You Irritate Me, Yet I Still Want You

The Heartbreaker's Game

Eun Hae’s POV

The next morning, I smiled brightly the moment I woke up. I had a pleasant dream — not about Lu Han. And that meant he didn’t try to do any funny business with me last night. He was being annoying to me last night, irritating me with his cockiness as usual that I had shut the door and went to sleep.

And so, waking up to a beautiful morning was just what I needed to put me in a good mood today.

That was, unfortunately, until I felt an arm wrapped around my waist.

My good mood disappeared almost in an instant, replaced by a deep scowl, and I turned to scold Lu Han for coming in here to sleep with me when I stopped and let out a gasp, my face growing hot, flushed.

Why must Lu Han look so adorable and peaceful when he’s asleep?!

Ugh.

I studied his features. His light brown hair shaded his eyes, but his thin, pink lips looked so welcoming, with his facial muscles relaxed. I leaned forward and touched our foreheads, our nose touching. My throat grew dry and I my dry lips. I placed my palm on his bare chest and he subconsciously wrapped his arms around me even tighter. I could feel his heart beat against my chest. Could he feel my rapid heartbeat thudding against his?

Suddenly without warning, Lu Han’s eyes flew opened and I was staring right into those gentle brown orbs.

“Eeep!” I exclaimed, startled, pulling back.

But Lu Han pulled me back to him with a smile. “Good morning, Eun Hae,” he said cheekily. “I know I’m very handsome but you staring at me is starting to freak me out. Please, do try to refrain yourself.”

I frowned.

So much for a good day.

I pushed him away and sat up on my legs. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I mumbled, embarrassed, looking down on my hands. “Anyway, what the hell are you doing, sleeping next to me? I didn’t give you the guest room for nothing you know!”

He propped an elbow on a pillow and rested his head on the hand. He looked so hot with his hair all tousled up, giving me that smirk. I squeezed my eyes shut and told myself to focus. He pouted cutely. “I couldn’t sleep,” he told me pitifully. “So I thought you’d keep me company.”

“.”

He smirked. “Yes, lovely you’ve got,” he said. I couldn’t decipher his tone of voice. “I mean, I didn’t know you didn’t wear clothes to sleep. Anyone ever told you how hot and y you looked? What if some dude breaks into the house in the middle of the night, sees how hot you are, gets unbelievably and you? I doubt you’d be able to defend yourself well.”

“What the hell do you mean?” I demanded to know.

He didn’t say anything. He just eyed me up and down, with an eyebrow arched and a smirk at the corner of his mouth. I quickly covered myself, feeling like he was undressing me with his eyes.

Why do I feel so much skin?

I looked down and my eyes widened. Sure enough, I wasn’t wearing clothes. I was only in my black-and-white polka dots with ribbons at the sides that kept my up and secured. Then I glanced at my shirt and realized that I was wearing a mini tank top, which held my , showing my bare stomach.

I blushed. I only stripped down to my undergarments because it was so hot last night! I don’t normally sleep without any clothes on. I looked at him and realized that he was only wearing a pair of very thin, fabric boxers.

Oh .

If anyone were to come inside the room and see how almost we seemed, along with the messy bed and his tousled hair, they would have thought that Lu Han and I slept together in that sense.

.

I felt his hand creeping to my thighs. Before I had time to process this all in, he had cupped my core with his cool hand and I gasped at the touch. I looked at me and he smirked. He leaned forward and kissed my lips as his hands worked their way up from my hips to my waist, pulling my close. My body felt all tingly and fuzzy as Lu Han casually rubbed my body with his hand. Then I felt his right hand moving up to cup my left .

I broke away from him, jumping out of bed and grabbed my blanket to cover myself up. My face was red with embarrassment. “Y – Yah!” I exclaimed.

He shrugged as if it was nothing. Lu Han then waved his hand and I was practically sitting on his lap, my back to him. I felt his grip tightening around me and his head snuggling behind my back. I could feel his bare chest on my almost-, his legs “Ah, this is comfortable.”

I shook my head. “I told you since Day One, you’re not allowed to use your powers on me nor force me to be close to you,” I said huffily, squirming under his grip but it was no use. He wouldn’t budge.

“And I told from Day One that I don’t follow rules,” he simply replied. He planted sweet and short kisses all over my neck and I shivered at the contact. “You were so checking me out.”

“Was not!” I protested quickly. I squirmed again.

He groaned and suddenly I felt something poking my . The hell? Don’t tell me that it’s his . . . “Stop moving, you’re making me hard,” he grumbled, sounding like he was frustrated. ually frustrated, that is.

I was immediately still.

He smiled smugly at me. “And yes, you were checking me out,” he went on, enjoying my irritation. “When will you ever admit how hot I am and just tell me? You know you want me.” His hand crept to my legs, his lips on my neck, blowing warm hair down my spine.

“S – Stop it,” I stammered. I felt confused. I knew this is wrong, that we shouldn’t be doing this, yet I honestly didn’t want to stop. Lu Han made my heart race, made me wishing for more.

He kissed my neck. “Babe, admit it that you want me. You can’t resist me.”

That irked me.

Who the hell does he think he is?!

Gathering all my strength, I yanked myself free from his grip and stood up, holding the blanket around myself with one hand and pointed a finger at him with my other hand. “You are such a jerk!” I screeched.

He blinked innocently at me. He could have used his powers to pull me back to him but he decided to humour me and placed his hands on his lap instead, setting his foot down to the floor, sitting up straight. “But you think I’m cute too,” he smiled.

