Chapter 13 Angel... Yoona?!

It’s been a week since they arrive in Seoul. Yuri spent that time sight-seeing with Taeyeon and the Choi siblings. It’s been that way since Mr. Choi insisted that his children spend time with Yuri. Yoona on the other hand went on vacation with her new family; the Jungs. They went to Jeju Island for a little family vacation as well as for more family bonding time for 3 days and 2 nights, they couldn’t spend the entire week there since Krystal and Nicole still have their recital and they all want to support them.

 

Monday morning at the Choi mansion

 

“Good morning kids~!” Mr. Choi greeted his children including Yuri at dining table.

 

“Good morning appa!” The Choi siblings greeted their father together and smiled widely. Yuri stayed silent and was scratching her head; she was actually wondering how she should greet Mr. Choi…

 

“Where’s my morning greeting Yuri-ah?!” Mr. Choi was asking Yuri, and he showed her a cute pout.

 

Yuri meekly looked at him and snickered “Mr. Choi you really are Sooyoung’s father, I can see where Soo got her cuteness and charm from. Kekeke~”

 

“Hehehe~ that’s not all she got from me, like her I happen to be a shikshin as well” Mr. Choi ed his shirt and revealed his Superman logo undershirt then proudly exclaimed with his hands on his hips. Trying to pose like Superman.

 

“Dad your no Superman! And that superman logo really stands for shikshin!” Soojin dad. Mr. Choi looked dejected and pouted.

 

“Seriously, Soojinnie~ you really like to bust my chops… meanie! *merong*” Mr. Choi stuck his tongue out at Soojin and crossed his arms on his chest.

 

“Anyway… Yuri-ah! Where’s my good morning greeting?” Mr. Choi turned his attention back at Yuri; she just looked at the floor with her head down and was twiddling her thumbs.

 

“I’m sorry Mr. Choi… I just don’t know how I should address you that’s all…”

 

“Oh is that why? Then how about calling me appa or may be uncle?” Mr. Choi spoke in warm father like tone.

 

“Errmm… I know I can’t replace your dad, no one in the world could ever do that, but may be… since you’re staying with us from now on… may be you can call me uncle if you’re not comfortable calling me appa.” Yuri looked up and saw Mr. Choi’s sincere facial expression.

 

“I’m sorry Mr. Choi; I mean u-uncle…” Yuri shyly said uncle and blushed “B-but I promise I’ll one day… I’ll learn to call you appa.”

 

“It’s okay Yuri-ah, take your time… I understand all of this is new to you and it will take time for you to get used to things around here.” Mr. Choi understood what Yuri is going through and sympathized with her.

 

“Now let’s eat shall we!? Wait!!! What the- where’s all the food!?” Mr. Choi was shocked to see that all of the food on the table is gone, just empty plates. He looked at Sooyoung, Soojin, Siwon and Minho; he figured they finished all the food prepared for them for breakfast.

 

“Yah! You kids are so mean!”

 

“Sorry dad but it’s your fault for having a long drama moment with Yuri-ah!” Sooyoung teased Mr Choi. Soojin and the twins just giggled.

 

“Aish… I can’t believe you guys…” Yuri pouted while rubbing her tummy. “Uncle I’m~ hungry~!”  She used her aegyo

 

“Don’t worry Yul-chan, we’ll just go out and have breakfast, after that I have a surprise for you!” Mr. Grinned, he planned something special for Yuri. He has something very important to show her; something her otosan left for her.

 

“Oh! Before I forget Soo, you have a dinner date with Jessica Jung tonight.” Sooyoung was surprised and caught off guard.

 

“WHAT!!!??? But dad I haven’t met her yet and then now I’m going on a date with her?”

 

“Oh come on Sooyoungie~! It’s not really a romantic date; it’s just an I’m-meeting-you-for-the-first-time-let’s-get-to-know-each-other dinner date” Mr. Choi explained but panted after blurting out the last part of his sentence.

 

“Okay dad… But like I said before, if I don’t like this girl… I swear to God I’m gonna run like the wind!” Sooyoung pretended like she was going to run like a ninja.

 

“That’s all fine, Sooyoungie~ just give it a try will you?” Mr. Choi begged Sooyoung with his puppy dog eyes.

 

“Okay okay! Just don’t overdo your puppy dog eyes dad.” Sooyoung chuckled as she patted her dad’s head.

