While Yuri and Yoona were on their way to France and Victoria was on her way to England. The latter’s plan was set in motion, her agent named Amber began disabling the facility’s security system, looping the CCTV cameras and hacking the facility’s mainframe. She used one of the facility’s computers and deviced a blackout that would occur at exactly 12 midnight.

 

The activities within the facility began winding down as soon as the clock struck 10 p.m., a good number of personnel working in the facility started leaving as their shift has ended. Only a handful of security personnel as well scientists monitoring the research remained.

 

11:40 p.m.

 

In the staff break room Sunny and Siwon were having a cup of coffee. They had only 20 minutes before their watch began, other than the research facility's security personnel, foreign agents took turns supervising the security of the facility. It was one of these quiet moments in between missions that Sunny and Siwon greatly appreciated. But their quiet moment marked the proverbial calm before the storm...

 

"Hey you think we'll get some time off?" Sunny randomly inquired before taking a sip of her coffee.

 

"What do you mean?" Siwon cocked his eyebrow and asked back as he sat beside his girlfriend.

 

"Well... after the mission... we'll have time to ourselves right?" Sunny felt restless and started playing with her hair; her actions didn't escape Siwon's attention.

 

"Aigoo... Who said we won't have time to enjoy our trip here in London?" Siwon chuckled at the adorable girl while wrapping his arm around her waist.

 

He stifled his giggles and looked at the restless girl with that charming Choi smile on his face. Sunny indeed loved the young man and the same can be said about Siwon. They love each other and their missions didn't stop them from showing their affections whenever and where ever they are. After working together all this time, the two of them became top agents after the BLADE team was decommissioned.

 

"Hey, breaks almost over we better go now Bunny" Siwon ruffled Sunny's blond pixie cut hair before standing up.

 

Before he could start taking even a single step, Sunny tugged on his arm. A surprised look appeared on Siwon's face as he turned to look at his girl.

 

"Kiss please~" Sunny puckered her lips and pointed at it.

 

Her childishness always endeared her to Siwon, while her aegyo might be too much for others to him it is something that he's always fond of and perhaps one of the redeeming qualities Sunny had that never failed to make him smile. With 5 minutes to spare, the spy couple arrived at the control room with no clue of what was already set in motion.

 

“Man I’m glad you guys are here!” Said the American agent that led the previous shift.

 

“A couple more minutes and I’ll probably doze off” he sheepishly added while rubbing the back of his neck.

 

“Get some rest Agent Black, we’ll take it from here” Sunny patted the man’s shoulder signaling him that he’s relieved of his duty.

 

“Haha have fun guys, no need to show me the door I know my out” The agent grinned in relief as he started marching towards the door.

 

“Yeah, we’re going to have fun alright, we’ll get the party as soon as you leave the building”

 

Not even a second sooner that the clock struck 12, the blackout began. Alarms and sirens began blaring as the emergency lights came on.

 

“What the…” Agent Black abruptly stopped leaving the room the moment the powere went out.

 

“What the heck is going on? Status report now!” Siwon asked as he tried to get a status report from the people monitoring the situation with him in the control room.

 

“I-I don’t know sir, the system suddenly crashed and we can’t seem to get everything back online.” One of the personnel manning the countless computers in the control room informed Siwon.

 

The various personnel in the control room began working on restoring the system while others tried to restore power and communication.

 

“What’s the status of the containment room?” Siwon asked as he stood behind one of the personnel monitoring the room in question. The containment room is where the remaining Zeta nanites and Omega nanites were stored for safe keeping.

 

“The security protocols are in place, so far the entire containment room can’t be accessed unless someone manually overrides the security protocols.” He informed Siwon.

 

Sunny clearly overheard everything

 

“Get a team down there! Make sure no one without proper authorization get near the containment room!” she commanded to one of the personnels who were trying to establish a communication line with the rest of the personnel in the facility.

 

“I’m on it! Agent Black assemble a team, since you’re still here, make yourself useful and come with me to the containment room.” Siwon ordered as he made his way towards the door with Agent Black who was still shocked by the sudden emergency situation.

 

The blackout plunged the facility into chaos, it distracted those inside of the facility with the incursion of unmarked soldiers that stormed the facility.

 

Outside the facility, in the cover of darkness, soldiers dressed in black silently crept their way on the facility.

 

“Sentry sighted”

 

“Take them down, all units dispose of all perimeter personnel.” The leader of the strike force informed the rest of his companions.

 

He gave the go signal and pretty soon all hell broke loose, gunshots and explosions filled the air as the invaders open fired on unsuspecting guards that stood watch over the perimeter. A sudden explosion on one of barred reinforced steel doors resounded inside the facility. The 8 inch thick steel doors were busted open and soon the soldiers were starting to pour in.

 

"Amber, what's your status?" he asked over his earpiece

 

Inside the facility, Amber was busy packing the all the files she downloaded regarding the research and was abouit to make her way to Dr. Lambert's room and secure the manual override codes for the containment room. She then heard her earpiece clicking and the sound of her companion's voice.

