“Why didn't you answer my call?!”

Afraid of waking up her neighbors (if he hadn't already), she quickly pulled him inside the apartment, closing the door behind him but he was quick to react. He stumbled forward but quickly gained his footing, and then he twisted his hand to hold the hand that was tugging at his arm, with one swift movement, he turned and pushed her up against the wall by the door.

“Why didn't you answer my call?” He repeated, resting an arm against the wall and towered over her.

“I was on a motorcycle, and I called you back but you didn't pick up.” She answered, not entirely able to comprehend the situation, it wasn't the first time she was woken up by Chanyeol but this was different. He was standing there, shoulders slumped and his clothes wet from being in the rain and stubbornly sticking to his lean frame. “And why are you soaked? Didn't you bring an umbrella?”

He didn't answer her, he wasn't even looking at her which made her worry.

“Is there something wrong?”

“Do you even care?”

“Chanyeol, what kind of question is this – what is going on with you?”

“Do you?!” He growled, taking a step towards her, sighing.

That was when she smelt it.

She immediately looked up at him, taking in the slightly flushed cheeks, dilated pupils and irregular breathing. Her brows furrowed. “Chanyeol have you been drinking?”

She was answered with silence, but his piercing stare was starting to stir up something familiar in her stomach, something that have been dormant for a while.

“Chanyeol, why are you like this?” She questioned, her tone softening a little. “Is something wrong? Did something happen? Wait...I'll get you a towel first.”

She moved to walk away, but he stopped her by seizing her wrist.

“Yeol?”

There was silence, again. But he spoke in a low voice. “Answer me.”

Haneul blinked. “Answer you what? And you should be the one answering my questions, why –”

Her words were silenced by a sudden and familiar pair of lips against hers. Her eyes widened and she froze. His lips started to move, desperate, urgent yet soft and gentle at the same time. He kissed her deeply, reacquainting his lips with hers after what felt like an eternity as he tried to evoke the response he was craving
