Alien Gut Feeling

The Heartbreaker's Game

Eun Hae’s POV

I woke up and groaned when I rolled over and my eyes landed on the calendar, marking today’s date.

Today is Friday.

Field Trip day.

Great.

I didn’t want to get up but I had to. Going for the Field Trip will count as attendance and this year I’m aiming for the perfect attendance. It was the only thing I can achieve this year because studies are out. I at studying. I can never pull of a good grade but at least I can pull off attendance.

As I dragged my feet to the bathroom, my eyes all bleary from sleep, I just hope that Yongguk wouldn’t be joining us. I avoided him the whole yesterday after what happened that day during detention and he avoided me as well. That was probably the most peaceful day of my life.

I was lucky Changjo kept by my side at all times too, just to make sure. I shook my head, brushing my teeth, as I recalled how protective he seemed of me yesterday, making sure he was always waiting for me after every class so I wouldn’t be caught being alone with Bang Yongguk again.

He’s a sweetheart, but he’s also annoyingly a pain in the .

It didn’t take me long to decide on an outfit once I was done bathing. I wasn’t going to impress anyone so I just wore a grey T-shirt with a tree as the design with birds flying to the tree on the right side and birds taking off at the left side of the tree. At the bottom were three little birds. Then I rummaged through my closet until I found a pair of dark, navy blue tights with three bottoms at the end of the leggings, lining in a straight line from up to down. I frowned when I looked at myself in the full-length mirror.

My looked too big.

So I took out my brown and cream-ish checkered pants and pulled it over my tights, fastening it with a green belt. I decided to tie my hair up into a half-pony tail. Then I grabbed my leather bracelet and multi-colored-strings bracelet and slipped them on my left wrist. Teacher Yong said to wear comfortable shoes so I decided to wear my white converse. I grabbed my brown sling bag and walked out of the building.

I patted my pocket on my pants to make sure my hand phone was there. Yeap, it was. So was my MP3 player in my other pocket. Good. At least I can entertain myself if I get too bored or something.

I went to school and my class was all standing outside waiting for our bus as students from other classes and years all walked inside the school compound. My class was colourful with girls wearing short, miniskirts that showed off their long, slim legs and really tight shirts that made their s want to burst. The guys were just dressed in casual shirts and jeans. No biggie.

I craned my neck.

Darn it, Yongguk is following us. I kept my head down when he turned to look at me. I didn’t want to face him just yet. I don’t know why but now every time I see him, I’m reminded of what happened at the detention room the other day and it made my stomach churn. Could it be that I’ve developed a fear of Bang Yongguk?

Teacher Yong marked the attendance and everyone, surprisingly, were here. Then he made us all clamber onto the bus. I wasn’t surprised when I sat alone. I had already expected it.

But what I didn’t expect was Yongguk to come and sit next to me almost immediately the moment the bus began to pull off from the curb.

“Hi,” he drawled with that dirty, erted smile of his.

I ignored him and looked out of the window.

“You look tired,” he said, trying to make conversation. I was tired. I didn’t get enough sleep last night from trying to finish all my homework on time even though we had the weekend to do it and especially since we practically have a day-off today because of this stupid Field Trip. “Why don’t you sit at a much comfortable position and rest for a bit?” he went on.

I leaned my seat back a little and got more comfortable. “Done.”

He rolled his eyes and patted on his lap. “You can go on a much more comfortable ride if you want, sweetheart,” he smirked. He reached out to grab my shoulder, making me to face his way.

“Take your hands off me,” I snarled.

“What if I don’t?”

I shoved him and he fell off his seat, landing on the floor with a loud thud. Everyone turned to look at us. He blushed, embarrassed, to have been rejected by a girl so publicly. As he stood up, he glared at me.

I just smirked and raised an eyebrow. “Fallen for me, have you, Yongguk sunbae?” I said mockingly.

“You wouldn’t be so lucky. Who’d fancy you, you stuck-up cow?” Yongguk sneered as though he was trying to make me look bad even though he was the one making a fool of himself. In fact, all the s in my class were already beginning to lose interest in him so it was his loss and my gain.

He stalked off in a huff while I relaxed in my seat, plugging my headphones to my ears to drown out people’s voices. I let MBLAQ’s songs blast through my ears, hearing G.O’s sweet voice, Cheon Doong’s captivating rap and Mir’s perfect deep voice. Joon and Seungho’s voice sang sweetly in the background as well.

I don’t know how long we’ve been in the bus but just as Joon’s voice came on through their song ‘Y’, the bus suddenly jerked to a halt. I looked out of the window to see a building. Sports Stadium.

My face fell.

“We’re here!” Teacher Yong called out and I took my headphones off reluctantly. This is not going to be fun.

We are not going to be having our field trip here, will we? I mean, I like sports and all but I’m not a fan of them. and I know the girls in my class would be horrified while the guys would be hooting with excitement.

I was not wrong.

