Wedding crasher Part 1

180° GIRL

“WAARRRGGHHHHH!!!” Jimin flinched upon seeing Chorim enter through the front door and clumsily smacked his hand against the table. She was in a long night dress with her wet hair up in a towel and had a green beauty face mask pasted on. Chorim looked at him judgmentally as she walked past and laid down on the couch and the TV for background noise.
“Can you not wander around like that? I nearly sh*t myself.” Jimin grumpily returned to playing his game.
“Such a drama queen Jimin.” Chorim laughed and started browsing her phone. Taehyung walked out of his bedroom and was also startled by the sight of Chorim sprawled out on the couch. He cursed under his breath and then continued into the kitchen.
“I’d appreciate it if you did your beauty stuff in the comfort of your own home.” Taehyung cried out as he the kettle. Chorim really was too comfortable around the two of them. IT had gotten to the point where she didn’t wax her legs on days she wasn’t going out and freely plucked her eyebrows and did her nails on Taehyung’s couch whilst hanging out with them, things she would absolutely never do around other people.
“Guys, chill out. It’s just a beauty mask to make sure my skin is radiant tomorrow.”
“What’s tomorrow?” Taehyung asked her.
“The wedding! After so bloody long, it's finally around the corner.” Chorim wiggled her body in excitement. Both Taehyung and Jimin were very familiar with which wedding this was because Chorim had kept talking about it during the last few days.
“Why are you even here? Isn’t your place suitable for someone to live in now?” Jimin joked but regretted it immediately once Chorim pulled his ear until he cried for forgiveness. It was true. Thanks to Hoseok, her place was absolutely spotless. It did look brand new. However the good work was quickly undone within the next couple of days. Old habits never die. Fortunately, Hoseok was on such friendly terms with everyone that he stopped by once in a while which meant the mess would never get too out of hand.
“I don’t know, I’m so used to being over here at Taehyung’s.” Chorim continued scrolling through her feed.
“Maybe you should just move in.”
“What’d you say?” Chorim jabbed Jimin on the side with her hand.
“Kidding, kidding.” Jimin chuckled.
They were all comfortably hanging out in silence (well, minus the sound of Jimin’s aggressive mouse clicking) for a few minutes when Chorim suddenly started whacking Jimin’s shoulder from behind.
“JIMIN JIMIN JIMIN!!!” She yelled out.
“Stop it woman. What is it?”
“ARMY X! It’s turning into a game! A friggen game!!!” Chorim squealed with delight and then returned to reading the article on her phone in detail. She then hugged her phone and kicked her legs in excitement.
“Man, the writer is too ing good, don’t you think? Like literally all of her webtoons have been taken up for adaptations. And now a game!” Chorim sighed out loud, “Man, I’d love to meet her one day.” Jimin randomly started laughing whilst Taehyung continued to quietly prepare food in the kitchen.
“Why are you laughing?” Chorim asked him.
“Nothing,” Jimin turned his head around with a knowing grin on his face, “I hope you meet her soon too.”

As he was busy slaving away at his desk, Taehyung ignored the sound of the front door opening because it was such a common occurrence. What was not a common occurrence however was Chorim suddenly shoving her into Taehyung’s face. Startled, Taehyung swerved away from her in his swivel chair and bumped into the wall.
“Help me please.” Chorim pointed to a zipper on the back of her dress which seemed to be stuck near bottom. Taehyung looked at her, baffled by how comfortable she was with him, and then reluctantly helped her with the zipper, trying his best not to pay attention to how delicately smooth her skin was.
“Ah, thank you!” Chorim exclaimed. She then took a step back and did a little twirl for him. Her makeup was impeccable, giving her face a radiant glow, and her hair was in a cute intricate updo decorated with jewellery.
“Guess who sent me this dress?” Chorim cupped her cheeks with her hands and couldn’t contain her joy. She was wearing a very fitting but glamorous lace long-sleeved dress. It was delivered to her a few days before by one of Jin’s people in a huge black box with a white ribbon and a red rose inside. Needless to say, Chorim was ecstatic upon receiving it and could not stop trying it on and posing in front of her mirror that night. Taehyung gulped as he silently admired how beautiful Chorim was in her dress. Of course, his blank face said otherwise.

“How do I look? Good right?” She cackled, ruining the illusion by placing her hands on her hips with an ugly smug expression.
“You look…” beautiful “not homeless.” Taehyung said bluntly with a straight face. Chorim wasn’t expecting anything nice from him but she ended up getting annoyed anyway.
“Oh gee, thanks.” She said bitterly.
“It’s cold outside.” Taehyung swung around on his chair and resumed typing.
“Ohoho, Kim Taehyung is actually really considerate?” Chorim grinned goofily, “I should be fine. I can’t be bothered carrying a coat with me all night.” Chorim casually leaned over to look at the time on Taehyung’s laptop and was so close that he could smell her flowery perfume.“Hrm, I should get going, I can’t keep Jin waiting.” She jokingly flicked Taehyung’s cheek and then rushed over to the door with the sound of her heels clicking against the floor.
“Alright, I’m out. Don’t miss me too much!” She yelled before leaving and slamming the door behind her. Taehyung’s typing slowed down until they stopped completely and he rested his fingers against the keyboard.

