BAEKHYUN POV

    Waking up on New Years day with Heesung sleeping in my arms must be the best New Years Day ever. Her face was right by my chest with her arms close to herself. She was breathing calmly through her slightly open lips that I was staring at.

    What time was it? My clock was on my nightstand right behind me but I didn’t want to risk moving and waking her up despite the time so I ignored it for now. As I tried moving closer to her she suddenly stirred in her sleep making me stiffen. She furrowed her eyebrows and scrunched her nose for a moment before moving closer to me, nuzzling her face into my neck so I could feel her warm breath hitting my skin. I also felt her loosely wrap an arm around my hip. I breathed out when I noticed that she was still sleeping, well now I didn’t have to move or anything anymore and smiled as I fell back asleep.

    Waking up once again I reached out and felt an empty space beside me. My eyes sprung open and I turned to the other side and sighed out. Heesung was sitting on the edge of my bed and turned around.

    “Good morning.” She said and sat on the bed with her legs under her. I lay on my side with my arm supporting my head.

    “Good morning, beautiful.” I smiled and she rolled her eyes.

    “Please.”

    “How was your sleep?” I asked and chuckled.

    “Surprisingly good.” She answered.

    “Surprisingly?” I raised my eyebrows.

    Not saying anything else she just got off my bed and headed for my door. “It’s soon noon, get up if you want breakfast.” She told me before she left. With a grin on my lips I threw the blankets of me and hurried out my room.

 

 

HEESUNG POV

    After we ate the breakfast I prepared Baekhyun helped with the dishes and placing everything back where it belongs. “It’s snowed a lot last night.” I said as I stood and looked out his living room windows.

    “I know.” He said from the kitchen. I turned around and saw him drying his hands with the kitchen towel before hanging it back on the oven handle. “What do you want to do now?” He asked and I walked towards him.

    “I don’t know. I have to leave later though.” His expression turned a bit sad and I couldn’t help but feel guilty. “Mind if we just lay in bed for a while more? Until I have to go?” I asked and tilted my head. Baekhyuns raised his eyebrows and smiled. “Of course!”

     Baekhyun was lying under the covers supporting his head with his arm while I was sitting against his wall with one of his pillows in my lap.

    “School starts in a few days.” He said and I nodded. “Troublesome.” I added and he rolled to his back. “Mhm.”

    “After I leave today you won’t be able to see me until school starts.”

     He turned his head to me. “Why?” He blinked.

    “I’ll be busy with meetings until then.” I sighed deeply and he just nodded. “Oh, must be hard to have meetings even when you have holiday.” He faced his ceiling and placed a hand behind his hand while the other one lay on his stomach.

    “It’s tiring.” I confessed and decided to lay down as well, turned to him with his pillow in my arms.

    We just laid there for I don’t know how long but I assumed a few hours. He had his eyes closed his I had my head on his shoulder, small talk would occasionally pop up when one of us spoke but other than that it was complete silence, a silence that I think both of us enjoyed.

    When it was time for me to leave Baekhyun was already standing by the hallway when I walked out of the bathroom in my own clothes. I had one of his sweaters on me that he forced me to wear because of the weather. It was a black and yellow striped sweater that ended a few inches under the hem of my dress.

    “I guess I’ll see you when school starts again.” He said when he opened the door for me.

    “Yeah.” I agreed and turned around. “Thank you, for letting me stay the night.”

    “No problem.” He smiled.

    Leaning in I reached up and lightly gave him a kiss on the lips before turning away, making my way to the elevator. I knew that he was standing there wide-eyed as I quickly made my way down the corridor.

    Thankfully the elevator was already there so all I had to do was step in and press the button to the ground floor. When I turned to the side I saw in the mirror that I was actually blushing.

    “Noona!” Zelo greeted me with a wide smile when I walked into the house with Yongguk behind me.

    “Hey, how are you guys?” I smiled as I removed my coat and shoes.