“Awesome! We’re at the Sports Stadium.” some dude called out. “Maybe we get to kick a few balls in the field.”

“Maybe shoot some hoops,” his friend replied.

Meanwhile, the girls had the opposite reactions.

“Ewww, is this, like, some kind of a joke?” a girl complained, crinkling her face. “I don’t want to get all sweaty and dirty.”

“Why are we even here?” another girl asked, rolling her eyes.

Behind me, I heard a guy saying to his girlfriend, “Babe, the stadium is pretty big. We’ve got lots places to try out, new positions. . . .”

I made a face while the girl giggled and replied, “Awww, I can’t wait, baby.”

I heard them make out and was nearly sick. Can they get a room already? I thought as I shoved my headphones into the bag and stood up. Unfortunately, the bus was still moving so I jerked back, loosing my balance, and fell back onto my seat.

Fortunately, no one saw.

I looked out at the window again to the Sports Stadium. I looked down to the road and saw a cute guy with blonde hair walking down the road. He looked up as though he sensed I was staring. I blushed and quickly looked away. But . . . I didn’t get a chance to see his features properly. I slowly turned my head back to him, hoping he was still there, making sure I wasn’t being obvious that I wanted to look at him.

He was still there.

And he was looking back at me.

He was cute, like maybe a pretty boy type of cute. But his gaze was so intense I felt like it was boring through my eyes. I blushed like mad for having been caught, looking down, and my heart was racing.

What an idiot you are, Eun Hae.

Finally the bus came to a stop and everyone stood up and began piling out of the door. I chose this opportunity to look out the window again. Would that guy with the pretty-boy features and intense gaze still be there?

He was gone.

I shook my head. “Maybe you’re being delusional,” I muttered. Something about him felt strangely weird. I don’t know. I can’t quite place it. I got up, slinging my bag over my shoulders and walked out, following the students.

“Okay, everyone, pair up!” Teacher Yong said. “Make sure you two stick together always!”

I scoffed. Like who would want to pair up with me? I thought bitterly as everyone all turned to look for their friend to pair up with. Those who were already a couple paired up while guys paired up their friends and girls paired up with their best friend. I stuck out like a sore thumb.

“Everyone have a partner? Who doesn’t have a partner?”

“Eun Hae doesn’t!” some guy called out.

Teacher Yong looked at me. I glanced back, startled. I was so lost in thought I forgot to go look for a partner. Even those who were considered losers already had their own partners. Great, now I’m even a bigger idiot.

“I’ll be her partner,” Yongguk offered.

Not again!

“It’s fine,” I quickly said. “I can be alone. I’ll just stick closer to you guys. I can handle it alone.”

But Teacher Yong shook his head. “Rules are rules. You need to have a partner, Miss Jung. You should be grateful that Yongguk is here and is willing to be your partner,” he said to me.

Aw man.

Bitterly, I nodded and Yongguk strutted over to me with a smirk on his face. He placed his arm around my waist and pulled me close while the others all started following Teacher Yong inside the stadium. “Don’t worry, baby, I’ll keep you real close,” he whispered, his breath on my neck.

I shuddered and pulled away from him. I folded my arms across my chest and frowned at him. “Keep your distance from me, you ,” I snapped.

He shook his head. “Ah, ah, ah. Not so close.” He held out a paper.

It was only then I realized that it was the paper I wrote the lines he made me write as a form of punishment. I narrowed my eyes. Why did he bring it here? Why is he holding it up . . . oh no. Realization sunk in too late.

“If you don’t do what I tell you to do, I’ll show this to Teacher Yong and make it look as though you’re desperate for me,” he threatened.

I tried to jump to grab it but he was so tall and I was so short. He smirked, amused, as he watched me desperately jump for my life to grab the paper. Damn, why is he such a giant?!

“Come and get it, shortie.”

I tried to punch him, making him double over but his reflexes were good. He caught my wrist and twisted me around until he had me in his arms, my back pressed against his chest. “It’s evil to blackmail,” I mumbled but he knew he got to me.

He pulled me close again. “Baby, we’re going to have a fun time together,” he whispered into my ear as we followed the others inside the stadium room. “By the end of the day, you’d be begging for more.”

“Yeah, begging to kill you,” I muttered. But my mind was wandering . . . back to that cute boy. I wonder who he is.

Lu Han’s POV

I was walking around the streets when this bus stopped by in front of the Sports Stadium. Intrigued, I stopped to see. I looked up to a window and saw this really cute girl looking at me. She blushed when she realized she was caught staring me and looked away. I continued to look at her. She looked back and saw that I was still looking at her. She looked away again. I smirked, walking off.

Huh, maybe I should hang around for a bit. Somehow my alien gut feeling is telling me to stay.

Chapter 10: I like that she does not let YongGuk disrespect her but I'm a little annoyed as in how easy she let LuHan convince her and be as rude as YongGuk is (without the ual harrassment of course) and let it slide.
