A month has passed since Jisoo and Jennie have been married. Their companies have both been successfully joined together and is known as Dream K Corporations, which is now the most biggest and powerful corporation in all of Korea. 

Although the companies were joined together, both Jisoo and Jennie stayed in their own respective buildings of what was previously known as the buildings of Dream and Kim Corporations.

Both are the co-CEOs of Dream K, and have equal shares in the company. All together, it was considered the biggest event to happen in the business industry in years. 

As for Rosé, she was promoted as the Vice President of Dream K due to her accomplishments on the resort, which is now known across the world as 'Dream Palace Resorts.'

The resort was a success, pulling in more customers and tourists as time passes by. 

Jisoo and Jennie's relationship though, remains the same. They're rarely ever at home together, much less speak with each other unless if it was about business. Jennie continues to give Jisoo the cold shoulder despite the older girl's effort in trying rekindle their relationship.

Jisoo knew that the reason was because Jennie was still seeing Hanbin. Though it is was on friendly terms and not romantically, Jisoo couldn't help but feel jealous.

Jisoo knew that she had no right to be jealous, she had signed and agreed to the terms of their marriage contract. But every single time when she sees Jennie heading out to meet up with Hanbin, she couldn't help but feel the blood boil at the pit of her stomach.

She was afraid that one day, Jennie would realize that she was still in love with Hanbin and run away with him. Away from her. 

But Jisoo always pushes those thoughts away, thinking that she was just worrying too much. She knew that despite everything, Jennie wouldn't be the kind of person who would cheat on her with someone else, even if their marriage was arranged. 

She knew that Jennie wasn't the kind of person who would disobey her parents like that, even if it was at the cost of her own happiness. It was one of the reasons why Jisoo had fallen for the younger girl. 

Taking a look at herself in the mirror, Jisoo smiles at the sight of her reflection. Today she had made plans with Chaeyoung and Lisa to go to the amusement park. She was happy because Jennie was also coming along, which means that it would be the first time that the 4 of them will be hanging out together. It would also be the first time that Jisoo and Jennie would be hanging out with each other since their marriage.

After finishing up, Jisoo heads over towards Jennie's room and knocks on her door.

Jisoo: Jennie-ah, it's time to go.

A few seconds after, the door to Jennie's room swung open. Jennie stares at Jisoo's face emotionlessly, causing the latter to squirm in her spot. Before Jisoo could utter a single word, Jennie had already shut the door and started making her way downstairs.

As the 4 girls made their way through the amusement park, Jennie couldn't help but keep wondering what she was doing here. Or why she had even agreed to come along. 

Glancing to her left, she spotted Lisa being all lovey dovey with Rosé, as they whispered sweet words into each other's ears, giggling together like an old married couple. Walking alongside  her right was Jisoo, who felt awkward and oddly out of place. 

She thought that this would be a great idea at first. Being able to spend time with Jennie and her 2 best friends. Of course, Chaeyoung had disagreed at first, being worried about Jisoo's heart condition. But somehow once again, the older girl had managed to convince her otherwise. 

Jisoo kicked at the ground as she walked, occasionally stealing glances at Jennie. When she had looked over at Jennie for probably the 100th time that night, Jisoo could feel the smile that was slowly tugging at the corners of her lips. 

Jennie: Why are you smiling?

Jisoo turns again at the sound of Jennie's voice. She looked around, making sure that the latter was talking to her.

Jisoo: A-are you talking to me?

Jennie rolled her eyes. 

Jennie: Of course I'm talking to you. Who else would I be talking to?

Jisoo: Oh... oh, okay. 

Jisoo looks back down towards the ground, silently cursing at herself for sounding so dumb. 

Jennie: So? You haven't answered my question.

Jisoo quickly looks up. 

Jisoo: Oh.. um. What was the question again?

Jennie rolled her eyes once more before heaving a sigh.

Jennie: Why were you smiling just now?

Jisoo was caught off guard. What was she supposed to say? She couldn't exactly tell Jennie that she had been stealing glances at her all night long, that would be weird. 

Jisoo clears , trying to relieve herself from the awkward tension. 

Jisoo: Um, I wasn't. I wasn't really smiling. 

Jennie scoffed. 

Jennie: Then why did I see the corners of your lips pulling upwards just a few minutes ago?

Jisoo shrugged.

Jisoo: You know. My mouth was itchy.

Jennie raises her left eyebrow questioningly, giving Jisoo the 'Is that the best thing you could come up with?' look.

Jennie: Your mouth was itchy? Are you serious?

Jisoo shrugs again.

