"Do you think she's suspecting something?" Changmin asked on the way back

"I don't know, I can't really tell.." I said

"I really don't want to lie to her Hyung" Changmin sighed

I stopped at the red traffic light as I waited for him to continue, he was going to say something else..

"And?" I asked

"I just feel that somehow, I've finally found a friend"

"Well aren't we your friends?" I chuckled jokingly

"I mean.. a sincere friend.. she seem to genuinly like us, for the people we are and not for our outer appearance and also.. she's different somehow"

"And you say that after only meeting her a few times?" I asked

"Well.. We've been living for a VERY long time and I'm pretty sure that we can easily read people.. well or at least figure out how they are" Changmin said thoughtfully

"No we can't, that's the thing. We can't read people because humans are hard to read"

"Why are we protecting her then if she's not our friend?" Changmin asked

"Because we have finally a place where we can settle down and we cannot risk to have anyone finding out about us, especially her so be careful of letting her getting to close to you"

"You should take your own advice" Changmin said

"I am" I mumbled

As soon as I parked the car, we got outside and in an blink of an eye we were already in the house to see what the other guys were up to. Seems like they were in a discussion about who the vampire was. He had been leaving even more bodies after him, not cleaning up and it was just a matter of time before anyone would find out. Well not that we believe that humans actually believe in supernatural things and people of our kind but who knows, when it ctually appears in front of them, they would immediately do anything to kill all of us

"Where do you think he's hiding?" Yunho asked

"I don't think he's able to go out in daylight. It's impossible for him right?" Yoochun said

"It can't be impossible but I believe we were the last people who received the rings from the witches before they totally left this continent" I mumbled

"But since he was going to attack Yumi, he can't be far away.. You think he's hiding somewhere in the woods?" Changmin asked

"In a cave perhaps?" Junsu said

"We've looked through the forest, no signs after him, no scent.. Nothing" Yunho stated

"Hey you.. how did it go at Yumi's place?" Yoochun asked

"I don't think she's suspecting anything" I said

"Good" Yunho said

"We should focus to find out who the guy is.." I said

"Where do we start? It's not like we can go around, tracking him down without letting it seem suspicious" Yoochun said

"I don't know either.. but he has to go out and feed" I said

"The question is when and where?" Yunho said

"I think he just takes whoever crosses his path" Junsu said

"How about we go downtown tonight, just to... check.. ?" Changmin suggested

"We should split up.." I mumbled

"What exactly happened at the mansion?" Jiyeon asked and looked at me for the 11th time

"I tripped.. and fell.. and JaeJoong helped me.." I replied for the 11th time

"How are you able to get a wound like that and a bruise like that?" Minji asked worriedly

"The stairs?" I said

I was not paying attention and I was definitely thinking about the guys, the accident and my car. I did go out to check on it yesterday but nothing was wrong with it. It was in a perfect shape and there was nothing wrong with it. Or well I couldn't find anything on it at lest.

"What are you thinking about? You seem like everything is troubling you right now" Jiyeon asked

I sighed

"I don't know myself actually" I said

"What is it? Something happened at the mansion?" Jiyeon asked

"I'm not sure either.. I just feel like... I don't know" I sighed

After an hour they weren't able to get it out of me because I myself didn't know what was wrong with me. As the girls left, I decided to take a shower just to clear my mind and try to think of something else.

As the warm water was washing away, making my muscles relax I tried to think of something else but I just seemed like I wasn't able to let it go. After the shower I dried my hair quickly and changed into a long sleeved black sweater and a pair of long black pants and sat down on the bed while holding the pillow

It just seemed like something was missing here and there and no matter how much I tried to think about it, it just ended all up in vain because I had no reason to scream at them, annoy them or discuss with them because they were only going to tell me to rest. As for the second, they weren't going to tell me anything anyway so I shouldn't even bother trying..

