It was my first day at Seaside: I walked through the entrance doors with my first period's books cradled in my arms, searching along the hallways with a blank expression. I didn't feel like being the new kid today. I was already exhausted from having to say goodbye to my old friends, and overworking my best attitude to Seaside's office ladies. Couldn't they at least given me a day's break in between?

I found my locker down the next hall, tuning out the chatter that violated my ears and quickly set a few extras I carried at the top shelf. I wasn't going to take the risk of rushing to this thing in between classes until I was familiar with the timing.
A girl and her friend casually arrived to the locker right next to mine just as I was about to leave. I figured I was in no position to pass up friends, so I gave a kind greeting to the two. "Hi, I'm Uji-" My eyes widen with much surprise after recognizing the same face from my childhood, before she had moved away. "Sojin..?! Oh my gosh, is that you?! Do you remember me?"

I gently closed my locker shut, turning to an anxious gym teacher trying to shake off the kid behind him.
"Hey, he switched to first period Gym. I need you to show him the morning routines, and don't mind introducing him to the others either."
I sighed as my teacher hurried passed me, presenting me with the student I was to take care of.
