“Someone knocked you out then.” She tries to drag out the truth as long as possible, hoping some miracle will save her from the creepy man’s interrogation. Tiffany just watched Taeyeon with amusement in her eyes.

“Who knocked me out?”

“Definitely not me. Uhhh... follow me, I will show you.” Taeyeon got up and walked towards the door.

“Where are you going?” Tiffany looked at them walking out. 

“We will be right back.” Taeyeon winked at her.

On the way there, Taeyeon walked nervously to the apartment building on the other side of the street and buzzed the number once again.

"Yes?"

"He wants to see you." Taeyeon said half-witted.

"Who?"

"Oh my god, who do you think? Buzz us in!" 

"You never had manners."

---buzzz---

Taeyeon lead the way to Joowon's apartment unit. 

The man knocked loudly on the door as if he could knock down the entire door. Might as well kick the door down if you are going to knock the door that hard.  Taeyeon thought in her head. 

"Come in."

Taeyeon ran past the man and into the apartment first. The man slowly followed behind her. 

"He knocked you out." Taeyeon pointed her finger at Joowon standing against a wall with his arms crossed.

"Joo?" The man looked at Joowon doubtedly. "Last time we spoke in Seoul you were a fine young man. I often thought about how you managed in a smaller city like this, especially with your mother still sick back in Seoul."

"Mr.Choi, why are you here?" Joowon ignored his concern. His voice was calm and direct, it had a coldness that Taeyeon always admired. 

"Mr.Lee asked me to come and teach this girl some lessons. I guess you can say I am her afterschool teacher."

"Lessons? AFTERschool teacher??" Taeyeon choked, shocked beyond belief, she already hated school as much as it is.

"Yes mam. Your uncle is too busy so he couldn't come here himself. But I can assure you that he thinks of you all the time."

Mr.Choi sat himself on a dining table chair not too far from where Joowon was standing.

"Now I think back, was it because that I acted weird when I was following them so that you wacked me on the head?"

"It wasn't me." Joonwon points his finger at Taeyeon, "it was her."

Taeyeon tried her best innocent smile at Mr.Choi.

"It wasn't just once. She knocked you out, three times." Joowon said, remembering his condition when he inspected his wounds. Then he added, "You should probably see a doctor."

Mr.Choi turned his head towards Taeyeon, surprised that the small girl was clever enough to defend herself.

Taeyeon's eyes turned the other way, deep down she was a bit worried. Mr.Choi just got to town, so he has to stay somewhere and since Joowon rejected the idea, Taeyeon reluctantly agreed to him staying one night at her place. After Joowon helped Mr.Choi bandage his head, Taeyeon lead Mr.Choi back to her place again. She walked back with a sunken face, because her original idea was to keep Mr.Choi at Joowon's. Then she suddenly remembered that Tiffany was still at her house.

Taeyeon ran back to her place, however, much to her disappointment no one was there. Tiffany had already headed back home a while ago. 

She sank herself on the sofa and noticed there was a note left on the coffee table.

She took the ripped piece of paper and read:

Hiii ~

Thank you so much for the "dinner", although I cooked all of it! You REALLY REAAALLLLLY need to start eating more and healthier too! I gave you a list of healthy foods that you can try for your next grocery trip ^~^. 

Anyways! It was getting waaaaaaay too awkward being alone. I got really curious of what your room might look like, which is why I left before my curiosity kills me. I figured if I stayed longer, your parents might come and it would make it even more awkward! hehe. I left you some gummy worms that I found in my bag to thank you for the tangerine and help with math again ~ <3