A knock on the window startled me as I turned my head to see something behind the curtains. I walked slowly over to the window and pulled the curtains aside as I saw a smiling JaeJoong holding onto the house in order to not fall down as he was waiting for me to open

"What are you doing here?!" I asked and looked at him

"Can I come in?" He asked

"Come in" I said

I stepped aside as he jumped inside my room lightly and I closed the window hurriedly as I ran over to the bedroom door and closed it as well

"Your aunt and uncle is home and I don't really know if it's good to visit you at this time of hour.." JaeJoong apologized

"Well you did choose wisely" I chuckled

JaeJoong smiled happily as he then a minute after, shook the water off his head. Apparently it was raining outside

"So what brought you here at this time of hour?" I asked and walked over to the bed and sat down

"I said I was coming back to check up on you wasn't I?" He said happily

"Well.. you don't really have to.. it's nothing wrong with me.." I said

"Except for the fact that you almost got killed but survived and that you refuse to listen to me then yeah.. it's nothing wrong with you" JaeJoong said and sat down on the small couch at the end of my bed

He then turned to me and looked at me

"Just showered?" He asked

"How did you know?" I asked

"Your hair is still wet" He chuckled

I touched my own hair slightly, only to find him being right about it and I even felt myself soon blushing since he was noticing really small details about me

"So this is how a girl's bedroom look like" He nodded

"You've never been inside a girl's bedroom before?" I asked

"No I haven't" He said truthfully

"You're lying" I chuckled

"I'm telling the truth" He pouted

I stopped chuckling as I looked at him, only to find him telling the truth. He had never been in a girl's room before? Well not that I believe him because he must have had been in his past girlfriend's rooms right?

"Don't lie.. you must have at least been in your ex's bedrooms?" I asked

JaeJoong chuckled lightly

I didn't really get an answer which kind of caused me to sit up with the pillow close to my stomach, holding it as I looked at it. Is it possible that JaeJoong who is looked like a model, have never had a girlfriend?

Well not only his looks but he seemed to be a very kind guy as well.. Caring to judge by my opinion

"You've never had a girlfriend before?" I asked

He chuckled even more

"I have" He said thoughtfully

"But never been inside her room?" I asked

"I grew up as the only child. And I was raised to never enter a girl's room without having getting married before doing that" He said

"What?!" I gasped

He nodded shyly

"Yes"

"And now you feel shy since you're in my room? Do you find it embarrassing?" I asked

He shook his head

"It's not that.. special.. Except for all the girl stuff"

"Then how did you imagine it to be?" I asked

"I don't know.. Very.. not.. guy like?" He asked

Both of us started to laugh quietly

"How was she like?" I asked as soon as we had stopped laughing

JaeJoong shrugged as he looked down while playing with his own fingers

"I'm sorry if it was too personal" I mumbled, not knowing if it was okay for me to ask him a question like that

He shook his head

"It's okay... it's just that.. it's not worth to talk about it.." He said sincerely and looked up to smile at me apogetically. Although I don't know why he seemed so sorry about it

"Was... it that bad?" I asked him

I tried to read him but his face was expressionless. I couldn't tell if he was hurt by his ex or if it was because the relationship wasn't so good or whatsoever. JaeJoong was good at not showing his feelings and maintain himself. But somehow the atmosphere changed and it became somewhat serious

"Well.. it's not worth talking about it.. spending time talking about something that happened a long time ago is.. like holding onto the past. I'm over it now and we live in the present.. so ... let's just drop it okay?" JaeJoong said

I nodded

"I understand" I smiled

"Anyway, I have to go... I'm glad you're feeling better" He smiled and stood up

"Already..?" I asked, feeling somewhat disappointed cause I was actually hoping that he would stay a little longer

"Is there something? You need me to stay for something?" He asked and looked at me

I shook my head

"Company is never wrong" I said and smiled at him

He smiled back at me as his frown disappeared

"I see.. Well.. we can always meet tomorrow.." He said

"You're coming back?" I asked, feeling my chest getting a little warm just by the thought of him coming back for my sake

He nodded

"I can always check up on you, it doesn't hurt to check up one more time" He said

"Do you really care that much about me?" The words just slipped out of my mouth out of mistake which I couldn't hold back for some reason. I guess I was thinking loudly and saying it out loudly

JaeJoong looked at me for a long time, our eyes meeting and as he tilted his head to the side, my heart just had to skip a beat and electricity was felt through my body as he took a step closer to me. My heart started to beat faster and I started to panic, wondering if he was able to hear the heartbeats as clear as I could

"I just want to make sure that you're okay" He replied

I didn't have time to understand what happened in the next few seconds cause he then smiled at me, took a step back and jumped out of the room and down to the ground and there I was, standing there like a frozen statue, staring out into the night as the wind was coming in, embracing me slowly

After I woke up from my daze I walked slowly towards the window and closed it and with the heart beating fast, I tried to relax and calm myself down

When I finally did, I lied down on the bed, tucked myself in before switching off the light..

Even though he somehow kind of answered the question, it wasn't a clear reply which I had wanted to have..

Was that a sign of him actually caring, or him just checking up on me in order to help me to not let everybody worry??