    “Well…” Daehyun walked up behind him together with Luhan and Chen. “We haven’t…”

    “Seen you since last year.” Chen continued and began laughing and I just rolled my eyes, joining them.

    “You guys .” Yongguk commented and walked past us and up the stairs.

    “How was your sleep?” Lay walked up to me and helped me hang my coat on one of the hangers.

    “Good, I guess.” I began tying my hair up in a ponytail when I noticed they were all staring at me.

    “What?” I asked and looked at all of them with a raised eyebrow.

    “Whose sweater is that?” Luhan asked and eyed me from head to toe. Oh, right I’m wearing Baekhyuns sweater.

    I could see Chen standing behind the giant maknae with a smirk on his face, a very well known smirk. “Baekhyun keeps worrying about me getting sick because I dress to thinly for this weather.” I answered and made my way past them and hurried up to my room.

    “Oho!” Chen hollered from downstairs and I turned around when I reached the top of the stairs. Kris was now standing with them smirking together with Chen who kept wiggling his eyebrows. Luhan kept exchanging looks together with Daehyun while Zelo had his mouth agape behind them all. “THE SHIP IS SAILING!” Daehyun cheered, Chen joining him.

    Rolling my eyes I turned around and entered my room, placing my bag on my floor before I closed my door. Sighing, I removed the sweater and the rest of my clothes so I could take a warm bath.

    Ah, a warm bath was all I needed to calm my thoughts.

 

BAEKHYUN POV

 

First day of school again after the winter holiday made me somewhat excited. I haven’t seen Heesung or the guys for a while and I really missed them. Today would be the day Kai and Chanyeol would be back as well, which made me feel a little uneasy since I haven’t seen the two in a while.

    Heesung was nowhere to be seen when the classes started and I just assumed that she was busy with something else. Before lunch the guys and I all met up before we went to the cafeteria. Kai and Chanyeol apologized to us all and we forgave them only to make them promise to never to it again. Chanyeol quickly agreed, scared that that tall boy might come after him, he was talking about Zelo. The thought of my friend be frightened of someone just as tall as him but much younger amused me. Kai agreed as well but he said that he wouldn’t stop playing around with the girls in school, but no games. We all saw how the school’s female population all missed the two boys as soon as they walked past the gates.

    They all got those gifts with “Welcome back!” written on them, herbal medicine and sweets. Of course there was some nasty talk about Heesung going around when they came back as well but I ignored it. Deep inside I still believed they deserved it, heh.

    “Man, it feels a bit good to be back!” Kai said as we sat down on our usual round table in the cafeteria. He and Chanyeol sent smiles and winks to some girls who passed by and others that were sitting on nearby tables.

    “Can’t believe I’m saying this but I missed you guys.” D.O sighed beside Kai, the taller one throwing an arm around his friends narrow shoulders, pulling him into a manly brotherly hug.

    “And I missed you too, Kyungsoo!” The boy grinned making D.O roll his eyes and try to push his arm off him.

    “How’s it going with the café?” Chanyeol asked and looked at D.O. Suho, D.O and Sehun’s been visiting the hospital during the holiday, I only followed once though and that time we couldn’t stay long. We’d usually stay and update what’s been happening for the past few days or just sit and chat.

    When I followed we told them everything about the café Heesung and her brother owns, and that D.O is currently working part time there. Kai had asked if there usually comes cute girls there but we told him that they usually come for the male waiters, which made him grumpy.

    “Where’s Heesung by the way?” Kai suddenly asked and looked around the cafeteria. I raised my eyebrows at my friend, why was he suddenly asking?

    “Why?” I asked and he turned to me and blinked. He scratched the back of his head for a moment and we all saw the light tint of blush that appeared on his cheeks. Chanyeol who was sitting on the other side of him just laughed and lightly hit him on the arm while going ‘Ayy!’.

    “Well, I just wanted to see her.” Kai muttered, Suho, D.O, Sehun and I all exchanged glances and it seemed that only Chanyeol knew why our friend was acting like this.

    “Are you going to apologize?” Suho asked and Kai looked up.

