Gerald: Good morning gorgeous! (kissed Kim’s cheeks)

Kim: Morning.

Gerald: So sorry talaga ha hindi kita na pick-up this morning, I slept in kasi.

Kim: Ok lang. Ikaw kasi ayaw mong mag hung-up ng phone last night ayan puyat ka tuloy.

Gerald: Syempre may family problems and love ko. You know naman I’m always here for you Kimmy. I really wanted to come over to comfort you pero hindi ka naman pumayag.

Kim: Gerald, if you come over in the middle of the night baka mapagkamalan ka pang vampire at mapatay ka pa ng Uncle ko!

Gerald: Sige tonight I’ll come over early pero I can’t promise na I won’t bite.

Kim: Hehe.. Sira!

Kyle: Hey you two lovebirds, attend kayo sa birthday party ko ha?

Gerald: Sure! When is it?

Kyle: This Saturday from lunchtime onwards. Kim promise you’ll be there ha, tagal ka na hindi naka-visit special request nila Papa na you’ll be there.

Kim: Tell tito I wouldn’t miss it for the world!

Gerald: You’re in with Kyle’s family? What’s that about?

Kim: Gerald naman palaging huli sa balita! General knowledge na diba na babies pa lang kami, pinagkasundo na kami ni Kyle ng parents namin.

Gerald: (tried to suddenly get up but fell off his chair instead) What?!

Kim: Oi, ok ka lang? (Helped Gerald get up then pinched his cheeks.) Joke lang! Eto naman react agad, OA.

Kyle: Wag naman ganyan Kim, magulpi ako sa kalokohan mo.

Gerald: Ha! ha! You’re so funny you should be a clown. (being sarcastic)

Kyle: Friends kasi and families namin since we were kids lalo na ang Papa ko at ang Papa Al, uncle ni Kim. Kaso it’s been ages na since we last had a family get together.

Gerald: Bakit hindi kayo close?

Kim: Kasi inaaway nya ako.

Kyle: Hoy, don’t lie masama yan. Ikaw ang unang nag-snob sa akin back in Grade 4 and since then hindi na tayo nag-usap until this year na lang ulit.

Kim: Ako naman ang unang nakipagbati sayo when I got back from Sydney diba so okay na tayo. Inubos mo na lahat ng chocolates na peace offering ko sayo so you can’t hold grudges na.

Kyle: Basta come to my party and kakalimutan ko na ang pag-snob mo sa akin.

Kim: Promise!

Gerald: Oyyy.. (whispered) Crush mo sya ano?

Kim: What are you talking about? As if! Kulang ka talaga sa tulog kung ano anong iniisip mo.

Gerald: I mean crush mo sya noon kaya inaway mo! (Started singing out loud) Oyy, I know kung sinong first crush ni Kimmy.

Kim: (tried to cover Gerald’s mouth) Hoy, stop it nga. FYI mister, hindi sya ang naging first crush ko no!

Gerald: Ha! Gotcha! So you admit na naging crush mo nga sya. (“Teka I was just trying to annoy her pero bakit ako ang na-irritated na parang nagkatotoo ang pang-aasar ko?)

Kim: I didn’t say anything. Oyy, may nagseselos! (Pinched his side)

Gerald: Puhleeeze gurl, di hamak mas gwapo ako nun. Mas head over heels ka sa akin compared to him!

Kim: Humble mo gurrl! For all we knOw, plastic surgery lang ang sekreto sa ka-gwapohan mo!

Gerald: Ganun? (tickled Kim)

Kim: (tickled him back) Malay natin you could even be a girl na nagpa-transplant lang! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Gerald: Oy, walang fake sa body parts ko no, especially not THAT part! (stopped tickling her) Gusto mo I’ll prove it you!

Kim: (still laughing) Yeah right!

Gerald held her face which made her stop giggling. He moved his body closer to hers. They were face to face and Kim could swear she could hear both of their defeaning heartbeats in rhythm. Gerald slowly moved his lips to meet hers--- “Hoy! Are you two going to kiss? Sorry to kill the moment but the whole class is watching you two.”

Gerald: “Distorbo talaga tong si Matteo! Sinadya talagang maudlot ang first kiss moment namin. Dang!”

Kim: Thanks Matteo! Way to ruin a moment!

Matteo: Sorry Kim but I thought you might appreciate na I saved you from embarrassment. I’ve known you kasi as the type of girl na discreet.

Kim: Thanks for the concern Matt ha, I soooo needed saving! Hindi naman kami mag-kiss no, we were just goofing around having fun.

Lara: Nuh-uh! That wasn’t what it looked like. I’ve seen it on tv so many times yung moment na before mag-kiss ang lovers, ganun kayo.

Matteo: Oo nga, nag-deny pa. Caught in the act na kayo.

Gerald: What if mag-kiss kami ni Kim? Wala namang masama dun eh we’re just expressing our feelings. (Placed his arms around Kim).

Kim: Gerald, isa ka pa. Zip your mouth na lang. Kayo naman, I think you’ve watched way too many adult movies! Lalo ka na Matteo, sasamahan kita this Sunday sa confession masyado ka nang dirty minded.

Gerald: Ano? Pag samahan mo sya di lalong maging worse ang pagka-dity minded nyan!

Gerald and Kim continued to tease each other and occasionally make fun of Matteo while the rest of the class just left them in their own little fun world.

Rob: Bilis mo na-stop yung kiss Matteo. You still can’t accept na hindi na kayo?

Matteo: It’s not like that. Tanggap ko na naman na she’s happy with Gerald na and I want to be happy for her. I just haven’t fallen out of love yet, nasasaktan pa rin ako.

Rob: These things take time. You’ll find the right girl for you bro.
