- Bonus chapter 11.5: Suho's Interlude - The apartment wasn’t quiet until four in the morning, when the television was switched off, and the only source of illumination was the floor-lamp by the door. Always being the parent of the group, Joonmyeon slipped back into the apartment after disposing the garbage and gently closed the door shut. He placed Jongin’s keys back onto the counter and shambled over where numerous blankets, pillows and cushions took up refuge in the space of the living room along with the sleeping bodies that were his friends. Baekhyun was sprawled out on the carpet with limbs pointing at awkward directions and mouth hanging open while Jongdae slept soundly next to him with Yixing curled up against a cushion on the other side. Sehun was sleeping on the armchair, the blanket wrapped snugly around his frame while Soohyun rested against Kyungsoo. On the left side of the couch laid an unconscious Jongin with his legs hanging off the armrest and on the other side was Chanyeol with Haneul curled up and pressed against his chest, their chests heaving slowly with steady breaths. There was something about the two of them that Joonmyeon couldn't shake off, somehow despite their usual play banter relationship there were definitely times when he felt that there was something more...something more intimate. Like two people dancing along the non existent line between being just friends and well...lovers. Joonmyeon knelt down next to Tao who was leaned his back against the foot of the couch with his head hanging down. To save the poor boy from the possibility of having a serious neck cramp the following day, he slowly maneuvered his body – careful not to wake the boy – until he was lying on the carpet and slipped a pillow underneath his head. The boy stirred in his sleep but soon relaxed back into his position. The man smiled and settled himself on the extra set of pillows at Soohyun’s side, pulling the blanket up his chest and letting his eyes drift to a close. Chapter 12 Haneul was back at her apartment and fresh out of the shower when her phone buzzed with a text message. She sat down on her bed, letting the towel drape around her neck and grabbed her phone. Meet me at the fountain by Café Halcyon tonight at 9:15 sharp. -Chanyeol. Before she could type in a reply, her screen suddenly flashed with her mother’s contact photo and she immediately answered the call. “Mom?” “Merry Christmas my precious daughter.” Her eyes prickled at hearing the sound of her mother’s gentle voice. “Merry Christmas Mom.” “Wait hold on, I’ll put you on speaker because your father is getting really impatient.” Her mother laughed on the other end. “Okay you’re on.” “Haneul-ah, are you there?” Came the familiar deep voice of her father. “Yes. Yeah I’m here. Merry Christmas Dad.” Haneul spoke. “How is everyone?” “We’re doing great, darling.” There was a pause. “And Merry Christmas to you too.” Her mother asked. “How has your Christmas been so far?” “It’s been good. We had a party over at Chanyeol’s with the group and I’ll be meeting him later tonight.” “Is Chanyeollie taking good care of you?” She had to stop herself from laughing at the nickname that her mother has chosen to give her best friend after seeing him when they visited for a few brief days during Summer. Her parents had been requesting to meet him because it was the first time that Haneul told them about having a best friend and their interests – it was more on the side of curiosity to be honest – grew when they found out that it was a boy. But when they finally met over dinner, it didn’t take his parents more than five minutes to develop an extreme fondness for the elfish looking boy with the ridiculously long legs and a deep voice. “Yes he is. I’ll soon be moving in my new apartment a few f
