Seungyeon pov:

“Mama!” Jiyoung called as I lowered my feet to test the slope.

“Mama what are you doing!?” Jiyoung asked, grabbing my arm.

“Jiyoung ah, I’m going down to save Joong Ki.” I replied.

“Mama…what if something happens??” Jiyoung asked worriedly.

“I’ll be fine.”  I said, giving her a reassuring smile.

“Mama…let me go down instead.” Bong Gu offered.

“Anida…I’m going down myself, it’s my fault Joong Ki ended up like this.” I replied.

I pulled on the rope to make sure the knot was tied, then I turned around and made my way down the slope.

I could feel the rope slowly digging into my skin as I scaled down the slope, sand crumbling under my feet.

A chill ran down my spine as the cool autumn wind blew against my cheeks, I looked down and stared at the lake below the cliff.

If the rope broke and I fell now…..I’m dead….this time for sure!

“Mama be careful!” I heard Jiyoung call from the top.

The ground was near now.

I stretched my left foot and made sure it was securely on the ground, before letting go of the rope.

“Whew~” I said, as I swept my sleeve across my forehead.

Joong Ki was lying on the ground, still unconscious it looked like he broke his shoulder.

“Joong Ki ah…” I called, at I knelt on the ground beside him and started shaking him.

“Joong Ki ah…you need to wake up…don’t die on me!’ I said, hitting his cheek lightly.

“Unnnhhhh….” He groaned as he started to stir.

“Joong Ki ah!”

He opened his eyes a little but not fully.

“Ahhhh..shoulder…” he mumbled.

“Oh!” I replied, as I quickly tore some more cloth from my skirt.

My clothes looked like a total mess now.

“Unnhh..” Joong Ki groaned as I secured the cloth around his bleeding shoulder.

That should stop the bleeding, I thought to myself.

“Joong Ki ah…can you stand??” I asked, supporting the back of his neck with my hand.

“Unnnhhh…Seungyeon ah…” he mumbled, he didn’t look in a good shape at all.

“I’ll support you and you stand okay? We need to get you out of here.” I told him, slowly pulling him up.

“Ughhhhaahhh….” He groaned as he forced himself to stand.

“Be careful.” I said, holding on to him tightly.

A wrong move right now would send both of us to our watery graves!

“Can you do it?” I asked, as Joong ki grabbed a hold of the rope.

He closed his left eye as he nodded at me.

I sighed, looking at him just made me feel….well…guilty!

“Slowly.” I said, as Joong Ki started to climb the rope.

About halfway up, I could see the blood dripping from his shoulder wound.

I bit my lip, I could see his face was scrunched up in agony.

“Young Master!!” I could hear Bong Gu shouting from above.

As he was about to reach the top, he suddenly slipped.

I swear my heart stopped a beat as he cried out in pain.

“Joong Ki ah! Are you all right??” I called.

He gave me a small nod as he continued to climb, I took a deep breath as I saw him safely climb up to the top.

The moment he reached the top, Joong Ki fainted. Lucky Bong Gu was there to support him.

I took a deep breath as I grabbed onto the rope for a second time.

“Mama..” Jiyoung called, looking at me from above.

I mounted the wall, the palm of my hand was stinging now from the friction of the rope.

I could see the top getting closer, when suddenly the rope snapped!

My eyes widened as the shock set into my body.

For fear of my life, I quickly jammed my fingers into the soil at the top of the slope.

“Mama!” Jiyoung screamed.

I was now hanging onto the slope, with just one hand.

Swinging…

“Arghhhh!!” I said, trying to dig my fingers deeper into the sand.

Jiyoung quickly grabbed onto my hand as I tried to swing the other up.

Bong Gu ran over to help pull me up too.

Finally I managed to pull myself up onto the top of the slope.
