I was a bit shocked that Sojin didn't remember me, but it had been so long since we last saw each other, I couldn't blame her. What made things even more awkward, was that my next class was with the two of them. Her friend Namjoo talked to me about some party but Sojin seemed so distant. She didn't even bother to join in, and I wondered why. Wouldn't you want to try and get to know someone you once knew, even if you didn't remember them?
Class was over and I leaned against the hallway's dirty wall—which I normally never dared to do—to motivate myself to get through the day. A random ert came up on me, sweet talking.
"Hey good lookin', you goin' to the party tonight?"
"Ew, no thanks." I rolled my eyes with a swift of the hand in his face, walking away.
Wait.
Was I in a position to pass up a party? I was in desperate need of friends.
I walked up to a taller boy with short white hair and gave him my cheesiest, most girliest act.
"Excuse me, I'm new and heard about a party. I was wondering if you are going?"
The boy chuckled. "Yeah there's a rumor about a party. Still undecided."
"Oh," I looked down. "well thanks anyways sweetheart!" I pinched his cheek and continued passing through the hallway, searching for my next class.
