A few minutes later, Jessica came back out to see Taeyeon and Irene still chatting along, now with the rest of the group. They turned to look at her as she came back to them.

"I am going back home, you better come home tonight." Jessica grumpily left the goup.

"Jess..."

Irene looked at Jessica and Taeyeon observingly, they don't seem to be in a fake relationship...Jessica was obviously jealous...She thought. 

"Taeyeon want to come over?" Irene tugged at Taeyeon's shirt.

"How was the recording session?" Mr. Jung asked Jessica as he entered his daugther's room.

Jessica didn't notice her father until he was right beside her bed. She was scrunched up at the corner of her bed thinking of what happened earlier today.

"You don't seem to be too happy?" He looked down and observed Jessica's lifeless expression.

"Huh? Oh, where did you get that trash sound engineer?"

Mr. Jung raised an eyebrow at how Jessica said that so calmly, normally she woulda shouted. "What happened? Didn't you get to sing like you wanted? I even asked them to let you use your guitar, normally they only auditioned singers based on acapella."

"That sound engineer asked me to sing faster and louder. He complained about my voice being too flat and sing to slow, what a bunch of bullsh*t." Jessica grumbled.

"So you gave up? Do you still want to sing?"

"No, I know am better. You just need to hire a better sound guy, that guy was an idiot." 

"Oh? Even when he criticized you like that?" Mr. Jung asked her again, sounding unconvinced.

"I don't care about his criticisms...can you stop asking me questions, not in the mood." 

"Would it help if I said I am going to let you pursue your career in music?" 

"Ugh! Yeah! Yeah! Just leave me alone for now ok?" 

Mr. Jung heaved a sigh and left the room, wondering what gotten into her daughter. He thought she would be happy at the news, except he got the completely opposite reaction.

Jessica checked her phone and swipped through her messages.

[Krystal]: Unnie, I am sick. I am coming home early. Can you cook for me?

After some careful thought, Jessica agreed to it because it might benefit her.

[Jessica]: Yeah, sure.

[Krystal]: REALLY???? WOW WOW WOW I'M ON MY WAY HOME NOW!!! 

That gave Jessica an idea. She texted Taeyeon:

The group of girls were at Irene's car, who agreed to take them back to their home. Irene sat at the passenger seat of course, she always sat there. 

Because it was just a SUV, there weren't enough room for all four of them at the back seat. Yeri proposed that she sit on Taeyeon unnie's lap. Joy and Seulgi gladly accepted that idea, because neither of them wanted to do that. Yeri chirped with happiness and giggled at Taeyeon.

Taeyeon wasn't a big fan of the idea, she looked hesitantly at the middle back seat, it had the only single lap seatbelt that's long enough to cover two people. She forced a smil
