The script writer, the choreographer, the composer and others that related to the musical came into the meeting room that morning. The room had a dark brown wooden table with dark office chairs around it. At the end of the room, there was a large whiteboard. The room was completed with LCD projectors, speakers and microphone. Everything for a meeting or conference was provided.

Every seat had been filled except for a seat in front of the whiteboard, the seat for the dean of broadcasting faculty. Almost every person in that room was smiling and talking to each other while waiting for the important person. In a sudden, the noise was killed as they looked at the middle-age woman entered the room with her personal assistant.

“Anyeong,” she greeted the members of the musical gracefully with a bow as she was sitting on the comfort office chair. Her personal assistant, Mr. Han Chi Soo was standing beside her, giving her a file of documents.

Miss Im Tae Hee opened the file and flipped through the papers and she started the meeting. As the meeting was running, she was looking at this one particular person, the director of the musical, Mr. Kwon Byung Soon.

“I have decided that the name will be ‘Love me, please...’” he explained to the members in the meeting room. Most of them just nodded their head, agreeing.

“I think we need to change the story because it is too personal, don’t you think, Mr. Kwon?” Tae Hee suddenly spoke out with a wicked grin.

“I never thought it as personal story. I admit it is related to my past but it is still a different story with the same plot,” Byung Soon explained calmly while others were nodding.

“I agree with him plus I think it is a good plot,” Miss Chang Ha Neul as the scriptwriter added to support Byung Soon.

Tae Hee was silent. She wanted to reply but she felt that in the end everyone would agree with the director, not because they liked the story but because they didn’t want to redo their task which was almost finished.

“I guess we will continue with the story. So, how is the choreography Miss Cha Joo Eun?” Tae Hee changed the topic as she wanted to stop to discuss on the matters although she was the one that started it.

“Almost done. Only act 5 and 6 are still in progress. Others are done,” Joo Eun replied with a smile, satisfied with her performance.

Tae Hee nodded and after few minutes, the meeting ended. She wanted to meet Byung Soon but he walked out of the room first and it made she felt frustrated. Byung Soon was a busy director. He was a famous director in Korea musical world. There was a rumour that he was invited to the Broadway more that ten times but he never accepted it. Tae Hee knew why he did that. It was because of that woman. A woman that was always ruining her life and stealing everything from her, her love, her life, her chance and everything that important to her.

She stayed at the room until everyone was out as she was deep in her thought. Chi Soo light tap on her shoulder knocked her out from her thoughts.

“The press request to be here for the audition,” Chi Soo announced the news calmly. As the personal assistant of Tae Hee for more than two years, he knew how panic she would become but it was just for a moment.

“What? They never want to come even when we invite, what make they want to come now?” Tae Hee asked, shocked and annoyed. Press could spread bad rumours if they made a wrong step.

“I guess it is because of that girl,” Chi Soo replied calmly. He could guess what would be out of his superior irritating mouth after this.

Tae Hee was surprised. ‘That girl’ was a term that could boil her up until she felt like kicking and punching people on their face. The media wanted to come just because of that lack of talent girl. Tae Hee half smirked.

“Let them come. Oh, have you told the judges to choose Suzy?” Tae Hee asked calmly. There was no reason for her to be panic. That girl was never being exposed to the entertainment world before and how much could she improve in a few weeks compare to students who had practice for years.

That surprise Chi Soo as she was not shouting and screaming. However, Chi Soo took that as a good change although he couldn’t really read what actually behind her mind.

You will be humiliated by your girl. Tae Hee thought while grinning evilly.

That day, IU was not coming to the practice and she had texted Yoseob about it. Today was her father birthday and she had decided to buy some cakes and cooked for dinner. So, she directly walked to the shops after the class ended.

The autumn wind had become colder. Luckily, she was wearing a dark brown coat above her dress. She strolled slowly along the way as she wanted to enjoy the autumn scenery where the brown yellowish leaves fell to the ground following the pace of the wind. IU smiled. Everything seemed smooth lately although she was worried about the audition. However, her mom assured her that she would satisfy with the result even if she won’t get to continue to the musical. She knew IU had worked hard.

Yoseob was encouraging her too. IU smiled slightly when she remembered how Yoseob laid on her lap yesterday. She woke him up later when she noticed that it was almost 9 o’clock and he thanked her for that.

