When The Truth Comes Out

To Steal His Heart

Hahahahaha. Sorry. I just really felt like randomly letting out my emotions. So, this chapter is kinda crappy. It's boring, nothing really happens, it's short, and rushed. Yeah...I lost my motivation, and I'm really angry at myself about this. I had absolutely no time to write the onyl things I updated waas stuff I already started on writing last week, aka Guilty of Love, which I will also update again in a few seconds.

Anyway, I have a completely valid reason (excuse) for making a crappy chapter, although I know I make you guys wait. This week has been hell for me. I have had tests and quizzes galore, and have been up every night studying my off. Fun. Just very fun, isn't it? Ah...at least its over now...until the week starts again. Then I just have more quizzes and tests. There's never a real break.

Anyway...I will try to write whenever I have any time humanly possible. It seems that this will be coming to an end soon. I have little ideas left, but I do want to include some fluff, JaeHwa, MiSun/Sungmin times, a bit of Siwon, and my major . Then everything will be complete. Yes, the is yet to come. There will probably be just a few fluffy chapters before it because it's going to be bitter again.

So...in conclusion, I'd like to say, thanks to everyone who comments and subscribed and those who have been with me through this whole roller coaster of a story. I know there are times when this story is happy and is sad. I'm really happy that you can feel such strong emotions for my characters...sometimes you love them and sometimes you hate them. I like that. I feel good that my characters aren't so 2-D that you only feel one way about them because that's how us humans are. Sometimes we do stupid things, and we hate each other, other times we love each other. I'm glad you gusy have been through this story with me, and I hope you continue to comment the way you do. It really brightens up my day.

Well...enough of that. As always, enjoy!

Nana awoke in complete and utter warmth. A small smile settled on her face as she snuggled further into her pillow. Pillow? No. It was harder than that...Well, all that didn't matter. Whatever it was, it was warm, and she didn't want to wake up. That was, until she just had to be awoken be an annoying yelp, as she was pushed to the floor in a tangle of blankets. Her eyes shot open and she pouted, wondering just how it was that she somehow managed to fall out of bed when she was sleeping perfectly and comfortably still.

Well, then she saw that it wasn't really herself that rolled off the bed.

"Ah!" She squealed in surprise, her eyes widening in disbelief. She blinked quickly, as if to will the situation away. "Y-You! W-what? H-how? D-Did we?" She stared in surprise at a tired Kyuhyun, who ran a hand through his hair, tiredly.

"Oh right." He simply replied. "Last night we slept together."

"Slept as in?"

"No. Oh god no. Definitely not." He answered quicker than she could even finish her question. "It wasn't like that at all. You were just too scared to sleep by yourself, and after we had that small fight I figured that it'd be alright only because I wanted to kind of make amends-"

"You wanted to make amends for that?" She questioned. Her gaze met with the ground as she thought quietly to herself.

She blew up at Kyuhyun because...he said that she'd rather be with Siwon. He didn't understand her at all, and she knew he'd rather be with MiSun too, so she got...jealous? Yeah, it was definitely jealousy. It wasn't as if she could fully suppress the feelings inside her and never say anything wrong. That was just too hard to do because what she felt for him...it was the strongest she'd ever felt for anyone. She couldn't just ignore them because they ate at her heart like crazy. That being said, she couldn't act upon them either. He had a GIRLFRIEND. Not only that, but she was her best friend. That would be betraying MiSun which she would never ever do. MiSun was like a sister to her.

So, in conclusion, although it was a horrible conclusion that hurt Nana to think about, the most she could do was love Kyuhyun from afar, knowing that he'd never feel the same way. Somewhere, in the back of her heart, she wished that she could just move on, but she knew that her feelings were too strong for that. Nana was already in too deep.

"I-It wasn't your fault Kyu. It was all me. I said too much, but I guess I was just angry." She bowed her head sheepishly to hide her flaming pink cheeks, and trembling lips.

"And why would you be angry?" He questioned, obviously confused.

"B-Because you judged me to soon...I-I wouldn't want to be with Siwon. I-I like it here..." Nana paused to glance up at Kyuhyun, trying to read his expression. Then again, she was never could at reading anything, whether it be books or people. "I'd rather be with you." She clarified swiftly and nervously.