Just down the street, Chorim spotted Jin  leaning against the door of a black limousine and blowing into his hands to keep them warm. Even from far away, Chorim could see how handsome he was in his well-fitted black tuxedo and perfectly styled chocolate brown hair. Chorim could almost not believe that thee Kim Seokjin was actually waiting for her and she could already feel the butterflies in her stomach as she approached him. Everything seemed too perfect that she was afraid her dream was going to end soon.
“Jin!” She called out and delicately waved to him. Jin was in awe as soon as he saw Chorim walking towards him in her blue flowing dress. Even when she was standing right in front of him, Jin couldn’t seem to find the right words to express how he was feeling.

“You look absolutely gorgeous.” A bright smile lit up his whole face and it was so sincere that Chorim couldn’t help but shyly blush at his comment.
“Stop it, I’m nervous enough already,” She giggled and then flirtatiously slid her hand down the collar of his suit jacket and whispered, “You don’t look so bad yourself.”

~

“Young master, we’re here.” The chauffeur announced when the car had come to a complete stop. Chorim had a hard time seeing what was going on outside through the tinted windows and was so nervous and impatient that she tried to open the door on her side herself but was promptly stopped by Jin.
“This way.” His kind smile calmed her down and he held onto her hand as he led her through the door on his side. Chorim followed behind him and as soon as she stepped out, she was bombarded by camera flashes and even had to hold up her hand to cover her eyes. Holy mother of ing... Chorim froze up at the sight of the red carpet laid out in front of her and the literal hoard of cameras watching her every move from the side. She felt a nudge on her side and looked to see Jin holding out his arm, waiting for hers. Once they linked arms, Jin led the way down the carpet as Chorim nervously tried to hide beside him, away from the cameras. I thought this was a wedding, not the ing Seoul Oscars, what the . She could spot an array of top celebrities scattered across the red carpet posing for photos and chatting away to reporters. Just whose wedding is it…? Damn it, I was too excited about being invited I didn’t bother looking into it. Once they entered the main hall, Chorim saw the huge printed canvases of who was obviously the bride on display in the foyer.

Ah, it’s Bora… Bora was one of South Korea’s most famous supermodels who had graced the world’s fashion scene from an young age. She was well-loved by the public as well for being a bubbly and kind-hearted person and had recently been taking roles in famous dramas and movies. WAIT...BORA!? THAT MEANS… It took a while for Chorim to put two and two together but once she did, it hit her like a bulldozer. Chorim pulled Jin aside and sweetly laughed, “Oh, this is Dasom’s sister’s wedding.”
“It is. Didn’t I tell you?” Jin asked. No sir, you did not ing…
“It must have slipped my mind.” Chorim could physically feel her soul escaping her body. It was hard enough to keep up an image up without an obnoxious b*tch trying to tear you down. Well, as long as I lay low and don’t draw attention to myself...
“What is going on here!?” It was the screechy voice that Chorim dreaded the most. Chorim and Jin turned around to see Dasom practically stomping towards them and as if matters could not have possibly been any worse, it turns out Dasom was wearing the exact same dre`ss as Chorim but in red. The colour matched the shade of her face by the time she got to them and she looked at Chorim like she was trash.
“What on Earth are you doing here?” Dasom flared her nostrils up at Chorim in anger. Before Chorim could get a word in, Jin had already placed himself between the two girls and she figured remaining quiet was probably more favourable for her anyway.
“Dasom, I invited her.” He firmly stated without batting an eyelid. Dasom looked hurt by his comment and pursed her red lips at him.
“Why would you…Jin,” Dasom narrowed her eyes at him, “why would you invite her? To my family’s special day.” Without letting him say another word, she stared Chorim down with burning hatred and then dramatically stormed off like a brat. Namjoon, who clearly did not read the mood before entering the scene, surprised Chorim with a hug from behind. He obviously was not wearing your standard black suit (because that would be too boring for him) but was instead rocking a fine wine coloured suit and a black shirt with his silver hair slicked back.
“Chorim! You came!” He said with a huge smile on his face. He held Chorim out at arm’s length and looked at her dress, “Wow, this dress looks like it was made for you.” Jin subtly shook his head at him behind Chorim and then used his eyes to direct Namjoon to Dasom who was on the other side of the hall making a scene and trying not to cry because she didn’t want her makeup to be ruined.
“Oh,” Namjoon shifted his eyes to the side, “we can deal with that later. How have you been Chorim? You really don’t mind Jin kidnapping you and bringing you here with him to this boring event?”
“Kidnap her? I did no such thing.” Jin smiled at his friend’s ridiculous comment.

