.” I replied.

“Really? So you’re here alone again?” he asked.

“Yes, I’m used to this set-up.” I answered.

“If something happened, you should call me okay? I won’t forgive myself if something happened to my Yoona.” He said as he pinched my nose.

“I’ve never taste home-made bibimap for years!” he said as he changed the topic. He sensed I’m feeling sad about the topic.

“A while ago, you said you were about to tell your feelings but you didn’t finish your sentence. What was it? What happened?” he said when we were finished eating.

“Ah! It was because I saw you with Nana.” I answered.

“I saw you at a coffee shop. I was arguing in my head whether to talk to you or not. I’ve been thinking on how to say it to you for days. But I would chicken out eventually. I then decided to leave before you find out I’m there.” I continued as I play with the chopsticks.

“I’m sorry Yoona. I thought you don’t like me too after you slap me. I wasn’t thinking clearly at that time. I broke up with Hyoyoung soon after. I said so many harsh words that I regret saying. I put all my anger on you to her. After a few days, I saw Nana at the bar. I then asked her to be my girlfriend after. I thought I could channel my feeling for you to her. But eventually, I was wrong. Every time I see you, it makes me long for your voice, for your smile, for your presence.” He said as he held my hand. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t know you feel like that.”

“I’m sorry too for giving you wrong assumptions.” I replied. “Also for slapping you at that time and always yelling at you, I’m very sorry.”

“It’s okay.” He replied. I smiled at him.

“So what are your plans now?” I asked him.

“I’ll break up with Nana tomorrow.” He answered.

“Can we just keep this first ourselves? I’ll find a way to tell it to Yuri and Seohyun. But let’s wait until it’s settled in school.” I said. He nodded. Good thing he’s okay with it.

“So before we start, what do we call each other? Baby? Honey? Princess? Cupcake?” he continued to say more silly names I don’t want to hear.

“Is it really necessary?” I asked. I can’t stand being called like that.

“Not really. It would just make it special.” He answered.

“But if you don’t want, it’s okay with me.” He said. I knew he want it so I thought hard about it.

“I have something in mind but I think it’s weird.” I suddenly said.

“It’s okay. I won’t laugh.” He replied.

“How about… How about I call you Mr. Fishy while you can call me Yoong dear?” I asked. I hope he won’t laugh at me. “Or we can try jagiya.”

“That’s a good one!” he said as he touched my cheek again.

“Since we’re now together, let’s draw a line.” He suddenly said.

“What do you mean?” I asked since I’m a newbie at this and I can’t figure out what he’s trying to say.

“It means we’ll say things we don’t want each other to do. For example, I don’t want you to talk to guys who like you. Especially, Nickhun.” He said. He’s still irritated with him.

“Silly. We’re just friends plus he’s the only guy that likes me.” I replied. “Apart from you of course.”

“There are many guys in school that likes you. You’re just not aware of it.” He said.

“Really?” I replied. I was surprised with what he said. I never realized there are people here who like me.

“You don’t need to know who these guys are. It might get in your head.” He joked as he laughed. I playfully punched him.

“Do you want anything to say? Like tell me to avoid talking with girls.” He said. I shook my head.

“No, I trust you enough. You’re dead if you ever flirt with girls.” I said.

“Arasso. I trust you also but I don’t trust those guys.” He replied. I laughed at him.

“Goodnight my Yoong dear.” He said as I escorted him outside.

“Good night Mr. Fishy.” I replied as I laugh. I’m still awkward with these things.

“Take care on our way home. Don’t go to some bar tonight, okay?” I said as he went to his car.

“Yes my dear.” He said. I was blushing again.

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” he asked as he opened his car.

“Huh?” I asked still confused. What does he want? Did he forget something?

“Didn’t you really forget something?” he asked again. He was pointing at his cheeks.

“Aish! You’re so childish!” I said as I went towards him and kissed his cheeks.

“Thank you! I love you!” he said as he went inside his car.

“Annyeong! Take care! Call me when you get home.” I waved as he started his car. He then left.

I hope this would be a good start for us. I hope we would still be okay tomorrow.