Jisoo: My mouth just itches sometimes.

Jennie stares at Jisoo a while longer before breaking into a smile. She glances towards Jisoo's confused face and couldn't help but letting out a soft giggle. 

Jisoo smiled at the sight of seeing Jennie not only smile, but laugh for the first time since their marriage.

Jisoo: You know, this is the first time I've seen you like this since we got married.

Jennie: Like what?

Jisoo looks down at her shoes before whispering out a response.

Jisoo: Happy. 

Jennie let out a deep sigh. 

Jennie: Jisoo...

Jennie was interrupted by the high pitch sound of Lisa's voice who was already in line for one of the rides with Rosé.

Lisa: Jennie unnie! Over here!

The younger girl waved towards them as they made their way over.

Jennie: What do you want Lisa?

Lisa gave Jennie a devilish smirk and pointed towards the ride.

Lisa: Let's go on this ride together. You too Jisoo unnie. It'll be fun.

Chaeyoung: No way, Jisoo unnie is afraid of heights, she can't go.

Jisoo gave her an apologizing look.

Jisoo: Sorry Lili. 

Lisa smiled.

Lisa: It's fine Unnie. But what about you Jennie Unnie? 

Jennie shook her head fearfully.

Jennie: I have motion sickness Lalisa. You know I can't do it.

Lisa let out an exasperated sigh.

Lisa: Unnie come on. You can't come to the amusement park without going on any rides.

Jennie: I'm scared, I don't want to get sick and dizzy after this.

Lisa: But Unnie, you're gonna miss all the fun.

Jisoo looked up towards the ride. 'That is a little too high for my liking.' She glances over at Jennie. She could tell that the latter wanted to go, but because of her motion sickness, she was unable to. 

Taking in a deep breath, she plastered a smile on her face.

Jisoo: How about if I go with you Jen?

The 3 girls shifted their attention towards Jisoo.

Jennie: But... y-your phobia.

Chaeyoung: Absolutely not! Unnie are you crazy?!

Jisoo: It's fine Chaeyoung-ah, it's only one ride.

Chaeyoung: Unnie.

Jisoo: Trust me. 

Chaeyoung glared at the older, but kept shut. Lisa placed her arm around her shoulders to try and calm her down. 

Jennie glanced cluelessly between Chaeyoung and Jisoo, wondering why the younger girl was always fussing over the older. It made her feel a little uneasy, though she didn't know the reason behind it.

Jennie: Are you sure about this Jisoo? You've never been fond of heights before. 

Jisoo gave her smile, trying to seem confident.

Jisoo: It'll be fine. It's not even that high.

Chaeyoung scoffed, but it was went unnoticed by Jisoo. Jennie still had a look of hesitation as she gazed up at the ride once again.

Jisoo nudges her in encouragement.

Jisoo: Come on Jen. We came here to have fun, live a little.

Jennie: A-Alright. I'll do it.

Jisoo smiled brightly upon her answer.

Chaeyoung was still fuming in anger but was led away by Lisa to their seats as the ride came to a stop.

Jisoo nodded her head towards the ride and held her hand out to Jennie. The younger hesitantly took her hand and allowed Jisoo to guide her to their seats.

After being seated and securing their seatbelts, Jisoo turns to Jennie and noticed that their hands were still intertwined.

Jisoo: If you start to feel sick or scared just hold on to me okay? I'll be here next to you the whole time.

Jennie nodded, still grasping on tightly to Jisoo's hand, causing the older girl to smile.

A few moments later, the ride started to move and Jennie leans closer towards Jisoo. 

Although Jisoo tried to be strong for Jennie, she could still feel her heart start to race as the ride began to move higher up. 

As they neared the top, Jisoo started sweating, and her heart felt like it was beating out of her chest. 

Chaeyoung glances over at Jisoo worriedly, scared that her heart  would act up again. She knew that the next few months would be critical for the older girl.

Chaeyoung: Unnie, how are you feeling?

At Chaeyoung's question, the 3 other girls swerved their heads to face her.

Jisoo forced a brave smile on her face, trying to assure her friend.

Jisoo: I feel fine Chaeng. You don't have to worry.

Chaeyoung nodded unconvincingly, and leaned back in her seat. Lisa took ahold of her hand, and gave her  an assuring smile. Chaeyoung squeezes her hand in gratitude and tried to take her mind off of Jisoo. 

The older girl can take care of herself, and she would definitely tell Chaeyoung if something was wrong. She's just being overprotective.

Jennie looks over to her right where Jisoo sat, forehead drenched in sweat. She nudged the older girl and Jisoo turns to face her.

