Dara and Jiyong didn’t talk about Dara’s confession after that and Dara’s busy schedule kept her from thinking much about it. Still… she’s thinking of it.

 

            It was a normal practice day and 2ne1g girls were at their practice room dancing and singing their heart out. Bom was munching on a corn when Hwangsabbu entered the room.

            “Bommie-ah, what are you doing?” Hwangsabbu laughed as Bom tried to hide at Dara’s small body.

            “Kyaaaa~ Bommie run.” Dara said pushing Bom towards the door while CL and Minzy crack up.

            “What did I tell you?” Hwaangsabbu asked as she corners Bom.

            Bom swallowed the corn and replied. “Not to eat corn.”

            “Wae?” Hwangsabbu prompted.

            “Because it makes me get hungry faster.” Bom answers and the girls laughed.

 

            Hwangsabbu gathers Cl, Minzy and Dara to form a circle at Bom.

 

            “Yeorobun, Bom will make a promise today.” Hwangsabbu declared. “Right, Bommie?”

            “Neh.” Bom pouted.

            “Say this three times.” Hwansabbu ordered. “I hate corn.”

            “I hate corn!” Bom said opening her arms.

            “Louder!” Hwangsabbu said.

            “I hate corn!!” Bom shouted. “I hate corn.”

            “So, was the corn tasty?” Hwangsabbu asked.

            Bom nodded. “Neh, I mean no…”

 

            Dara hugged Bom when Hwangsabbu made it clear that Bom needs to see him tomorrow to exercise.

 

            “Hull!” Bom pouted.

            Dara patted her. “Gaah~ Bommie-ah. Fighting!”

 

            “Cl-ssi, Dara-ssi… YG sajangnim wants to see you at Teddy hyung’s recording studio.” A dancer peeked at their room.

            “Minzy-ah, keep Bommie eonnie company.” CL said and they left.

 

            At the recording studio…

 

            YG, Teddy, Kush and Jiyong were inside and Dara said their greetings. Dara avoided Jiyong’s eyes even when he patted her in the back and just mumbled a quick hello.

 

            “How are you girls?” YG asked.

            “Are we in trouble?” Dara asked.

 

            Teddy and Kush laughed. “Dara-ah no one is in trouble.”

            “Why does my artist think that when I call them it means they’re in trouble?” YG laughed.

            “Hyung, that’s because you’re pretty scary.” Kush commented and they all laughed.

            “A commercial contract came up and they want you Dara to sing a solo song.” YG announced and CL clapped.

            “Whoa, eonnie. Daebak!” Cl smiled.

            “A solo?” Dara mused.

            “Neh, it’s for a beer commercial and you will endorse it.” Yg explained. “The best way to market the product is to feature it in the MV of the song.”

            “Tsk, that’s big time Dara-ah.” Jiyong clapped.

            Dara smiled even though things were still awkward between them. “I’ll do my best.”

            “Chaerin, I want you to do a featuring on Dara’s song.” YG said and Dara nodded.

            “Arasso.” CL agreed. “When will be the recording?”

            “Now.” Kush replied.

            “Eh??” Dara asked.

            “Jiyong composed the song and Teddy made some awesome beats for it.” Kush explained.

            “Wanna start?” Teddy asked, challenging Dara.

 

            Dara puffed out her chest and nodded. “Neh!”

 

            That they CL and Dara went through that day studying and recording the song which is entitled Kiss for the beer CF of Cass. Dara felt warm and light thinking that Jiyog wrote the song for her. It’s amazing and yet she’s sad that they were not talking that much.

 

            “How was it?” Minzy asked when they were o the dinner table.

            “Dara eonnie sings it cooly.” CL said.

            “I want to sing solo too.” Bom sighed dreamily.

            Minzy raised her hand. “Nado, nado.”

            “Aigoo~ I was so nervous the whole time.” Dara said pinching her nose.

            “Neh, but you have to admit it’s great.” CL pointed out.

            “Neh, neh.” Dara nodded. “Gaaah~ tomorrow will be the MV shoot.”

            “Eh?? That quickly?” Bom asked.

            “They want to release the CF as soon as possible.” CL answered.

 

            Minzy bumped Dara’s shoulder. “I bet eonnie got their attention due to her frivolous expressions.”

            “Aigoo~ Minkki what are you saying?” Dara asked blushing.

            “But netizens says a lot about Minzy too.” Bom said.

            “Jinjja?” CL asked looking at Bom’s phone.

            “’2ne1’s Minzy, an ero maknae?’” Bom reads

            CL shakes her head. “Gaaah~ you aegyo killer.”

            “Aniyo…” Minzy shakes her head at Dara pokes her.

 

            That night Dara was buzzing with excitement and she couldn’t sleep. She hugged, Tamtam, a doll made by CL, and thought about what will happen on the MV shoot tomorrow.

 

            “Dara-ah, are you still awake?” Bom asked from her bed.

            “Neh, waaeyo?” Dara asked lifting herself a little to see Bom properly.

            “You should sleep.” Bom scolded her. “You’ll look tired tomorrow.

            Dara covers her face. “Aigoo~ but I can’t sleep.”

            “Listen to a song.” Bom suggested and rolled on her bed.

 

            Dara whipped out her phone and saw that there’s a message she hasn’t opened yet. It was from Jiyong, Dara slowly read it and felt a blush creeping on her face.

 

            Dara-ah… do well tomorrow. You can do it. Fighting!!

            After reading the message at least three times and wondering if everything was okay between them, Dara kept her phone close to her heart and fell asleep.
