We Almost Did It

The Heartbreaker's Game

Lu Han’s POV

I waited anxiously for Eun Hae to come back. I was sitting on the couch in the living room, drumming my fingers on the armrest impatiently. I looked at the clock. She’s been out there with him for about ten minutes now. What was taking her so long? Please, she better not be with Kai doing . . . things.

I shuddered.

I didn’t want to imagine it. If she does it with him, that means he’s going to be one step ahead of me. How long have they known each other? How come dui zhang never said anything to me about it?

Finally she walked through the front door with a dazed expression and I looked up quizzically. I stood up. When she turned around to face me, she bit her lip. “Are you okay?”

I blinked. “I was about to ask you the same thing,” I said, confused. Wasn’t she the one who was crying and freaking out just now when she realized that Kai was an alien? “I thought you were upset because Kai was an alien?”

She shrugged. “I overreacted,” she replied. She came over to me and I saw the worried look in her eyes.

I cupped her face. “Are you okay?” I was worried. How can she be so calm about this whole situation when she was just freaking out about it earlier?

She nodded. “Kai Oppa told me about his powers. He has teleportation, and you have telekinesis. This is so weird,” she replied, shaking her head. She rubbed her eyes and tried to smile. “I’m sorry I overreacted. I guess I was still trying to get it through my head that aliens are actually coming down to Earth.” She looked at me. “Could this be a coincidence or something?”

I shrugged nonchalantly, not wanting to tell her the truth. She’s not allowed to know about the Games.

“I also heard that you guys never met each other until now.”

“Well, Exo is quite big,” I told her. It was the truth. It was just like how before she met Daeseul and such. “It was a city, after all, remember I told you?”

“Didn’t you say that you lived in a building?”

Oh right. I need to remember my lies. Damn, what’s going on? I used to remember every lie I’d told. How come I’ve forgotten about it?

“So I guess that meant I never met him, right?”

She nodded, believing me. She yawned. “I’m tired,” she said, stretching for a bit. “I think I’m going to head off to bed now.” She made a move toward her bedroom but I pulled her back into my arms. She gasped. “Lu Han!”

I cupped her face and kissed her softly. “Can I sleep with you, just for tonight? Please?” I need to hold her, to be reassured that she was still mine, that I was still a step ahead of him. I have to win the Game.

I need to win the Game.

She seemed surprised and was about to protest but then she saw the urgency in my eyes and relented. She nodded, a tiny smile forming on her lips. “Sure,” she replied.

I dropped my hands to hold her hands. She smiled and followed me into her room, never letting go. She went to take a bath before she came out wearing a shirt and shorts. I smiled as I walked inside the bathroom to prepare myself for sleep. When I came out, she was waiting for me in bed. I gulped, feeling a bit edgy.

I knew that I wouldn’t be getting anything tonight. But why do I still feel quite nervous about this? Why was my heart racing so fast? I could my pulse quickening.

Damnit, why was she so y? She’s making me really . Ugh, why do I feel like I was getting hard?

I had to cover my crotch to stop her from seeing as I quickly got into bed next to her. I threw my shirt over my head and tossed it to her chair so I was left only in my boxers. She made room for me in bed and threw the covers over our legs to keep us warm and I threw my arms around her shoulder.

I turned the lights off until the only light in the room was the moon shining from the windowpane. I could see her figure in the light. I reached my hand out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and nibbled her ear gently.

She giggled and pushed me away slightly but she rested her head on my shoulder. “Lu Han, just because I let you sleep here, doesn’t mean that we’re going to have or something,” she said. She moved her legs and it accidentally brushed against my bare legs. It was even worse when her legs were bare too.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and inconspicuously slipped it under her shirt. With my thumb, I gently her bare hips and she shivered. I smiled and she turned to me. I lied down on her bed and pulled her on top of me.

She looked down at me and leaned down. She kissed me softly and I could feel her heart beating against my own chest. I buried a hand in her hair and slipped my tongue inside , dancing wildly. Her heartbeat raced faster and her hands roamed my chest. I rolled over and pinned her down. I smiled down at her and she cupped my face.

Lu Han . . .” she whispered.

I leaned down and kissed her neck, tracing her neckline down to her collarbone before I slowly made my lips move back up. She lifted her head up high to get a better access and moaned softly when I on her sweet spot. My hands trickled down to her waist and it was under her shirt again. She wrapped her legs around my waist and I felt my in between her legs.

.

I pulled away. “Eun Hae, I can’t,” I muttered even though I should have just gone out to do it with her, break her heart and win the Game. That way Kai wouldn’t stand a chance before the real thing even began.

