“Okay, so you didn't think that after kissing Haneul that one time, that it would be a bad thing to just straight up say that there's nothing between you two whatsoever – and in front of her too, may I add.”

Chanyeol just looked at Jongdae, his mind still working through and processing what he said.

“Hyung, I think you just friend-zoned yourself and Haneul-noona.” Jongin mumbled.

“Oh for 's sake.” Baekhyun threw his hands up in complete surrender, taking another piece of chicken from Jongin's tray and turning away from everyone. “He's hopeless.”

“Pretty much.”

“Wait, wait wait.” Joonmyeon said suddenly, getting everyone's attention. He made sure that he had everyone's – even Baekhyun's – undivided attention before he asked. “Chanyeol kissed Haneul?”

Kyungsoo, being the calm one of course, face-palmed himself and shook his head while Jongin just laughed at his hyung's reaction (and almost spilling his fries but no one cared about that enough to say anything about it at the time).

Baekhyun just looked like he's just about done.

“Twice.” Chanyeol said, his response slicing through the silence and they all turned their heads back to him, mouths agape and eyes wide.

“Actually.” He meekly corrected himself, shrinking back into the couch. “It was three times.”

“What?!” Baekhyun screeched, flailing around and practically killing him with his eyes.

“Wait, four. Four.” Chanyeol held up four fingers, and ducked when a cushion was aimed at his face.

Joonmyeon, the attacker, was looking at him as if he did the most gruesome and horrible thing in the world. He was staring at him, having already stood up and taken a defensive position, and looking like he was genuinely offended. “You ed up!”

“Thank you!” Baekhyun exclaimed.

Chanyeol shrunk further into his seat, Joonmyeon wasn't one to swear at all.

And of course, he couldn't tell the guys what they did during the trip.

“Seriously, you need to sort out before it gets so complicated that you two can't find a way back to what's normal.” Jongdae warned him with a stern look, his face clear of any emotions other than complete worry.

As much as Chanyeol didn't like what he was suggesting, he knew that it was true.

That night, he stayed wide awake, tossing and turning and thinking of all the possible ways he could go about fixing this.