"Really?" Kyuhyun asked incredulously, almost as if he didn't believe it. "Really." He repeated, his tone lowering this time. It became evident that this time, he didn't believe her at all. She felt a tug at her heart, like she'd been struck there. He didn't believe her. Why did knowing that have to hurt so badly. She pouted, glancing up at Kyuhyun, ready to say the only thing that she knew could convince him that she was telling the truth.

"Siwon and I broke up." She muttered quickly. Nana glanced up at him with pleading eyes, just praying that he'd finally catch on. That small glimpse of hope inside her soon died, as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She sighed, knowing that at that moment...he wouldn't read into it the way she wanted. It was impossible.

"Who broke up with who?" Kyuhyun asked as though it were the most important detail in the world. "And why?" Nana's eyebrows furrowed. She clicked her tongue as she wondered why he cared so much about this. If he didn't care about her breaking up with Siwon...it was obviously because he loved MiSun, wasn't it? As a woman...that would mean that Nana meant nothing to him. She was just another girl. Or in this case, someone he hated, played with, and is now only being nice to her to please her umma.

"I broke up with him."

His eyes widened, and his expression went blank as if his brain just wasn't rendering what she said. Nana nervously and impatiently waited for an answer, just hoping that somehow he'd say something...anything. Then it finally came.

"Repeat." He ordered, his expression remaining unchanged.

"Um...I broke up with Siwon? Why?"

"Damn it, Nana!" He finally spoke, running a hand through his hair. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration, and he heaved a sigh. "You never tell me these things!"

"I didn't think I needed too." Nana argued, pouting. He had to force himself to take his eyes off of her, just so that his staring didn't seem weird. Darn. How could someone manage to pout that cutely? "You hate me. Well, that was what you told me..."

Kyuhyun suddenly roughly grabbed her by the shoulders, forcing her to face him. A serious look appeared on his face. Nana's cheeks flushed as she looked into his eyes, anxious to hear what he so desperately needed to say. Her heart beat rapidly in her chest, so fast that she could practically hear it. She prayed that it was just her imagination, and that he couldn't hear it too.

"That." He began steadily in a serious tone, "was in the heat of the moment. I say stupid things all the time. Don't believe any of them." She glanced to her side, a bit disappointed. Was it so wrong that her heart was hoping for just a bit more? Was it so wrong to want to believe in her fantasies? She sighed, and slowly nodded her head to show that she understood. Well, on the bright side, at least he didn't hate her like she thought. A unknowing small smile spread across her face. He didn't hate her. He didn't hate her, but that didn't mean he liked her. He was just neutral about it. She wasn't like MiSun.

"But...you're still with MiSun. I normal friend honestly wouldn't NEED to know about my relationship problems." She emphasized her words as she stared over at Kyuhyun. He shifted uncomfortably at the response. Kyuhyun sat in complete silence, seemingly thinking, for the next minute or so, before finally opening his mouth to speak.

"I wanted to know because I-...I-...I l-...lik-...." His speech was smooth before he got to a single word, which he seemed to be having trouble with as he stuttered through it. Nana's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She cocked her head, shooting him a strange look. Speech problems much? After a few seconds, he seemed to have gave up on his words. "You know what? Never mind. It wasn't that important."

"Really? It seemed pretty important to-"

"Just drop it." He ordered, obviously annoyed with the fact that he couldn't form the correct words that he had planned to. He sighed, deciding to change the subject. "What day is it?"

"Saturday. Why?" Nana answered casually, shrugging her shoulders. A grin slowly spread across his face.

"I have something to tell you." I spoke slowly, eyeing her to see if she was following. She nodded her head quickly. "But in order to hear what I need to say, you have to spend the day with me, okay? And then at the end, I want you to tell me whether you thought it was better than any day you've ever spent with Siwon." Nana found herself confused by this, once again. He always seemed to be comparing himself to Siwon, and she honestly didn't understand why. Was he envious of him? Nevertheless, she nodded.

"Good." He smiled happily.

Although she didn't fully understand the purpose behind his intent, she did know one thing; her answer in the end. He asked whether it would be better than any day she spent with Siwon. Although she hadn't even started her day with him, she already knew her answer. Any day with Kyuhyun was the best day ever because there was a huge difference between Kyuhyun and Siwon. Her feelings for Siwon was just confusion, but her feelings for Kyuhyun were genuine.

She was in love with Kyuhyun, and any day with the person you love, is one of the best days of your life.