She blushed as I looked down into her eyes. I could tell she was excited for the moment but she wasn’t ready for it. I leaned down, kissing her softly again before I rolled over her body and she cuddled up with me in the dark.

I let her sleep on my chest as my arms wrapped around her body, my thumb moving in circular motions on her arm.

Then I remembered the picture of B.A.P and Eun Hae.

“Eun Hae?” I said into the darkness. “What’s your relationship with Yongguk and Himchan?”

“What do you mean?” she mumbled sleepily, snuggling up in my arms.

“I went to their apartment today to take revenge on what they did to you,” I said softly and her body stiffened. “I scared them by making they think there was a ghost in their place. And then on their television, was a picture of them with friends . . . and you were standing in the middle of them. Yongguk and Daehyun had their arms around you.”

She sighed. “Lu Han, they were . . . I mean, B.A.P was . . .” She hesitated but decided to tell me. “I guess I could tell you. I mean, I do trust you.” I waited and she continued, “They used to be my best friends.”

I frowned. “Best friends?

She nodded. I felt her head moving up and down on my chest and her fist curled up into a ball, resting on my stomach. “We became really close friends,” she said little regretfully. “We bumped into each other one day, we clicked, and we began did everything together.”

“Then what happened?”

She didn’t answer. Instead, she sat up and turned away.

“What happened, Eun Hae?” I persisted, making her face me again. “I mean, why did you guys started to fall away? If you guys were best friends, why did they abandon you in the end?”

She looked down and began fiddling with the corner of the blanket. “Well, I guess that something did happen between us.”

“What?” I was actually scared to ask her but I was curious. Something was wrong and I wanted to know so that I could comfort her.

“Well, you remember the day you saw Himchan and Yongguk trying to me? Then you said I was your girlfriend?” she asked me.

“Yeah . . .” I said slowly.

“That wasn’t the first time.”

“I sort of figured it out,” I replied.

“They tried doing it to me when I was fifteen,” she muttered. “I don’t know. They all just started to notice that I was a girl so they . . . t – they t – tried to . . .” She began crying all over again.

I clenched my fist and hugged her. “They tried to sleep with you.”

She nodded. “But it was only those two,” she said, “because they were the horniest one. But I refused, kicked a fuss, and they got mad. They began to hate me, only because they couldn’t get what they wanted from me.”

“What about the others? Like, err, Daehyun, Youngjae and . . .” I couldn’t remember — no, I didn’t know their names.

“Jongup and Zelo?”

I nodded.

She gulped and I wiped her tears away again. “They’re powerless over those two,” she said tiredly. “They are the two toughest guys in the group and they controlled the others by fear. They would have still stayed as my friends, but they were scared of them. You saw them. You knew how they were like.”

I nodded. I had an idea of what they may be like. I hugged her. “Eun Hae, I promised you as long as I’m here, I’ll always protect you from harm, especially from them.” I will always be there to protect her.

But then . . .

I lied down next to her and hugged her, pushing thoughts away.

“I’m glad I’ve got you to be there for me,” she whispered as we resumed back into the same position we were just now. “You, Changjo, Aunty Yu — oh crap!” She sat up. “I forgot I was supposed to go over to their house for dinner today so she could talk to me about my school! Aaaahhhh!!!” She covered her face.

I removed them. “Well, you could just tell them that you were busy with work and that you couldn’t even contact them to tell them that you were busy,” I told her.

She looked at me pitifully. “She’s going to be furious,” she muttered.

I lied back down and brought down with me. “It’s late, and you should sleep.”

“Mmm.” She lied back down with me. “Lu Han? I’m glad you’re here with me.”

Uh, speaking of that. “Yeah, I’ve got a confession,” I said and she looked at me. “I won’t be around for awhile.”

She frowned. “What do you mean?”

I looked at her. I didn’t want to leave her, but I have to leave. “I have to go back to Exo for awhile,” I said. “I have to solve some things first.” Like find out why and how come Kai and I end up fighting for the same girl.

“How long will you be gone for?”

I sighed. I don’t want to leave because I’m scared Kai might interfere. “I don’t know. I’m leaving first light, but I’ll try to come back as soon as I can,” I promised.

She nodded. “Be safe.”

I kissed her and she kissed me back. After a few kisses, she fell asleep and I watched her as she slept, wishing I didn’t have to leave. Tenderly, I leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead before I went to sleep myself.

I promise I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Chapter 10: I like that she does not let YongGuk disrespect her but I'm a little annoyed as in how easy she let LuHan convince her and be as rude as YongGuk is (without the ual harrassment of course) and let it slide.
