Drabble 13: Swerve

Suho smiled cheerfully as he bowed again, and then glanced behind him. He sighed quietly, his lips tilting upwards in an exasperated smile as he reached out and tugged Kris over as well. Suho wandered away for a second to give Kris some space, only to brush past him and bow once more.

Kris sighed in irritation; he’d just been about to leave again, and there was Suho going back and greeting everyone! He twisted around and brushed past Suho to go back; honestly, it was times like these where he wished that Suho would tell him what he was doing. They were two leaders that were supposed to work in tandem with each other, not separately, and somehow Suho always managed to throw him off his game.

Suho straightened up just as Kris passed him, and they smoothly swerved out of each other’s way, avoiding the inevitable collision of Suho’s head with his chin.

Kris smirked slightly at the surprised expression on Suho’s face at their closeness. That’s what you get.

After the ceremony was finished, Suho glanced anxiously around to see if anyone was there. When he was satisfied that they were alone, he stood on his toes and pressed a small kiss to Kris’s lips.

Kris gave him a blank stare. “What was that for?”

Suho smiled sheepishly. “I’ve been wanting to do that this whole time after…well, you know.”

Kris chuckled. “So all that hand-holding and hugging was just you expressing your frustration at not being able to kiss me?”

Suho smiled brightly. “Yes!”

Kris smiled and reached down to hold Suho’s hand. “We are definitely the cheese couple.”

“That we are. But would you really have it any other way?”

Kris smirked and squeezed Suho’s fingers. “No, I wouldn’t.” I definitely wouldn’t want us any other way than this.
