Suho was a little upset by you yesterday since you disappeared somewhere with Baekhyun without telling him. You apologized and even made him your special dessert, caramel pudding to cheer him up. In the end he forgave you and advised you to notify him whenever you plan to go out and disappear again. Suho, the guy who can seem so tough and overprotective at times but is also a dear sweet heart. 

The day started out normal today. You didn't know why you were feeling so cheerful and carefree. Was it because you and Baekhyun finally had the time to be alone together yesterday? And it was not only when you guys were at the top of the hill, after you guys made you way back home, Baekhyun hung out with you in your room, the both of you playing monopoly together. Well, it wasn't just the two of you alone, Chanyeol and Sehun were there too cause apparently they said you shouldn't be alone with Baekhyun and you wondered why. But he was sitting beside you and whenever one of you moves, your thighs would light brush against each other and even with that small skinship, it sent your heart fluttering like crazy. You couldn't concentrate in the game because of that and always lost, even though you thought you were quite a pro at the game. Anyway, today was Monday and as usual all of you were at the dining table in the kitchen while D.O who had and apron over his school uniform was serving pancakes. You noticed someone was missing. Him.

"Where's Baekhyun oppa?" You asked. Kai who was busy gorging down his pancakes as soon as D.O set in on his plate briefly looked up at you. "Lover boy had to go get some breakfast for the ice princess." He smirked while Sehun and Chanyeol cheered. Suho hushed them down by shooting them glares. D.O examined your face. Of course, you failed to hide the fact that you forgot the fact that Baekhyun now has to be with Mi Young in order to please her and help your parents. "Oh." You managed to say and took your seat beside D.O. He sighed and gave your shoulders a reassuring squeeze. *Be strong Ryoko ah.* It took you awhile to plaster a smile on your face and pretend that it didn't affect you when in fact you felt like crumbling down right that minute. You felt like yelling and running to Baekhyun, tell him to abort the plan and that you'll find other ways to end it but it was kind of too late for that. 

After breakfast and washing the plates, the six of you made your way to school. D.O was walking with Suho, who seemed to be more worried about Mi Young than Baekhyun. Chanyeol and Sehun were busy having a burp competition and you found that gross so you decided to walk with the person who is the closest to being normal, Kai. Even though he can be quite...intimate at times, and annoying. Thinking about what Baekhyun and Mi Young was doing at that moment made you sigh non-stop and it was kind of a nuisance to Kai that he had to flick your forehead to make you stop. "Quit sighing like an old lady will you? What's up?" He raised his eyebrows at you. Ever since he kissed you that night after you guys left the children's home, the two of you hadn't brought it up yet. You were expecting him to apologize or something but he acted all normal. However, Kai had been meaning to ask you too. *Does she still remember it? How does she feel about me now? God I must be such a loser worrying about all this.* He thought to himself. 

That scene was still clear in your mind. But somehow, thinking about it made you feel guilty. It was like you were cheating on Baekhyun. Even though the two of you aren't even going out, let alone know each other's feelings. "Listen-" "About-" The two of you cut each other's sentences. Kai let out an awkward laugh and nodded to you. "You go first." *Better to hear what she has to say first or I'll make a complete idiot out of myself.* He reminded himself. You chuckled and smiled at him. "About...that night. I-It was totally unexpected but, in case you're wondering, I'm totally cool with it." Kai raised his eyebrows. *C-Cool with...it? What the hell does that supposed to mean? Does she like me or not?* You seemed to notice his confused expression and decided to clear things out before he misunderstood what you were trying to say. 

"I mean, I forgive you. But just...don't do it again okay?" You hoped you've made it clear to him and searched his face. Kai, wasn't expecting that answer at all. He collected himself and put on a smug face before ruffling your hair. "Yeah yeah sure, of course. Didn't know why I did that either." *So she doesn't...feel the same way? Gosh Kai you've embarrassed yourself.* He let out another awkward laugh and rubbed the back of his neck. You smiled, thinking that he got the message you were trying to convey. "Good. So what did you want to say to me?" You looked at him innocently. Kai shrugged. "I forgot. Don't worry it wasn't that important anyway." You scrunched your face at his reply but shrugged it off. You could tell it was getting awkward so you decided to talk about something else. But just as you were about to, Kai jogged towards Suho. 