‘Tsk, tsk’

The soft sobbing sound woke IU from her thought. She searched for the source of the sound and found a little boy crying at a playground. He was wearing a small bag pack. IU looked at her watch. It was 4 o’clock in the evening. Kindergarten should have finished an hour ago. IU thought while her eyes glued on that little guy. He was sitting at the bench, crying alone. IU felt touched and pitied as she walked closer to the boy. However, she was not sure what should she do to comfort the boy. She sat beside the boy gracefully and she kept her eyes on him.

“Anyeong,” she greeted softly to make the boy notice her presence.

The small head quickly looked at IU with his widened teary eyes. He was scared and shocked but he didn’t run away. IU cocked her head to the side as she noticed the familiar feature in that boy face. That eyes, nose, and cheeks were a bit similar to someone but she couldn’t figure out who was that person. IU ignored the fact as the boy was still looking at her with that frightened eyes and frozen on his seat. It was an advantage to IU. IU smiled and tried to pat the boy’s hair but he avoid it.

“Don’t be scared. Noona just want to help you,” IU explained kindly and she took back her hand. She didn’t want the boy to run away. It might be dangerous for the boy.

That boy looked at IU curiously. It seemed like he understood her words. IU just smiled as she still didn’t know how to help that boy. To help him, she might need some information. So, she asked. “What is your name?”

The boy kept silent, turned his head away but not crying anymore. However, there were still some little sobs.

IU felt slightly rejected. That boy might not trust her yet. What should she do to earn his trust? Should she buy something for him? But it will be too dangerous to walk him away from this playground. His parents might search for him later. IU suddenly remembered that she had bought candy before for boring class. She always ate candy to avoid sleeping in class and it worked. IU looked through her bag and found few candies.

“Here,” IU placed the candies on her palm and showed to the little boy.

The boy looked at the candies then looked and IU. He paused, most probably scanning IU. He hesitantly took one candy from IU palm. However, he kept the candy instead of directly ate it. IU sighed. It was hard to earn a trust from a little child. She never expected how hard a child trusted others. Maybe his parents always advised him not to talk to strangers.

IU opened the plastic that covered one of the candies and ate it. “It’s yummy. Why don’t you try?” IU tried to influence the child.

The boy looked at IU again, puzzled but then he smiled. He took the candy in his pocket but he didn’t know how to tear the plastic cover. IU chuckled looking at how the small cute hand trying to uncover the candy.

“Let me help,” IU offered, smiling.

The little boy gave his candy to IU as he couldn’t get the candy. IU smiled as the boy started to show that he trusted her. He trusted his candy to IU and it was a good start. IU helped him and handed him his candy. He instantly gobbled in into his mouth and he chewed the hard candy instead of let it melted on his tongue instead. Was he hungry?

He finished the candy in no time. He looked at IU again. His eyes showed that he wanted more so IU uncovered another candy and gave to him. He gobbled it again.

“Eat slowly, boy,” IU advised kindly.

Before the boy could respond, he felt something stuck in his throat. In a moment, it started to hurt. Then, he started to feel difficult to breathe in. He cried because of the pain and scared.

IU saw the situation of the boy and noticed he was choking. IU started to panic and she didn’t dare to pat his back nor did abdominal .

The boy started to cough interval with his cries. It continued for a moment until he coughed out a piece of the candy to the ground. The boy started to cry.

IU sighed, relieved. It meant that the choking condition had passed. IU smiled and pat the boy’s back. The crying child was not affected by the touch. Somehow, IU felt that the boy had trusted her. She took the little boy, held her as he placed his head on IU shoulder. IU tapped his back gently. However, the cry became worse which startled IU a bit. What people usually do to comfort a crying child? When she was crying before, IU started to remember the last time she cried was at the library. She cried until she fell asleep. Before that, she was crying in the forest and Yoseob sang for her. IU smiled. Maybe she could sooth the boy with a song but what song. ‘Mother’ didn’t seem suitable for this situation. Then, IU remembered that Yoseob sang a song when she was sick at the camp. IU smiled. Luckily she remembered that song. She searched for the song right after the camp and placed it in her iPad.

“I’m gonna make you me,” IU started singing.

The little boy started to stop crying. Only his small sobs heard.

The song finished and IU smiled, satisfied when the boy just kept silent. No more crying and sobbing.

“Appa,” The boy suddenly called out. IU surprised with the high pitch shout as that was the first time she heard the boy voice. IU quickly turned to see the person that this little boy was calling.
