"You will be going to America for school." Her father told her on their drive to Seoul.

"What?? I don't want to!" Tiffany whined, mind is still occupied by Taeyeon being upset with her.

"Why's that? You always wanted to go there when you were little, and cried at how much you wanted to hear Madonna. What made you change your mind?" Her dad smiled at her interestedly.

"I just don't want to. I like Jeonju, it's small and its nice." 

"Ooooo someone is taking sides with her mom. It's okay, you can always come back and visit. I promise during your summer breaks I can arrange something." Her dad patted her on the head.

"I really don't want to go !!! UGH!!!!!" Tiffany bounced on her seat frustratedly.

"Stephanie-yah, I know it's earlier than expected. But it's so you can get used to America before starting university there. It's a good head start in learning English."

"I can learn English here!" Tiffany said with a big frown on her face.

"To properly learn English you will have to be in the right environment. No body really speaks English on a regular basis in Korea."

"Hmph!"

I didn't even give Taeyeon my number... Tiffany leaned her head against the window and eventually fell asleep.

Deep in her heart, she felt her situation to be incredibly ridiculous - why would she suddenly, so afraid of people reporting back to her uncle? What if he knows what she is doing? Tiffany's personality was not a lie, she can still be trusted. She already made the decision to not listen to her uncle completely and will not go to America to study no matter what. So there is no reason for her to be mad at Tiffany anymore, right?

"TAEYEON! Focus!" A voice snapped her back to reality and a stick wacked her on the side of her head.

"This is the third day in a row where you are distracted like this!" 

"Sorry." Taeyeon tilted her head down.

"Let's cancel the rest of the week's sessions until you recover from whatever is distracting you." Joowon stated and dismissed her.

Clearly I don't want to be mad at her anymore. I will talk to her after school starts. Sigh, only if I had her contact. The wack on the head finally cleared the problem that haunted her mind for the past few days.

At Mr. Choi's, in truth Taeyeon did not completely understand what she was learning - topics ranged from calculus, probabilities and statistics, linear algebra and other math related topics to computer programming courses. Mr. Choi would fit in some lessons about business and accounting every so often, which were the courses that Taeyeon found boring and did not know why she had to learn the subjects. It could remind her of a memory that she does not want to remember, yet she does not know what the actual memory was. However, due to her lack of anything else to do, having no friends and no parents to actually care about, she focused all her energy into studying. And it was exactly her abscence of friends and loved ones that allowed her to overcome a lot