 

"I'm on my way to pick up the override codes, meet me at the containment room." Amber replied as she strapped up a handgun on her leg and a hunting knife on her calf.

 

Nobody suspected Amber, she was one of the researchers and it gave her access to sensitive files regarding the research and its progress but one thing she couldn't get her hands on were the override codes as only Dr. Lambert knew the codes.

 

"Dr. Lambert, Dr. Lambert!" Amber knocked on the door, she faked being scared as she continued knocking.

 

Inside the room, the doctor didn't suspect a thing; in fact he was completely unaware of the growing unrest.

 

"Good heavens, what is it this time? Can't a guy get some sleep?" He frustratedly ruffled his hair as he wore his glasses and got up from his bed.

 

He went to his door and found the boyish blonde panting and seemingly panicking. He looked around and saw the emergency lights and people scrambling around.

 

"W-what's going on Amber?" he asked nervously

 

"Doc, the place is under attack! We better get out of here!" Amber shook the doctor by the shoulder and faked some more panicking.

 

"Under attack? By who?" the middle aged doctor asked as he started to panic as well.

 

"I don't know doc but I think they are probably after the research!" Amber replied while still acting scared.

 

The doctor didn't suspect a thing, he became more restless as he heard gunshots echoing outside his room. Amber saw how distressed the doctor has become, she knew she could press him about the override codes.

 

"Doc, we better get out of here, they'll probably come after you and the override codes!" Amber stated feigning concern about the doctor's safety.

 

The already scared doctor played to Amber's tune, he began rummaging through one of the drawers on his desk and looked for his keycard that had the override codes. Amber smirked when she saw the keycard.

 

"Ah! Here it is! Amber if anything happens to me take the keycard-" he was about to instruct Amber what to do in case he gets killed when she suddenly pulled out her gun and shot him twice on the chest.

 

"Thanks Dr. Lambert" Amber smiled as she puts a bullet through his head after she took the keycard from Dr. Lambert's lifeless hands.

 

 

 

"Sir, the facility's been breached!" the control room informed Siwon over his earpiece.

 

"Damn it! This is not good, they're probably after the entire research" Siwon hissed as he massaged his temples.

 

"What now? We're going to be outnumbered at this rate" Agent Black asked as he looked around and counted only 10 people with them.

 

Siwon looked around him and sighed, his eyes darting around as he thought of something.

 

"Sunny..." Siwon spoke over his earpiece "send all available personnel to the containment room and inform all other agencies."

 

"Inform all security personnel, tell them to provide back up to the team in the containment room. Contact all agencies, including Scotland yard." Sunny ordered the people manning the control room before walking out of the room.

 

"M-ma'am where are you going?" one of the personnel in the control room asked as they were startled to see Sunny leaving the room.

 

"They're going to need all the help they can get" Sunny answered while grabbing a shotgun, ammunition and a few grenades from a firearms cabinet.

 

"Try and get the system back online. Keep me posted about any development."

 

"Yes maam!"

 

Sunny gathered a good number of agents while on her way to Siwon's team. But reaching the containment room proved to be a hard task as they encountered several enemies.

 

Along the way she encountered Amber.

 

"Dr. Liu?" she called out, surprising the boyish blonde

 

"Agent Lee, thank god I ran into you!" Amber lets her crocodile tears fall.

 

"Are you alright?" Sunny asked

 

"Y-yeah sniff~ sniff~ I'm okay but they killed Dr. Lambert"

 

"Oh my god! Then they really are after the research!" Sunny exclaimed then quickly her face expressed horror "Did they get his keycard?"

 

"N-no, before giving me a chance to escape, he gave me his keycard." Amber showed Sunny the keycard.

 

Sunny was relieved to see the keycard, before she could express her relief, a crossfire erupted. When she turned around she could see that the agents with her were engaging the invaders.

 

“! Amber let’s get out of here! We better get to the containment room!” Sunny exclaimed before shoving Amber.

 

Sunny aimed her shotgun at one of the invaders and squeezed the trigger, the shotgun blasted out a flurry of buckshots directed towards the soldier Sunny was aiming for. The tiny shrapnel pierced the man’s torso, the force of the impact sent his corpse flying.

 

Sunny and the rest of the agents did a tactical retreat while fighting off the soldiers that were hounding them. Sunny occasionally checked on Amber and to her relief the girl is fine and they were almost at the containment room.

 

“Siwon!” Sunny called out over her earpiece

 

“Yeah?”

 

“The intruders are after the research, they killed Dr. Lambert but didn’t get the keycard” Sunny informed Siwon while firing another shot.

 

“We’re almost at the containment room, give us some back up, Dr. Liu has the keycard” Sunny informed Siwon as she pulled the pin of one of her grenades and quickly hurled it at the enemies that continued chasing after them.

 

Siwon wasted no time, he got a few of his men to meet Sunny and provide them some back up.

 

Sunny’s team continued their retreat, they tried to keep their pursuers back and as Amber got into safety, Sunny hurled another grenade. Siwon managed to get to them in time, he met Amber and gestured her to head to the containment room. Siwon and his team provided coverfire as Sunny and her team fled towards the containment room.
