Xero

I forgot today was the day Sojin's parents and mine were supposed to meet. Or at least so I thought. I headed downstairs, but stopped at the sight of her parents and ran back up to the railing so I was out of sight. It was only her my mom, and mine talking. I eavesdropped in on their conversation.

"I'm worried our kids are having ..." Sojin's mom said. "Unprotected ."
My mom gasped. "What makes you think such a thing?"
"I found condoms on my desk earlier today."

My eyes widened and I ran back into my room, shutting the door behind me remembering that it was me who left them there. I texted Sojin.

A few minutes later I heard them laughing, so I walked out of my room back to the railing. My mom led her out the door, happily saying good bye to each other.
She then called my name.

I gulped.

"Yeah?" I asked as she sat me on the couch.
She shook her head at me. "Are Sojin and you having ?"
My eyes avoided her, giving away the answer.
She sighed. "Xero... You know what... That's it. You're not to see her for... At least a week. I don't know. Maybe a month. I am tired of you being so irresponsible lately!"
"But umma!"
"No! I've been too leniant with you lately! First its all the drama with you breaking your phone, then you get ticketed in Busan for hitting somebody, I find out you're drinking, and you get kidney failure." She paused for a moment, just looking at me. "You never used to act up like this. Not when you were only with your friends Jenissi, A-Tom, and Hansol." She stood up, and grabbed her phone, handing it to me. "You know what, call them over right now. I want to talk to them to find exactly what's going on with you."
I rolled my eyes and called Jenissi over, even though she asked for all of them.
