Drabble 17: Communication

Junmyeon laughed at the craziness of the super junior members as they crowded around Yi Fan and him. He huddled closer to Yi Fan’s side as they group converged into a mob onstage; it wasn’t that he didn’t like being around his sunbaenims, but right now they were all sweaty and gross after performing.

He bumped into Yi Fan’s side and moved away slightly, his hand coming up to tug at the collar of his jacket; it had been practical to wear in the audience and in the airport, but here under the blinding stage lights, it was unbearably hot.

Yi Fan glanced down at him and without thinking, both of them reached out for the other’s hand, squeezing tightly when their fingers laced together.

Junmyeon couldn’t stop the small smile blooming as his heart warmed up. Even though it wasn’t often, when Yi Fan and he didn’t need words to communicate their feelings, Junmyeon felt like he was soaring above the audience, soaring above the auditorium, and that he was flying up in the stars.
