“You know what’s funny?” I said to him.

“What?” He replied.

“We randomly see each other these past few days.” I replied. “I was even talking to you without me knowing your name.”

“Yeah!” He said then laughed. “I was trying to tell you my name but it was always interrupted.”

“Really? I’m sorry for that. Good thing we’re now schoolmates.” I replied.

“Can I ask you something?” Donghae suddenly asked.

“Sure! What is it?” I answered him. It’s so easy for me to talk to him.

“I’m sorry for what I’ll ask but I’m curious.” He said. He was still hesitating to say. “ Uhm. Why are you different than before? It’s not that I don’t like it but you were full of confidence then. Now you barely talk to a stranger.” I was taken off by his question. It was the very first time someone asked me about it.

I didn’t answer him because I was still trying to find the words to explain it.

“I’m sorry to ask that question.” He quickly said.

“No, it’s okay.” I replied. “Hmmm... How do I say it?” I was still thinking of the answer to his question.

“Let’s just say I don’t like anymore what I was before.” I quickly said.

“Really? But I like you then.” He said. What? Is he telling me the truth? He like what I was before? But…

“Are you  joking?” I asked him again. I still can’t believe him.

“Yeah. You’re the first girl to come up and talk to me boldly.” He said. He was smiling. I looked at his eyes and I see he was telling the truth.

“You’re just saying that because you haven’t seen what I did before.” I quickly replied.

“”Why? Did you killed, kidnapped or abused anyone?” he asked me while raising his other eyebrow.

“No silly!” I said then laughed.

“See! You’re not that cruel. I’ve seen much worse.” He said then also laughed.

“Let’s not dwell on negative things, okay?” I stated. He laughed at my remark.

“So how’s Seoul High school? Are you adjusting well?” I asked him.

“Well. My one week has been good so far except for some boring teachers.” He answered. I laughed at him.

“Like who?” I asked him while still laughing.

“Mr. Shin. I don’t like it when he’s discussing. He sprays saliva to us.” He smirked.

“Right! I would always move my head to the side whenever he’s near me” I said.

“Me too.” He replied then we both laughed.

“Hey. I noticed may girls have interest in you.” I said to him then he looked at me. “Anyone interests you?”

“Well. I like someone but I think she doesn’t like me.” He answered. Maybe he’s talking about Hyoyoung or Uee. But he and Hyoyoung already kissed, so what’s the problem?

“What do you mean? Have you told her your feelings?” I asked him again. He was still looking at me.

“Not yet. I’m afraid if I tell her she might refuse and avoid me.” He answered.

“Why? You haven’t tried yet.” I said. When I’m with him, I can’t control myself from talking. It’s like I’ve never talked in my whole life.

“I’m afraid she might control me and change who I am.” He replied.

“Well, you should try first. Confess your true feelings. You never know what will happen next. Maybe she’ll accept you for who you are.” I responded.

“Maybe your right.” He replied still looking at me. He was looking right through my eyes like he was searching for an answer or something. I felt awkward so I looked at the window again.

“Yoona, I….” he said but then the cable car stopped. I heard him sigh.

“Woah!” I didn’t notice we’re back already. I really enjoyed the ride.” I said as I stood up.

“Thank you!” I said looking at him. I smiled at him. He then smiled back.

“Let’s go back to the house before they notice we’re gone.” Donghae said. He again grabbed my hand and led me back to the house.