"Hyung, you guys can go first. I have to stop by somewhere." You heard him say. *Stop by somewhere? Where is he going when school is about to start in another ten minutes?* You thought to yourself. Suho and D.O seemed to be confused too. But before they could say anything, Kai jogged off towards the other direction. You quickened your pace and caught up with Suho. "Where is he going?" Both Suho and D.O shrugged their shoulders, looking worried for some reason. "We have no idea. I can't even think of a place he'd have to go in such a hurry when school's about to start." D.O said. You pondered for a while. *Did I...did I say something wrong to him?* D.O noticed your expression and pulled you to the side. "Is there something I should know of?" He whispered. You gave him a confused look. "Maybe...?" He shot you a look. Just then Suho interrupted your conversation with a serious expression. "Is there something I should know of?" He said, purposely emphasizing the I in his sentence. The two of you shook your heads and let out a nervous laughter. 

Suho gave you curious looks before shrugging it off. "Forget it. We better hurry up before the prefects lock the gates." He said before walking up towards Chanyeol and Sehun slapping both their heads and scolded them for being uncivilized by having that burp contest earlier. D.O sighed and tucked your sleeve. "You better tell me what's going on girl. Because I foresee something bad's gonna happen." You nodded and thought about what might have upset Kai.

"Ryoko! I've missed you during the weekends!" Hae Ra shouted from across the hallway when all of you made it into the school just in time. She was running towards you but you knew she was only looking at D.O. You smiled and shook your head. "I'm sure you missed me." You said sarcastically. Hae Ra blushed and bowed her head for forgiveness and went straight to D.O, shooting him questions like what he did during the weekends, whether he was feeling okay because of the cold whether or whether he's been eating well. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of them. Would you be like this towards Baekhyun if you guys happen to be a couple? That's when it came to you. Where was he? Have he reached school after breakfast with Mi Young? "Hey guys." You turned at the sound of the familiar voice but your shoulders dropped to see Mi Young linking arms with him, smiling as though she just won a Nobel prize. Baekhyun looked lifeless but smiled a little as he made eye contact with you. You couldn't help but feel sorry for him. It was because of you, he had to be stuck with the person he hates the most. 

You just felt like tearing her arms off of him and scream at her for ruining everything but had to control yourself. You didn't want to be turned into a monster just because of her. She suddenly turned to face you, as though she knew you were thinking about her at that moment. "Oh hello Ryoko ah. I see you've been a good girl lately. That's nice, isn't it hyunnie?" Sehun almost choked on his own saliva. *Oh man Kai's definitely gonna about this when we get back. Speaking of which, I wonder where he went.* He looked around and shrugged when he couldn't find Kai. Hae Ra stood behind D.O, feeling intimidated by Mi Young's presence and you noticed D.O tightened his jaw at the sight of that woman. Suho noticed the tension too and decided to handle things. "Okay guys, we can talk later. Class is about to start. Let's go." He gently pushed you and Sehun towards the stairs. D.O gave one last stare at Mi Young before walking off to send Hae Ra to her class. When everyone left, Mi Young had a triumphant smile on her face. But Baekhyun sighed and started walking towards his class.

Crossing her arms over her chest, she cleared loud enough to make Baekhyun turn to face her raising his eye brows. "What?" He asked. Mi Young could tell that he was upset but she shrugged it off and smiled at him while placing her hands in his. "Hyunnie ah, could you send me to class today? I envy how D.O always sends Hae Ra. You could do the same can you?" She flashed her pearly whites at him and all he could do was nod. Baekhyun just had to endure this, until everything was over. Until your family is not threatened anymore. He could handle that right? But the look on your face when you saw him and Mi Young linking hands just shattered his heart. He knew you felt guilty. And he felt guilty too. He wanted to be with you. He wanted to link arms with you and send you to your classes. Not with Mi Young. Baekhyun was deep in his thoughts when Mi Young waved her hands in front of his face. "Hello? Earth to Baekhyun? Why aren't you listening to what I'm saying?" Baekhyun blinked and looked at her, confused. *Did she say something?* He thought. Mi Young sighed and rolled her eyes, letting go of his hand at the same time. "Look, I expect people to look at me when I'm talking. And because you didn't, you don't have to send me to class today. I'll see you at lunch." Even though she sounded upset, she still leaned in and gave him a light peck on the cheek and walked off.

Immediately Baekhyun ran towards the washroom and splashed water to his face. Beads of water trickle down his neck and into his school shirt. He stood there for awhile, staring at his own reflection. "This is for her. You're doing this for her. Because she means the world to you." He said out loud, feeling that he should assure himself of what he was doing. Just then the bell rang signaling the first lesson of the day was about to start. He dried his hands against his school pants, took one last look into the mirror and walked out, hoping he's not late for class. 

The door of the cubicle opened and Kai slowly walked out, staring at the spot where Baekhyun was before. "Because she means the world to you..." He repeated. "Baek too huh?" He looked at his own reflection in the mirror. *If it's not me then, it's him?* He thought to himself before going out from the washroom.