I rolled my eyes and folded my arms across my chest. “Okay, now you’re delusional. Did you hit your head or something? Did it hurt? Not that I care,” I added.

He smirked, folding his arms across his chest. “What, you mean, did it hurt when I fell down from heaven?” He shook his head. “No, it didn’t hurt because you were there to catch me when I fell.”

I kept my expression blank. “Okay, buddy.”

He sighed. “One day, you’ll appreciate my good-looks.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Oh yea? Then, one day,” I drawled slowly, mimicking him and he raised an eyebrow that I would dare challenge him, “when I do appreciate your good-looks will be the same day unicorns become our source of transportation.” I smirked. “Oh, look, that’s another thing that’ll never happen.”

“Is that a fact?” Lu Han asked.

“It is, actually,” I retorted.

“Touche,” he remarked. He shrugged. “You do know that since aliens actually exist, there is a possible chance that unicorns does too?”

I was at loss for words. Scowling, but not wanting to admit defeat and not to boost his pride and ego even more, I spun on my heels and walked to the bathroom to take my shower. I had wasted precious time just arguing with me about this thing. I still had to go to school.

When I came out, Lu Han winked at me before heading inside the bathroom himself. I got dressed in my school uniform. When I was just tying my hair, Lu Han walked back inside my room with the towel wrapped loosely around his waist, his hair dripping wet from the showers.

I turned and my eyes widened as I stared at the water glistening his chest, giving it a really good . . . whoa.

He caught me staring and chuckled softly to himself. “You know, if you want me this badly, all you have to do is ask,” he called out, breaking me from my trance.

I shook my head, squeezing my eyes shut and mentally hit myself.

“You know that I will be more than happy to give you whatever desires you want, Eun Hae.” He then dropped the towel. I quickly turned back, averting my eyes, face red as I fumbled with my tie.

Omo, he’s behind me!

“Relax,” he laughed. “I’m wearing my boxers.”

I turned and breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that he wasn’t lying, he really was wearing his boxers. So I scowled. “That is not funny,” I chastised.

He started walking toward me. I walked backward and cursed under my breath when I realized I’d walked into a wall. I was trapped. He kept coming until he held his hands out, placing them beside me, and trapping me in between. He smirked before leaning down. My eyes automatically shut against my will, my lips moving in sync with his when my brains told them not to.

His left hand remained on the wall as he pinned himself against me, his right hand slipping down to wrap around my waist. I held onto his shoulders as our tongues fought for dominance. I won, surprisingly, and as I explored his mouth, smelling the minty and cool breath of his toothpaste, he deepened the kiss. I could feel our hearts beating together and my legs were lifted up to wrap themselves around his waist and my arms s around his neck, pulling him close.

How did we go from me being irritated with me in the morning to wanting more of his kisses?

Stupid alien.

How can he attract me to him so much?!

After a long time, we broke apart and smiled at each other. He caressed my cheek with his left hand before he set me down gently and I pouted. “You have to get to school,” he told me. “You don’t want to be late. You want me to walk you to school?” he offered.

I shook my head. “I’ll be fine.”

He looked at me and frowned. “I’ll be invisible. I’ll only go when you see your friend.”

I frowned as well. “It’s okay, you don’t have to,” I told him.

He shook his head firmly. “I want to be there just in case you run into Yongguk or Himchan, Eun Hae,” he replied and it made my heart flutter. Does he care about me? Why is he being so nice? He stepped away and handed me by school bag. “Go, I’ll be there in a jiffy. I promise.”

I nodded and headed out of the apartment. When I reached down and started my way, I heard a whooshing sound. I turned and saw Lu Han smiling at me. Oh, right. He told me he could appear anywhere I am as long as he pictured my face. Hand-in-hand, we walked to the cafe. When it was a distance in sight, he kissed me softly one more time before he let me go.

“Now, be careful,” he told me like a mother telling her child and I giggled. He smiled and cupped my face. “And come back home safely after school, all right? Try to concentrate on your work. I know I occupy a lot of space in your mind, but education comes first, all right?”

I scowled. “Cocky bastard.”

He laughed and kissed my cheeks. “Bye, Eun Hae. Have a nice day!” He waved and disappeared.

I shook my head and walked to where Daeseul was waiting. Kai was with her. I waved at him and he waved back. Daeseul seemed surprised to see that we were so friendly with each other. But we just smiled and shrugged and Daeseul and I headed our way to school.

“How do you know him? He’s the guy I want to set you up with!”

I laughed. “Work, my dear,” I told her. “Remember?”

“Oh. . . . Yeah . . .”

As the two of us settled and chatted on the way to school, someone walked right into us at the corner of a road. We took a few steps back, careful not to make our coffee to spill on us. “Whoops, sorry!”

We looked up and were face-to-face with Daehyun. I scowled. He looked surprised to see me. Daeseul just shrugged. “It’s okay,” she said.

I pulled Daeseul along, walking right past him.

“Eun Hae, wait!” I heard Daehyun called out to be but I ignored him.

I do not associate myself with any of Bang Yongguk’s friends, even if they try to be nice to me. He called me a couple of times but I kept on walking.

Chapter 10: I like that she does not let YongGuk disrespect her but I'm a little annoyed as in how easy she let LuHan convince her and be as rude as YongGuk is (without the ual harrassment of course) and let it slide.