Chorim stayed by Jin and Namjoon’s side throughout the night and was determined not to slip up in any way. She did well for the first hour despite not knowing many of the people there. She knew who they were because there were many high profile public figures and celebrities attending but she tried to avoid making too much of an impression. Jin, being who he was, had quite a few people approach him to converse with. He greeted them so naturally and really lived up to his reputation as the perfect son and future heir of the KIM group. Feeling outrageously out of place, Chorim thought it was better for her to leave his side for a bit and went to the bathroom. I’ve had so much to drink but so little to eat… She had been going through glasses of champagne like no tomorrow because it was the only alternative to not eating. She didn’t want to risk getting even a little bloated because her dress was already so fitting and she had to look flawless. When she was washing her hands, she cautiously looked around even though there was no one else in the bathroom. Hah, I was so sure I would meet Dasom in the bathroom and have a total cat fight with her...I watch way too many dramas… She tried navigating herself through the hallways to get back to the main area but it turned out to be quite a challenge considering how huge the whole venue was. Surely enough, her sense of uneasiness was realised but not in the way she was expecting.

Chorim bumped into someone as she was turning around the corner and she was quick to apologise but her face scrunched up as soon as she realised it was the high school boy who mistook her for a homeless person from a while ago. Her eyes widened and she blurted out “YOU!” due to shock, only to regret it once she remembered where they were. She kept her composure, confident that she was so glamoured up to the point that there was no way the he would be able to recognise her.
“Woah!” The guy looked surprised for only a split second and then a teethy smile appeared on his face, “what are you doing here?” The guy said as he examined her from head to toe. Wait, what? Why does he…? “You look totally different!” The guy grinned widely at her with an innocent sparkle in his eyes. WAIT NO, DON’T TELL ME HE…
“You...recognise me?” Chorim asked him in a cynical manner, trying not to show that she was panicking inside.
“Yeah, of course. The girl with the cardboard b - “ Considering his tall height, Chorim had to extend her arm upwards in order to cover his mouth before he uttered another word. It was too unexpected that someone was able to see right through her transformation even though she was certain she looked drastically different. JUST HOW!?!? Noticing the confusion in his eyes, she lowered her hand and then leaned in, “Okay, I don’t know what sort of mutant powers you possess but I need you to pretend like we've never met before. Understood?”
He gulped and reluctantly nodded, “Understood…”
“What’s your name?”
“Mingyu.”
Chorim stared him down to make sure he wasn’t lying and then nodded and patted his collar in a threatening manner, “Alright Mingyu. I better not - ”
Namjoon practically jumped on Mingyu out of no where and put him in a headlock before Chorim could even finish her sentence.
“There you are, you rascal!” Namjoon exclaimed. Chorim immediately changed her posture and put on her sweet demeanour to hide any signs of anxiety. Sh*t, he knows Namjoon!?
“Chorim, this kid here is my disciple.” Namjoon looked at him, “Isn’t that right?” Mingyu seemed uncomfortable but nodded anyway with a kind smile. Considering Namjoon’s tendency to throw spontaneous lavish parties and obsession with girls, it wasn’t hard to see why he seemed so unsettled.
“I don’t think he’s in very capable hands then.” Chorim teased.
“Chorim, he’s in very capable hands. Anyway, do you guys know each other?” Namjoon asked quite curiously.
“No, not at all!” Chorim waved her hands in the air and let out such an odd and forced laugh that there was no way it wouldn't seem suspicious to Namjoon.
“I was just asking her for the time because I left my phone at the table.” Mingyu smiled, going along with Chorim even though he didn't quite understand anything. Namjoon looked at him and then slowly nodded.
“Anyway, I have to go get back to Jin. I'll see you later at the table Namjoon!” Chorim rushed off with a fake smile pasted on her face.
Namjoon tilted his head, a bit puzzled by Chorim’s hasty exit, but disregarded it and turned his attention to Mingyu, “Okay, good thing I found you. I’m going to ask you something and you have to answer honestly, okay?”
“Am I not the most honest person you know?” Mingyu grinned, “Ask away.”
“Did you or did you not go to a club in Gangnam roughly two weeks ago?” Namjoon sternly eyed him down.
“I didn’t. Why?” Mingyu raised an eyebrow, thinking it was an odd question considering he knew Namjoon knew he was a high school student and the class president at a prestigious school no less. There was no way he would be seen anywhere near clubs.
“Alright if you say so.” Namjoon wanted to interrogate Mingyu further but from a brief glance at his watch, he knew the ceremony was about to begin soon. Just as he was walking away, he turned around again to face Mingyu, “You haven’t been in contact with Jungkook at all, have you?”
Mingyu firmly shook his head in response, “Not a word.”
Namjoon narrowed his eyes at him in suspicion as if he couldn’t help but not trust Mingyu completely, “Okay...but if I find out you’re lying, don’t expect any mercy from me.”
“Yes, of course hyung.”

A/N: Hello! I hope I was able to trick some of you into thinking it was Jungkook who called Chorim homeless! Hehehehehe.

Jungkook is quite a mysterious figure right now, isn't he? All in due time my friends, all in due time. It'll be worth it, I promise. Part 2 is coming soon ~ ! Thanks for reading as always.   Ó ‿ Ó
