Drabble 30: Memories

Junmyeon paused, his hand hovering over the mouse as the pointer flashed over a folder. “Mama album…”

It had been a while since he looked through those old pictures. He shrugged and clicked the folder open, smiling when he saw all of their first debut photos.

Someone leaned against the back of the chair, and Junmyeon didn’t have to look over to realize that it was Yi Fan.

“Chanyeol’s hair was terrible.”

Junmyeon nodded in agreement. “I don’t know why we thought that curls was a good look for him…it just made him look younger.”

“I also think that orange isn’t really his color. Especially burnt orange.”

Junmyeon began clicking through the rest of the photos he’d saved; some were personal moments from backstage with his old cellphone and hand camera while others were official photos they’d received from old modeling gigs. “I wonder when Sehunnie will let his hair go back to a darker color…”

“He’s still in his rebellious stage,” Kris said wisely. “He’ll go back to brown sooner or later.”

“Hmm…”

They continued to browse through the pictures, smiling at some moments and cracking jokes, or critiquing their appearance and public mannerisms from the pictures.

“I think Chanyeol has improved a lot. He’s less creepy.”

Yi Fan snickered as Junmyeon shut his laptop screen and put his computer off to the side. “I think we’ve all improved a lot.”

“Yeah.” Junmyeon’s eyes misted over as his mind began to wander. “Yeah, we have.”

Yi Fan leaned over and kissed Junmyeon’s cheek before straightening up again. “Wanna eat dinner now?”

Junmyeon shook his head. “No, I’ll eat later. Thanks.”

“Ok.” Yi Fan turned around and walked out, leaving Junmyeon reminisce.

a/n: Just a sweet leader moment where they can both reflect on how far the entire group has come :) Suho especially...watching Suho read his letter out to the members and then clicking through my folder of mama-era photos of EXO also had me thinking about how much our boys improved over the  year long break they took.