 

“Oh one last thing; Lotte Hotel 35^th floor Pierre Gagnaire Seoul Restaurant… 7pm sharp… be early but don’t be late. Arraseo?” Mr. Choi became serious while giving instructions to Sooyoung. After that Mr. Choi stood up from his chair and signaled Yuri to follow him, since they will be having breakfast somewhere else. Sooyoung relaxed the rest of the day and ate her favorite potato chips. Meanwhile Siwon and Minho went to school. Soojin on the other hand went to work; she would be covering for her father again since he’s going to be out for the day.

 

Meanwhile at the Jung’s mansion

 

The Jung’s except for Mr. Jung had finished breakfast and had already left the mansion, leaving only Yoona, Tiffany and Jessica. Mrs. Jung had to leave earlier than Mr. Jung since she has an important business meeting with the Japanese government’s board of investment. Jung Industries hoped to invest in Japan. Meanwhile Krystal and Nicole left the mansion and headed to school. They are attending the same school as Siwon and Minho.

 

“Princess, don’t forget you will have dinner with Sooyoung tonight, arraso?” Mr. Jung looked at Jessica and hoped that she would go through with the dinner date.

 

“*sigh* don’t worry dad I will be there, don’t worry about a thing I wont bail out on her.” Though she really isn’t cool with it, Jessica tried to assure her father that she will be there tonight.

 

“And as always Princess, try and get to know her okay? Give it a shot, who knows you might like her.” Mr. Jung smiled and hoped everything will go smoothly for his daughter and Sooyoung.

 

“Cheer up Jessi, don’t worry about tonight, just enjoy and meet her, no harm in trying right?” Tiffany tried to cheer Jessica up and rubbed her back. Jessica smiled and nodded.

 

“Don’t worry too much Jess, don’t pressure yourself okay? Just have an open mind.” Yoona tried o make Jessica feel better and showed her support for her.

 

“Thanks girls, I really needed that.” Jessica felt better and hugged Yoona and Tiffany. She always loved how they supported her through the years. They have always looked out for her and helped her become a stronger person.

 

Suddenly Alfred came in and interrupted their breakfast “Master, pardon my intrusion but you’ve got a phone call from Mistress Jung.”

 

“Okay, thanks Alfred, girls excuse me, I have to take this call.” Mr. Jung got up from the dining table and took the phone from Alfred’s hand and went to the living room.

 

After breakfast, Tiffany watched TV in the living room. Jessica joined her in the living room and read another novel. This time she is reading 50 Shades of Grey. She has been reading a lot of adult romance novels; she secretly is a hopeless romantic. She had always hoped that one day a girl would sweep her off her feet. Yoona on the other hand is daydreaming again, that’s how she usually spent her days. She couldn’t help but recall the dreams she had of Yuri. She didn’t quite understand it but ever since her last dream; she felt rather sure and something kept on telling her that Yuri is somewhere near her. That she will find her soon, little did she know that later this day they are going to meet.

 

Meanwhile, Mr. Choi and Yuri finished having their breakfast at a restaurant somewhere in Seoul. Afterwards they headed to Mr. Choi’s private airfield. Mr. Choi pulled up his Silver BMW X6 in front of a huge hangar and Yuri is in shock and awe as her eyes stared at what’s inside the hangar. There were tools and equipment needed for maintaining a plane and there is only one plane inside the hangar. hung wide open when she recognized what plane it was; a P51 Mustang painted black, it had a small vinyl near the cockpit that says “The Black Pearl”

 

“Yul, are you going to get off from the car or are you going to just sit here and stare?” Mr. Choi tried to snap Yuri out of her trance and waved his hands in front of Yuri’s face.

 

“O-oh! Sorry uncle… it’s just that I-I can’t believe what I’m seeing outside.” Yuri couldn’t help but keep on stuttering. Mr. Choi chuckled, he was amused with her.

 

Mr. Choi and Yuri got out of the car, and then they went inside the hangar. Yuri couldn’t help but look all over the place she smiled and she felt like she was a kid who just entered a toy store.

 

“Yuri-ah by any chance is your father James Kwon?” Mr. Choi turned to Yuri and looked at her sincerely.

 

“Nae, uncle why?” she wondered why Mr. Choi asked her that. “Do you know him by any chance, uncle?”

 

“Uhm… yes Yuri-ah, he’s actually a good friend of mine and he used to work for my airline company.”

 

“He’s one of our best pilots and often instructed our new pilots… until he left our company after meeting your mom, Michiro.” Mr. Choi couldn’t help but smile while looking at Yuri; she reminded him a lot of his good friend.

 

Yuri smiled and was already teary eyed. “Uncle I-I didn’t know you were good friends with my dad.”

 

“Actually Yuri-ah, I wanted to ask you about your father since you arrived here… I just needed the right time.” Mr. Choi took a handkerchief from his pocket and gave it to Yuri.

 

“Yuri-ah, I really missed your dad, I haven’t seen him since he left for Japan, and since then I hardly heard from him. Over the years we just lost touch with one another.”

 

“When Sooyoung told me about you, I had my suspicions that you’re James’ daughter. I just wasn’t sure, but now I’m glad to know that you’re really James’ daughter.” Mr. Choi himself was close to breaking tears as he couldn’t help but feel sad since he knows for sure that James and Michiro had passed away leaving behind only their daughter; Yuri.

 

“Uncle I-I’m glad that you’re my father’s friend, it makes me feel a lot more at ease with things. I’m really glad uncle, it’s be-been so hard being alone all this time..” Yuri finally let tears escape from her eyes as she felt Mr. Choi giving her a warm fatherly hug.

 

Yuri is happy to learn that she’s with someone who is practically her family and at the same time she is also sad because she recalled how hard her life was when her parents died, for awhile her grandmother took custody of her but when Yuri was in her senior year in high school her grandmother passed away. Since then she had to live by herself until she met Taeyeon and Sooyoung.

 

After awhile, Yuri finally calmed down and stopped crying, once again she looked at the mustang.

 

“Uncle, why did you bring me here by the way?” Yuri asked

 

“Because I want you to meet her; The Black Pearl; she’s your father’s prized possession.” Mr. Choi looked at mustang along with Yuri.

 

“He spent most of his time fixing, tuning and flying her. Back then he really spent most of his free time fixing her up. He was so proud of himself when he finished working on her.”

 

Yuri took a closer look at the mustang; she couldn’t believe that once again she had something that belonged to one her parents. She lost her parents restaurant back in Japan but she is now happier more than ever. She is starting a new life in Seoul, with a new family, a new treasure and most of all hope. 

 

“Yuri there’s also something else that belongs to your father. I want you to have it.” Mr. Choi gave Yuri her father’s old black leather leather jacket with a silhouette of an eagle embroidered at the back of the jacket.

 

“It’s something he left behind; I’ve kept it with me since then…” Mr. Choi chuckled, James actually looked for that jacket, but he kept it from him.

 

“One last thing, here take this! It’s my gift to you Yuri-ah!” Mr Choi handed Yuri a key.

 

“What is this key for uncle?” Yuri wondered after she put on her father’s jacket. It fit her perfectly, the jacket complimented her black figure hugging tank top, faded blue skinny jeans and sneakers.

 

“Take a look at what’s under that sheet and I’m sure you’re going to love it. Kekeke~” Mr. Choi pointed at the thing covered in the sheet and winked at Yuri.

 

“Oh My God! It’s a Black MV Augusta F4 1000 R!!! Cool!!” Yuri yelled and danced like a dork, she then hugged Mr. Choi.

 

“I’m glad you liked it Yuri-ah, now if you don’t mind I have to go somewhere… Something important came up, and I’m sure you would like to spend some time with your new toys! Kekeke~” Mr. Choi, actually didn’t have anything to do or anywhere to go. He only wanted to excuse himself because he wanted to go around the city and chase beautiful women. He is after all a byun and he wanted to enjoy being unsupervised by Soojin.

 

Yuri just nodded and waved good bye to Mr. Choi as he got into his car and drove off. She spent the time ogling at her new bike. Later she inspected the black pearl and went inside the cockpit and took it out for a short flight. She is actually a licensed pilot. (eerrmmm… for this story anyway lolz)

 

After flying around Seoul Yuri landed her mustang and returned back to the hangar. She looked at her wrist watch and saw that it is now 2:35 in the afternoon.  “Wow! I can’t believe so much time passed by already, Gawd~ I’m hungry already.”

 

Yuri got grabbed her helmet then put it on before getting on her bike. She started the engine and drove off to a restaurant near the park. The park particularly caught her attention. There was something oddly familiar with it. She parked her bike and went inside the restaurant across the park. After eating there, Yuri decided to go and take a stroll at the park. She also bought some food and drinks, something she could snack on in case she gets hungry while spending time at the park.

 

Meanwhile at the Jung Mansion, Jessica was in her bedroom and started to get ready for her dinner date. It is now 3:30 p.m. She decided to look for something to where for her date. She wanted to look her best and leave a good impression on Sooyoung.

 

“Hmm… What should I wear?” Jessica said while putting a finger on her lips. She went to her walk in closet and went over her wardrobe. She spotted a nice pastel pink colored dress. It complimented her figure well and it had a summer dress like theme but it is elegant and tasteful. Jessica didn’t want to get all dolled up and y, it might give Sooyoung a wrong impression. Jessica also picked a white knee length dress coat and a pair of white Manolo Blahnik high heeled shoes that matched a hermes bag. After picking her outfit for her date, Jessica took a shower.

 

On the other hand Tiffany was in the living room. She’s getting in touch with her friends through facebook and she has been for the past few days chatting and messaging Taeyeon. Suddenly Yoona came to the living room; clad in a pair of nike running shoes and a figure hugging white nike running pants, she also wore a black nike sports bra underneath her white Nike sports jacket. (Nike from head to foot? hehehe running low on ideas actually T^T)

 

“Hey Tiff; I’m going out to the park for a run okay? Oh, and tell Jessica also in case she’ll be looking or me okay?”

 

“Okay Yoong! Have a great one!” Tiffany waved Yoona off and turned her attention back to her Ipad. Yoona heard Tiffany’s reply before putting back to her ears her earphones and listen to music on her Ipod. Yoona walked out of the mansion and went on her afternoon jog at the park.

 

“There’s something about this park… I think it’s the same park I saw in my dream” she thought as she jogged around leisurely at the park. Yoona looked to her left and found a path that leads to a clearing. She followed the path and her eyes widened at what she saw next.

 

“This looks just like that place in my dream…” Yoona looked around and she saw the flowers, everything was just like her dream. Then she looked further and saw the Sakura tree. Wind suddenly blew out and the sakura petals took to the air dancing where the wind goes. “Omo! What a nice view!” Yoona quickly took out her Iphone and snapped a photo.

 

Yoona started to walk towards the Sakura tree, suddenly her heart starts beating faster when she caught a glimpse of a girl with a black leather jacket and skinny jeans sitting on a bench behind the Sakura tree. Just like in her dream. The girl and been staring at the pond. Yoona walked towards the girl.

 

“her long…”

 

“Jet black hair…”

 

“Could she be Yuri??!!”

 

At each step Yoona’s heart pounded faster, she prayed and hoped that this girl sitting on the bench could only be her dream girl Yuri. *labdub~labdublabdub~*

 

“Yuri?” Without thinking and her surprise, Yoona called out on the jet black haired girl.

 

Yuri heard someone call out her name, she turned her head and looked at a doe eyed angel. Yuri couldn’t believe her eyes, she only managed to say

 

“Angel… Yoona?!”

 

 

 

Back at the Choi family Mansion, Sooyoung had finished preparing for her date with Jessica Jung. She looked charming in her Black cardigan with a pinstriped white figure hugging dress shirt and black skinny jeans. She also wore a black lacoste shoes. After fixing her hair, Sooyoung picked up her car keys and headed out of her bedroom.

“You’re looking real charming Sooyoung noona! I’m sure you’ll knock her dead~!!” Siwon and Minho cheered as they saw her walking out of the mansion. Sooyoung just smiled and waved her hand acknowledging what her brothers said.

 

Once outside the mansion Sooyoung got inside her white audi R8. She started the engine and the beast slowly roared to life. Sooyoung stepped on the accelerator a bit and revved up the engine.

 

“Let me see if I remember what dad said…”

 

“Lotte Hotel 35^th floor Pierre Gagnaire Seoul Restaurant… 7pm sharp… be early but don’t be late.” Sooyoung remembered what her dad said and looked at her watch to check on the time. “5:45p.m. kekeke~ still have at least an hour before 7, might as well get moving, wouldn’t to start off at the wrong foot.”

 

Sooyoung shifted to drive and stepped on the gas pedal. In a few seconds she sped out of the estate and drove towards Lotte Hotel.

 

* Had to end it here for this update… My head hurts from writing this long chapie. Hope you guys enjoy this one. Next update will be exclusively dedicated to Yoonyul and Soosica.
