Chapter twenty two:  Four leaf ‘clover’

My eyelids slightly open, staring at the sealing above me, white and plain, nothing special. Just that casual plain and dreamy look, just like me, staying here and not knowing what I want to do, where I want to go. Though being all wealthy, I somehow want to go back in time, back to the old days, a typical life and with a friend. I guess I just miss him, I don’t know why. My vision is in a blur, I don’t know what I’m seeing but there’s a face staring at me, I reach out my hand and touch his face.

“Are you back yet?” I wearily say.

“Huh?” I flutter my eyes wide open, to see Jaejoong staring at me with his ‘what the ’ look.

“Um, morning.” I awkwardly say, quickly pulling my hand away. His eyebrows are crossed, as well as his arms and he’s staring angrily at me.

“What?” I ask, feeling slightly dazed and confused. I don’t understand what he wants, honestly, and most of all why am I even lying here?

“You…you really just can’t take care of yourself do you?” He coldly says. I thought he doesn’t care about me, why is he so mad?

“Neh Jaejoong, I thought we had separate lives.” I bluntly say, ignoring his angered presence. He takes a few steps towards me and sits on the bed, placing his hands on my shoulders. I realise, I’m in a hospital.

“Ahn Ka Eun, I told you many times before. You have to take care of yourself for everyone else’s sake or things won’t look pretty for me.”

Ahn.

So that’s all he cares about.

“Oh.” I reply, turning away from his direct eye contact. He stands up again, “You’re pregnant, that’s why you’re vomiting.”  What a liar, he can’t deceive me like this, I know whether or not I’ve lost my ity or not.

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?” I scream, putting on an act.

“I should be asking you that, I never TOUCHED you. Now what? You’re pregnant with some random guy you slept with?

I’m totally going to fall for that.

“HAHAHA JUST KIDDING!” He says, flicking me on the forehead.  That hurt a lot, I think my head might split into two. It’s weird, Jaejoong as mood swings.

“What? happened?” I ask.

“You’re stupid. I’m going to emphasize it a bit more, you’re ing stupid. Hehe.”

“That’s really mean!” I yell, staring at him with my eyebrows crossed. He chuckles and stares at me with his impure dark brown eyes. I don’t know why his stare is starting to scare me, his eye contact with mine is scaring me. I turn away, I can’t bear staring at his dirty face… the fact he sleeps with practically everyone is making his presence as a whole some scary dirty thing. At least that’s what I think. How disgusting.

“Look Ka Eun, you’re too naïve, you idiot. Think about it! The only man to have access to your body is me, Kim Jae….JOONG!”

“No you, get away from me!”

“Ahh well Ka Eun, you’ve been poisoned from eating something earlier today.”

“Food poisoning? No wonder I felt so sick.”

“Not just typical food poisoning, but actual poison not from food.”

I frown and he just smiles at me, “I haven’t told our parents anything yet, and I don’t really believe someone is trying to harm you either… it’s all utter bull.  Doctors aren’t detectives, they have no say. Plus, it’s not that bad, you just need to rest a while, I can take you home right now.”

“Oh okay twit.” I reply.

“K, walk home yourself .”

“, don’t do dis’ to me.” I sit up from the bed and tug onto his muscular arm. “Refrain from touching the Kim Jaejoong.” He says, edging away from my touch, I grab his wrist again and squeeze it really hard, digging my nails into his skin. He turns to look at me, his teeth clenched and his eyes glaring dangerously at me. I smile warmly, my eyes decreasing in size.

“Let’s hurry up and go home, yeobo.” I cheerfully say.

“You can be so scary at times, you hurt my wrist.” I slightly chuckle and continue to smile at him.
