Drabble 41: Protect

They entered the main airport, and Kris froze for a millisecond before forcing a smile on to his face and waving at the crowd. Suho came up by his side and waved along with him, but Kris could see that his face had gone white.

“There’s so many,” Suho muttered out of the side of his mouth. “How are we going to get through this?”

Even as Suho spoke, the taller members were moving to encircle the shorter ones. Kris smiled slightly when Suho made a face.

“Stay by my side. You’ll get jostled by the crowd.”

“And you won’t?” Suho gave him a pointed look before flashing a blinding smile at the camera that someone waved in his face.

“I’ll be fine.”

“Aish…it looks like Luhan’s having a rough time.”

Kris stumbled and Suho put a supportive hand on his back for a moment. “Are you ok?”

“I’m fine.”

“We’re halfway there.”

Kris gritted his teeth and did his best to keep Suho out of the way of the fans’ pushing and shoving. “This is why I hate airports.”

“Me too.”

When they finally escaped from the airport and piled into the van, everyone began to fuss over each other. “Luhan, are you alright?”

“I’m fine.” Luhan gave them a wan smile, but everyone could see how annoyed he was.

Suho didn’t lose his troubled look until they arrived at the concert venue.
