FULL CIRCLE
In The Middle"Sajangnim, Mr. Eun is requesting for a quick appointment with you before your meeting with KJ Holdings."
Hayi announced as soon as Jiyong arrived the Enterprise.
"Did he say what this is about?" He asked as he settled behind his desk.
"He just mentioned that it's urgent." She clicked on her pen, obviously nervous.
"I really want to get over the KJ Holdings meeting fast. Can't we just meet later after lunch? I'll make time for him." He told his secretary while his attention was quickly directed to the pile of documents for signature.
"I'll ask him again, sir." She then turned to leave.
It took another ten minutes for Hayi to return to his office.
"It's urgent, sajangnim. We have a new stock bidder." She said with a smile on her face. Of course she knows how hard Jiyong fought against taking Jaejoong's offer.
Jiyong dropped the documents he was checking. "I'll meet him at the conference room in five."
His heart beats frantically against his chest. Even as a last resort, he wouldn't give up easily on Jaejoong.
He entered the room with Hayi. Eun Jiwon is already seated with his assistant, Jaeduck, handing over documents to Hayi.
"Who's the bidder?" Jiyong asked even before he sat down.
"It's a startup company, sajangnim. It's a long shot, but you should consider this. You know I wouldn't bother you this early if this isn't important." Jiwon eyed him.
"ICC? I haven't heard about them. Is this company legitimate?" He asked back, checking the files handed by Hayi.
"Inner Circle Company. They just got their business permit the other day. They are into the food business, much like the Kang's Kitchen Food Group. They have one restaurant under them, but their financial credit checks out. Plus, their business venture proposal for the next three years is impressive." His CFO explained with a certain glint in his eye.
"Who's the company CEO?" Jiyong stopped checking the papers as Jiwon's fascination over the new bidder caught him.
"The company is owned by four individuals, shared investments. Three of them have prominent connections in the society - Kang, Kim, Song."
He paused to catch Jiyong's reaction, who suddenly froze on his seat, especially after hearing the last name.
"And the CEO is Lee Seunghoon." Jiwon continued.
Jiyong grabbed the documents and checked each page thoroughly.
His chest tightened even more at the thought of his brother. Once again, without questions and beyond his anger, he came and helped save the day.
Uncle Yang and his parents have all been right all along.
"When did they start this?" He asked Jiwon.
"Three months ago. They got help from Atty. Na to fast track their business permit." He supplied.
It all made sense. Mino's trust fund, Atty. Na and the withdrawal of their bistro. Relief changed to guilt as he recalls all the things that happened the past few months.
"This is it, sajangnim." Jiwon voiced out.
"Hayi, get CEO Lee on the line." It's time to do things right.
"Actually, they're all at Mino's office right now." Jiwon told him.
---------
"Hyung, don't touch that!" Mino called out Seunghoon who keeps on poking the artwork on his wall.
"I'm nervous." Jinwoo said from the couch, tapping his feet.
"I'm hungry." Seungyoon went straight to the Enterprise after his shift at the hospital.
"I'm constipated." Seunghoon sat beside Junhoe who tried to hide his laugh.
