Yiruma
The Little Blond BoyYiruma: he was Taemin’s hero. When it came to the piano, anyways. Otherwise, Minho was his hero, but that’s not the point of what he’s talking about right now.
Anyways, Taemin met his hero for the first time when he was seven. His piano teacher had told him that she had a surprise for him at his next lesson, and his was a bouncing, hyper mess until then.
He ran into his lesson, holding the sheets for the new song he wanted to learn under his arm. He pushed open the door to the room where his lessons were, grinning.
“Songsaenim~ I’m here~” He pouted when he saw that the room was empty, but shrugged, figuring his teacher was just finishing some work up or something before she could come.
He sat down at the bench, putting his sheets up while he tried to play them. He messed up a few times, but was playing the song almost perfectly. His teacher always told him that Yiruma’s songs were too advanced for him, but he thought that was just silly. He nearly always perfected the song within a decent amount of time, and he thought the songs were really pretty, so why not at least try?
That was the whole reason Taemin enjoyed playing the piano, because it always sounded so pretty, even when he just smashed all of the keys down randomly (his teacher didn’t like that, though).
When he finished, he was startled when he heard clapping at the door. He turned around quickly, and his eyes widened when he saw the man standing there.
It was Yiruma. His hero was standing mere feet away from him, clapping at his playing. Taemin thought he was going to pass out.
“Y-you’re Yiruma.” Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid! He just said the most obvious thing in the world!
But the man just chuckled, “Neh, and you’re Taemin, aren’t you?” He walked over to the boy, sitting on the bench next to him.
Taemin nodded, “N-neh.”
The man smiled softly at the little boy. “I’ve heard quite a bit about you, Taemin. Would you mind playing a song for me? It can be any song you like.”
