CHAPTER 46: First Encounter

In a relationship there must be time for crisis, where action and reaction from each person of the couple become really important. It determined the continuation of the relationship, whether is happy or sad ending. That’s what happened with Sukyeon and Taekwoon.

“I never imagine that he will directly say yes..” Sukyeon said in desperation.

“That’s your fault, Yeon ah.. Why’d you have to catch the fire?” Youngji responded.

“But he’s too much.. I’m tired of his suspicious.. he doesn’t believe me, Ji!” She nearly screamed to Youngji.

But Youngji calmly responded, “He has the rights to have suspicious on you.. Look at you and Jaebum now..”

“Now you’re also suspecting me? Woah, seems the entire world is against me..” Sukyeon couldn’t believe of what she just heard.

“Then tell me, what’s with you and Jaebum, since the beginning..”

Sukyeon sighed. “Well, okay....”

That day there was a heavy raining and lightning, it was good if she was at her apartment, safe and warm under her soft blanket, but Sukyeon need to visit her lecturer. She had an appointment with Prof. Nam to talk about the assignment he had given to her. Looking at her watch, she realized that she nearly late for the appointment. She ran to the nearly closed elevator and fortunately she still had chance to get in to the elevator. Everything was normal at the beginning, she pressed the elevator button and wait for the elevator to go up, but then BAM!

“OMO!” Sukyeon screamed as the lift stopped, not long before the light out.

“What’s wrong? Why it stops?” Sukyeon was in panic. “Omooo! Ottokee.. Heeeelpp.. Help uusss!”

Suddenly a guy next to her took out his phone and the flash light.

“Don’t be panic.. just press the emergency button..” He said in relax.

“Oh, okay...” Sukyeon tried to calm down herself.

But there was no respond after they pressed the emergency button, so Sukyeon started to be panic again.

“But why is there no respond? Is it not functioned well? Oh My God, what should we do?”

“I don’t know, just wait..” That guy said while sitting on the floor and leaning his back to the wall in relaxes.

“Oh! Let me call Taek-ssi...” Sukyeon took out her phone just to be welcomed by.. “What? No signal? Oh! come on!!”

“First, we’re inside the elevator.. Second, don’t you hear the boomed lightning? There must be storm outside, so of course no signal..” That guy responded calmly.

“Then, what should we do?” Sukyeon was still panic.

“I’ve told you to just wait...”

“Nooo... We should do something.. Oh, the ceiling! There must be a way out from the ceiling, right?”

“You watched too much American movies..” He responded in sarcasm.

“Why? Is that not real?” She asked while directing the flash light from her phone to the ceiling. But she couldn’t find the way out she mentioned.

“If there’s a way out from there, what will you do?” That guy asked Sukyeon.

“We open it, climb up, and then get out from the next stop..” Sukyeon explained.

“It sounds easy.. Then do it..”

“What? Oh.. well, I couldn’t even find what I mentioned..” Sukyeon responded in a slow voice. But then she continued, “But, we really need to think how to get out from here..”

“Just wait..”

“Ah really, it’s such a diappointment I’m stuck here with a pessimist..”

“It’s such a diappointment that I’m stuck here with a naive who watched too much 007..”

“Yaa! Who are you brave enough to call me that? I think I never met you before...” Sukyeon fought back as she directing the light to examine that guy’s face.
