Drabble 15: Lean on Me

Junmyeon yawned, and it took everything Yi Fan had in him not to lean over and kiss his boyfriend’s forehead. SM was posting their flight to Europe on Facebook; they couldn’t afford to have any slip ups. “Hey, I think we passed by a Starbucks on our way up.”

“Mmm?” Junmyeon rubbed at his eyes sleepily.

Yi Fan smiled. “Follow me.” He his hands in to his pockets and began walking away, leaving Junmyeon to stumble after him.

They had a no-touching rule when they were in public; maybe they were being paranoid, and maybe it was way too obvious, the way that they sort-of kind-of avoided each other in public, but it made them feel safer. If no one could catch them holding on to each other, and then no one could find any evidence that would require them to be separated.

It was frustrating, though. Especially when Junmyeon was tired and Yi Fan wanted to put an arm out to steady him, or when he smiled and relaxed his shoulders after taking a sip of hot coffee. Or when he rubbed his arms and quietly muttered something about how airports were always way too cold.

Finally, they made it to the airplane, and Yi Fan relaxed in to his seat by Junmyeon’s side. Now, there were no fans to watch them, and only their managers would raise their eyebrows in question at them if they were a little too affectionate.

Junmyeon had passed out in his seat the moment he’d sat down on the plane, but Yi Fan noticed how he shivered slightly in his sleep. He reached out and unfolded one of the airport blankets to cover both of their seats.

Junmyeon sighed in his sleep, and then shifted so that he was curled in to Yi Fan’s side, his head resting comfortably against Yi Fan’s shoulders.

Yi Fan smiled and closed his eyes, allowing sleep to take him as well.