    “Well-“ Kai paused and abruptly stood up from his seat, his head facing the cafeteria doors.

    We were all surprised by our friends’ action and just turned around to see what made him jump out of his seat. My eyes widened when we saw Heesung walk in through the doors.

    “Heesung-ah!” Kai called and hurried out of his seat and made his way towards the girl. Why did Kai sound so happy? My heart nearly stopped when he suddenly lifted Heesung up by her waist and hugged her tightly. What made more surprised was Heesung was laughing and smiling at Kai. “What the…” Sehun said.

    Chanyeol also got out of his seat and walked towards the two, Kai had his arm around her shoulders smiling down at her with his other hand in his pocket. She greeted Chanyeol with a hug as well and the taller one grinned widely. We weren’t the only one who was surprised with the scene in the middle of the cafeteria.

   I bet everyone was thinking ‘but aren’t they supposed to… Hate each other?’ Or at least not like each other because of what happened before the holiday?

   The three walked towards us, Kai stealing a chair from a table along the way, placing it beside him making Chanyeol scoot to the side, closer to me.

   “Hello.” She greeted us all with a smile.

   “Noona!” Sehun smiled widely.

    “Nice to see you again.” Suho smiled and gave her a short nod.

    “Hello.” D.O smiled as well.

    “Hi.” Was all I could say. I didn’t like the view of her sitting in between Chanyeol and Kai. What just happened?

    “Care to explain?” I mentally thanked D.O for asking the question I bet the whole cafeteria was wondering, mostly me.

    “Well…” Kai started and slung his arm around her shoulder and it didn’t seem like she minded but I did, oh I did. “She’s been visiting us at the hospital as well…” He muttered and Chanyeol nodded beside them.

    “What?” Our mouths fell and we stared at them dumfounded. When did this happen?

    “When? But-“

    “Usually early in the morning before her meetings.” Chanyeol interrupted Suho. “Long story short, she’s become one of your best friends over those visits.”

    He grinned and ruffled her hair earning a punch on his arm from her. Kai chuckled and pulled her in for an one arm hug, leaning his head on hers. “Yup, one of our best friends!” He said. “And if any man hurts her feelings I’ll come after him myself.” He added and I noticed how he briefly gave me a look. Great, another one has just been added to her ‘overprotective male friends’, and I knew that if Kai said that he meant it.

    “So what happened in the past…” D.O paused and looked at the three.

    “Basically all forgotten.” Chanyeol answered. Heesung just raised and eyebrow with a smile on her lips.

    “And I have plans with Heesung this week don’t I?” Kai happily announced and looked down at her. “Right?”

    “You’re treat.” Was all she said making the boy smile.

    While we all sat there talking about what’s happened during our holiday I couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy. The way Kai had his arm around her the whole time and the way Chanyeol kept teasing her casually as if they’ve known each other forever made me frown inside. She kept hitting and slapping him on his arms and chest, even head sometimes but all he did was laugh. Kai also seemed really casual about having his arm around her, smiling, giving her small glances. Oh, don’t you think I don’t see them Kim Jongin.

    It was time for us to leave and we all stood up carrying our bricks towards the dish rack. I looked back and saw that Kai had his arm around Heesungs waist while holding his brick with the other hand, his face by her ear looking like he was whispering stuff to her.

    When we all exited the cafeteria we heard a loud gasp behind us making us turn around.

    “Kim Jongin!” Heesung gasped and turned wideeyed to the boy who took a step back while laughing. He earned a punch on his arm but that made him laugh even harder, when was the last time we hear Kai laugh out loud like that? “Ah!” He groaned when he earned a kick on the shin from her.

   “Jesus, woman!” He yelled and literally ran past us with his arms around his head as if protecting himself.

    “Kim Jongin, get your back here!” Heesung screamed and ran after him down the corridor. Students stopping and turning around looking after the two people as well.

   “What jutht happened?” Sehun asked and we all turned to Chanyeol who had a wide grin on his face but he just shrugged and continued walking.

