When I got home that day Jongdae’s face was a picture that was about to be put in a frame next to the one I know that my dad was going to give me when he got home. It was shock, then anger, then confusion and he opened his mouth a few times before looking at Chanyeol as well as Baekhyun twice who shrugged in response.

“She said she wanted to try something new.” Chanyeol answered Jongdae’s silent question.

Baekhyun shrugged “You might want to phone Sehun and Jongin though. They were kind of trying to flirt with her.”

“What?” Jongdae’s eyes shifted from the duo and to me “Mira since when –”

“Since I was born into a girl and it’s about time I started to at least look like one,” I answered for him as I kicked my shoes off “Are we done?”

Jongdae frowned deeply as he pulled his phone out of his pocket, jabbing it into my direction “No, firstly I’m going to call the two idiots and chew them out. Then I’m going to come talk to you so don’t sneak out.”

I scoffed “Yeah you do that.” I shoved past Chanyeol and Baekhyun, heading up the stairs and shutting my bedroom door behind me.

                There was a soft knock on my door as I lay on my bed; I didn’t even have to give the person permission because I knew that no matter what I had said to prevent them they’d have still entered anyway.

The bed dipped at the end after the door shut behind them and a sigh escaped their lips “He’s just surprised that his little sister is growing up and he’s not around to punch people in the jaw.”

I had to give Chanyeol a slight smile at his attempt at cheering me up as I tore my eyes from the ceiling and landed on his face “I don’t know why it’s such a surprise to everyone that I wanted to try something new and girly. You know, since I’m a girl?”

“I don’t think that’s it Mira,” He frowned “I think it’s more along the lines of the fact that for as long as I can remember you were never that type. It’s not a bad thing to try something new, we’re just surprised.”

I sighed “I felt like people could have tried to be a bit more suppo