Jennie: Are you sure you're okay? You're looking a little pale right now.

Jisoo: Y-yeah. Just a little nervous is all. 

Jennie nodded and gave Jisoo's hand a gentle squeeze. Despite everything, she was grateful that Jisoo had did this for her.

She could clearly remember how scared of heights the older girl was, but yet, Jisoo had decided to go on the ride for Jennie's sake.

To be honest, she hasn't even felt nauseous yet. It's always been like this whenever she was with Jisoo. The older girl's presence has always had a calming effect on her.

She was always able to get through anything as long as Jisoo was by her side. For the first time since their marriage, Jennie allows herself to soften up to Jisoo.

She clasps their hands together, assuring the older that Jennie was there for her. 

Jennie: It's okay Jisoo, I got you.

Before Jisoo could reply, the ride plummeted down.

Jisoo rushed inside the restroom and locked herself inside a stall.

She sat herself down in the toilet seat while trying to calm down her breathing. Her heart was hammering against her chest, and was throbbing uncontrollably. 

Jisoo took out the pills from her bag and fumbled around with the cap before finally getting it to open.

Pouring out 2 pills, she quickly put it in and gulped it down. 

She leaned against the dirty toilet seat and let her eyes close for a few short seconds. Although, her heart was still throbbing, Jisoo was glad that it was at least a little more manageable than it had been a few minutes ago. 

Suddenly the door to the restroom opened, revealing a frantic and panicked Chaeyoung.  

Chaeyoung: Unnie, are you okay? Please tell me you're okay! Gosh I shouldn't have let you go on that dumb ride!

Not wanting to hear the younger girl blame herself any longer, Jisoo opened the door to her stall and walked out.

Jisoo: I'm fine Chae, I just needed to use the restroom. 

Chaeyoung took a glance at Jisoo, and noticed how pale her face looked. Tears started to pool in eyes due to the guilt she felt towards her best friend.

Chaeyoung: Don't lie to me unnie. Your face looks as pale as a ghost right now. Are you feeling okay?

Jisoo shook her head.

Jisoo: I really am fine Chaeng. No pain at all. 

The younger girl eyes her skeptically. 

Chaeyoung: Promise?

Jisoo nods. 

Jisoo: I'm all pain free.

At her answer, Chaeyoung releases a breath that she didn't know that she had been holding. 

Chaeyoung: That's good then. I was so worried.

Jisoo smiled and walks over to the sink to wash her hands. She had noticed a slight stumble in her steps due to her dizziness, but it had thankfully went unnoticed by Chaeyoung. Wiping her hands clean, Jisoo turns back around to face the younger who had patiently waited for her.

Jisoo: Come on, we should head out.

Chaeyoung: Remember to let me know right away if anything feels wrong, okay?

Holding back a grunt of pain, Jisoo nodded.

Jisoo: I will.

Chaeyoung: Alright then. That makes me feel a little bit more reassured.

The 2 girls walked out of the restroom to find Lisa and Jennie waiting for them by the entrance.

Lisa: Finally, you guys took forever.

Jisoo laughed. 

Jisoo: Shut up Limario. It hasn't even been that long.

Lisa stuck out her tongue at the older girl.

Lisa: Whatever. If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna take my girlfriend to go get some food.

Before Chaeyoung could respond, Lisa had already started to lead her away. Chaeyoung turned around and waves to the 2 older girls.

Chaeyoung: We'll come find you guys once we're done!

Jisoo: You better take care of my chipmunk Limario!

And with that the 2 were already out of sight. Jisoo smiles endearingly at the 2  before turning back to look at Jennie, who she noticed had been was staring at her.

Jisoo: You good?

Jennie looks up into Jisoo's eyes, and Jisoo saw a flash of worry reflected in the younger's eyes.

Jennie: Are you okay? You still look kind of pale.

Jisoo smiles at her reassuringly.

Jisoo: Don't worry about me Jennie-ah. I'm fine.

Jennie nods slowly before averting her eyes towards the ground. Jisoo clears in order to get the younger's attention back on her. 

Jisoo: Since we're here, let's not waste the night away. You want go grab something to eat as well?

Jennie nodded.

Jennie: That sounds pretty good. 

Jisoo smiles and extended her hand out towards Jennie. She stares at it for while before slowly grabbing onto Jisoo's hand.

She didn't know why, but for that moment in time, Jennie didn't want to think about what had happened in their past. All she wanted to do was forget about everything and just live in that current moment. 

So for that night, Jennie let all the hatred she felt for Jisoo wash away, as she allowed the older girl to lead her away into the crowd.