    “Probably just said something naughty again.” He casually answered.

    “Care to elaborate?” Suho asked and I begged inside that he would.

    “She’s the first girl I know who called him by his real name.” D.O said, we all agreed.

    “Because she’s the only girl Kai allows to call him by his real name.” Chanyeol answered. “Those two have gotten really close.” My heart clenched when he said that.

    Heesung wasn’t in the next class we had so I ended up sitting alone like I did this morning beside her seat. I wonder what happened with Kai. After class I met up with the guys by the lockers during the break before our last class of the day. “Boy, what happened to you?” D.O asked and eyed Kai from top to toe. The tall one was leaning against his locker while clutching his side. “I had to go to the nurse.” He said. “I think Heesung broke my hip or something.” Chanyeol began laughing. “How many times have I told you that she might kill you one day.” Kai groaned and straightened himself.

    “Where did noona go?” Sehun asked.

    “She went to the principal.” Kai answered and opened his locker.

    “Why?” I asked. Was she suddenly called to the principal?

    He shrugged and took his books out. “She said she had something important to talk to the old man about something.”

   

HEESUNG POV

    Aish! That erted boy, he’s almost as bad as Kris who already is really bad in his own way. I let Kai go after I managed to sidekick him in the hip, but followed him to the nurse afterwards. “Do you have to be so violent?” He complained when we walked out of the nurses office, well I walked while he had a limp.

    “Do you have to be so erted?”

    “Well, yeah.”

    I rolled my eyes at him and followed him to his class. When he went inside I walked down the corridor, making my way to the principal’s office. I slowly opened the door to the teacher’s office where only a few teachers sat in front of their computers typing away, minding their own business. A few were standing further in by the copy machine holding mugs filled with either coffee or tea. No one seemed to care when I walked in and made my way to the door that was on the other side that had a sigh ‘Mr. Lee’ on it.

    Knocking three times a muffled answer came from the other side, ‘come in!’. I opened the door and peeked in, Mr. Lee looked up from a few papers on his desk and smiled. “Ah, Heesung-shi! Come in, come in!” He told me and I did, closing the door behind me. He stood up from his seat and greeted me while shaking my hand. I took a seat on one of the two chairs in front of his desk.

    “You’re here to sign the papers I assume?” He asked and tilted his head.

    “Yes, I am. I’m aware that my brother has already signed them as well.” I told the old man.

    Mr. Lee was a very smart, so nice and understanding. He looked a bit younger than his age though if I had to admit. He could be very nice but very strict and frightening the next. Al though he never has been in bad terms with me since I’m number one in the whole school and he knows that I can easily exchange his position if I wanted too. But I had no reason too.

    He nodded and opened a drawer from his desk, pulling out a manila folder handing it to me. “Your brother and I have already gone through everything and all we need is you to sign.” He told me with a kind smile.

    I smiled back and took out the papers from the manila folder, my eyes quickly scanning all the papers before I nodded to myself. He handed me a pen that I used to sign the papers were I needed to sign before placing them back into the manila folder.

    “Here.” I said.

    “Everything’s done then!” He stood up and placed the manila folder in one of his metal silver drawers flipping through a couple of other folders before placing mine somewhere in the middle.

     I stood up as well. “I could stay a few more weeks right?” I asked and he nodded while shaking my hand once again.

    “Of course you could!” He chuckled. “You don’t have to worry about class work anymore though.” I nodded and we bowed to each other.

    “I’ll be taking my leave now then.” I turned around and was about to open the door.

    “I wish you luck after this, Heesung-shi.” He said and I turned around to see him standing behind his desk with his hands behind his back. I couldn’t help but smile.

    “Thank you.”

Long time no update everyone ! I haven't had time i apologize. Been busy with summerschool... Yes, summerschool because i at math. Numbers and i don't go well together you see, lol. Sorry if it was a shirt update. I don't know why but it felt weird writing this fic now that Baekhyun's in a relationship, not that i really care that he is i mean i support them C:
