A/N: 's about to go down?

They reached the lobby and walked out of the building together. Kris was already waiting at the driveway, hip propped against the hood of his car and arms folded across his chest. He looked up, and immediately stood upright once he saw Haneul, his eyes flickered over to Chanyeol as they approached.

“Alright, I'll be going now, the club's that way.” He pointed to the right, adjusting the strap of his guitar case. He waved to Kris in greeting, and he returned the gesture.

“Okay, good luck and perform well, Yeol.” Thanks to her heels and the added height, she didn't have to stand on her tiptoes to rest her chin on his shoulder as they hugged.

Chanyeol was aware that Kris was watching, and a much as he wanted to keep her closer, run his fingers through her wavy locks to show him the claim he had on her, he couldn't do that. He couldn't be selfish, not when it came to Haneul.

So he pulled away after the short, and all too brief hug and gave her a tight lipped smile. “You enjoy your uh...date tonight.”

“Thanks.” She smiled, eyes shining with life and excitement. “I will.”

“Bye.”

“Bye, Yeol.”

Something inside his stomach dropped, and he watched her turn away from him and make her way towards Kris before he walked away, disappearing into the shadows at the dimly lit street corner. Kris met her halfway, hands outstretched and she immediately weaved her fingers through his once they were within reach.

“You look absolutely beautiful.” He tucked her hair behind her ear, and then pressed a kiss to her forehead before pulling back, revealing a bright smile on his face. “You ready?”

It was mid-June, and about a month since Haneul and Kris had started dating.

Chanyeol had been keeping himself busy at nights with Yixing and Kyungsoo by performing regularly at Soundless.
