Jihoon peeked through the clear glass, checking the empty room. He sighed, relieved. Slowly, he opened the window and jumped in. Quickly, he lifted the mattress on the bed and smirked as he saw what he wanted to see; few brown envelopes.

Unexpectedly, footsteps were heard from outside of the room. Jihoon placed the mattress slowly and quickly hided under the king size bed, trying to stay as quite as he could.

Jihoon could see the door of the room was opened carefully, revealing a pair of feet.

“I wonder when he will come home,” a woman voice spoke out her thought.

The door was slowly closing but was opened again. Jihoon was nervous and panic. He started to blame Kikwang, his cousin. He thought that guy will give everything to him, who thought he had to come and took them by himself.

The woman quickly walked in and closed the window. “I guess I forget about this,” she said as Jihoon watched she stepped out of the room and closed the door.

Jihoon sighed, relieved, still blaming his cousin.

‘I have to get out of here,’ he thought, quickly took all the enveloped under the mattress and jumped out through the window, slowly closing it before he disappeared from the house.

“You got them, hyung,” Kikwang asked through the line as he was standing at the corridor, enjoying the autumn breeze.

“Yeah, and I almost got caught. All thanks to you,” Jihoon replied sarcastically.

Kikwang chuckled. “Thanks hyung. Can you scan them and send the soft copy to me?” Kikwang asked politely, trying to cool him down.

“Yeah, sure. Everything for you, master,” Jihoon answered, rolling his eyes.

“Come on, hyung. You know I can’t go home now especially when Suzy needs me,” Kikwang pleaded.

“I know. Anyway, did you need the data in the thumbdrive?” Jihoon asked, kindly this time.

“Yup, I need those too,” Kikwang replied, with his silent smile.

“Alright then. I have to go. My boss starts to search for me. Bye,” Jihoon quickly hang up.

Kikwang smiled, relieved that 80% of his plan had done.

“Oppa,” the voice called him, making he smiled even more. He turned to the owner of the voice, taking her hand.

“Let’s eat. I make your favourite breakfast,” the girl told him with a smile; a smile which he will always loved.

Eun Hee was watching her daughter walked away with Yoseob and Jiyong. They were sending Jiyong to the kindergarten and would go straight to their musical practice. She sighed, remembering what had happened that morning.

“Omma, don’t worry. I won’t be the weak Jieun anymore. I promise. So, please let me join the musical,” Jieun, her only daughter kneed in front of her, saying those promising words.

Her eyes looked so determined and confident yet hidden the nervousness and fear.

Eun Hee turned to her husband, wanting an answer although she could expect his reply. So In was smiling, nodding his head, a sign of asking her to approve their daughter decision.

She turned back to Jieun who was waiting for her answer. She smiled and nodded her head, making Jieun cried out of happiness.

So In held his wife hand softly, making her awaked from her deep thought. “Don’t worry,” he assured and smiled. Eun Hee replied his smile.

“I need to tell you something but promise me that you won’t be mad,” So In spoke.

“What is it about?” Eun Hee asked, curious.

“Let’s talk at the living room,” So In invited with his smile.

Eun Hee closed the door and followed her husband wheelchair to the living room. She sat at one of the sofas and looked at his husband with her curious eyes.

“Remember when the night Jieun said she slept at Suzy’s house recently,” So In asked carefully.

Eun Hee looked up, trying to remember. “Yeah,” she said when she slightly remembered that day.

“Suzy’s parents were killed that night and no one else in the house except for them,” So In explained.

“What do you mean?” Eun Hee asked, anxious although she had slightly understood what So In wanted to say.

“Jieun was not at Suzy’s house at that night,” So In continued, starting to hold Eun Hee hand softly, trying to calm her down.

“Do you mean she lied… to us?” Eun Hee was furious.

“Honey, I’m sure she didn’t do anything bad. She must have her reasons,” So In tried to calm her with his logic.

“But people were killed,” Eun Hee replied as the tears of anger and sadness filled her eyes.

“Be patient, dear. Give her some time. I’m sure she will explain everything to us someday,” So In calmly spoke. He couldn’t loss his control too. He was the head of the family after all.

“I afraid it will be too late at that time,” Eun Hee took her hand and wiped her tears.

So In shook his head. “No, it will not. If she takes a long time to tell us, then we will investigate her ourselves,”

Eun Hee frowned. “Don’t you trust her?”

“I do, dear. But sometimes, there are things the child thinks that their parents do not need to know while actually we need to know,” So In explained calmly.

Eun Hee sighed, sobbing as she placed her head on So In lap as So In slowly brushed her hair.

“Don’t worry, I’m sure she have a very good reason,” So In whispered as if he was trying to assure himself.
