IU panted heavily, sweat dripping from her forehead. Thunder was dribbling the ball, smirking and smiling. Not even one drop of sweat formed on his head. IU glared at Thunder. 

“Give up, yet?” Thunder asked, “I mean, it’s obvious that I’m going to win. It’s only 1 to 7.” The only way IU got one point was cause Thunder allowed her to. IU needed a break. She needed to rest and drink water. She needed to think--

Mr. KV whistled for the next game to start. IU groaned as Thunder handed her the ball. It was her turn to start, anyways. I. Need. A. BREAK!!! IU screeched in her mind. 

I warned you! Who said I didn’t warn you? Nicole’s voice warned.

Again? IU groaned. She was not in the mood to talk to Nicole at this moment. She could feel Nicole smirking at her. 

Mianhae, IU-ah~ But I couldn’t help but cheer you on! I mean, you are going to lose, Nicole pointed out, GO IU~

Thanks a lot, IU thought sarcastically. Suddenly, Nicole’s voice faded away and IU was back, focusing at the game.

“Gosh, her eyes turned green again!” someone exclaimed. IU ignored the voice and focused on the ball. Wooyoung stared at exhausted IU. He felt pain stabbing in his heart. I have to stop this... but how? Wooyoung wondered. He glanced at his father, who was watching with anxiety in his eyes. Wooyoung cleared his throat.

“Dad,” Wooyoung whispered, grabbing his father’s attention, “I think Thunder is getting a bit tired. We wouldn’t want him to lose the game, right? So how about he takes a break?” Mr. KV laughed.

“Nonsense, my son! Thunder can go around this Earth 60 times before the light can touch him,” Mr. KV smirked, crossing his arms. Wooyoung sighed. At least I tried, he thought, heading towards Luna who started to get less dizzier.

“You okay?” Wooyoung asked with concern. Luna nodded and waved her hand.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just worried about IU,” Luna whined, staring at IU with concern. “Too much going to the dream world can be reckless, especially for IU, who doesn’t believe in her powers.” Wooyoung widened his eyes.

“Seriously? Is that why IU is so exhausted from just playing basketball for 3 minutes?!?” Wooyoung exclaimed. Luna nodded, sitting up slowly.

“Yeah. If she keeps that up, then…,” Luna kept quiet.

“Then what? Please tell me, Luna! Please! I want IU to be safe!” Wooyoung bursted, clasping his hands. Luna stared at Wooyoung shockingly. Did he just say he wants IU to be saved?! Luna wondered. Slowly, she smiled to herself.

“If she keeps going to the dream world, she can stay there forever. Her eyes would be forever green and never awake. Then, she dies,” Luna lied. It was the only why for Luna to see if Wooyoung truly had feelings for IU. The truth was, if IU kept going to the dream world a lot, she would get too tired to protect herself. Her powers would weaken until all her stamina was restored. Wooyoung jumped with fright. IU... can die?!?! Wooyoung thought.

“Luna! You’re the smart one! What can I do?” Wooyoung asked, his lips nervously. Luna secretly smirked. She raised her arm weakly, pointing at the farthest corner of the gym.

“Yoseob is behind this,” Luna said. She already knew that Yoseob had done something that would lead Thunder into challenging IU. But she couldn’t tell what. “I saw his eyes. I think IU saw his eyes too. You know, the big, bright red ones? Yeah, he’s in the shadows. Again.”

“He’s being lame,” Wooyoung murmured, gritting his teeth, “Hiding in the shadows like a coward? Ha! I’ll take care of him... for IU.” Wooyoung whispered the two last words, but Luna could hear him. HA! He really loves IU! Gosh, this is so exciting! Luna thought, laughing hysterically. Wooyoung scrunched his eyebrows.

“What?” he asked.

“Nothing, nothing,” Luna smiled, “Just go. If Yoseob isn’t stopped, then… well, bad things would happen.” Wooyoung nodded as he ran towards to wear Yoseob was. If it’s the last thing I’ll do, I’m going to see what you have done to Thunder, Wooyoung thought angrily.
