I wasn't really sure if it was me or if he was tired, but I did notice that he was uncomfortable, not only uncomfortable, it was as if... he was.. suffering.

When he started the engine, I didn't even dare to breathe, not move or say anything. Was it really too much of me to ask him to give me a ride home?

"JaeJoong.. I.. can call someone to pick me up. You don't.."

"It's late Yumi, I'm sure I will be able to just drive you home. It's a simple task.. not something that you couldn't ask of me right?" JaeJoong said softly while his eyes were on the road

I saw him holding onto the wheel, so hard that it felt like the wheel where his hand was getting smaller, as if the wheel were marked after his hand

I didn't know what to say or what I was feeling at the moment. I was just a part of an caraccident, I somehow survived and then we have that strange man who was walking towards me but not to help me. A normal human being would have at least started to run as soon as he or she sees a accident right?

"You're thinking.. very loudly. It's almost I can hear you work on something hard inside of your brain"

JaeJoong took me back and I stared at the road in front of me, only to recognize that I wasn't far away from the place where I had left the car earlier

"I'm just thinking.."

"About?" JaeJoong asked

"How I almost died, how I miraclously survived and had the blessing of being saved by you and Yunho. And then.. we have this strange man who didn't run to help me, instead he was walking slowly, he was probably going to ignore me as well since he ignored the entire scene of seeing the car roll around. I mean, what human being would be so calm when only standing a few feet away from the actual spot of the accident?"

JaeJoong was quiet and sighed

"I don't know. Maybe he didn't want to get involved and wanted to be blamed for the accident" JaeJoong suggested

"That is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. I was driving, safely. There was nothing on the sideways, nothing in front of me or behind me and I was driving really safely, the exact speed that the signs said and yet I ended up in the accident. It was like, something.. just appeared out of nowhere in front of me and somehow managed t make me lose control over the car.. and yeah.. I guess you know the rest" I sighed and looked at the road ahead

"Are you sure there was a man walking towards you?" JaeJoong asked me

"I am not hallucinating! I'm serious, I saw him and I called for help and I ev...."

I stopped talking as I recognized the exact spot where I had just rolled around in the car and where the accident took place

"STOP THE CAR!" I shouted

"Yumi?" JaeJoong asked

"THE CAR! IT'S GONE! AND THERE'S NOTHING!! No traces!!" I shouted out of shock

"Look you were knocked out for a long time okay? We called the police and told them that there was a car accident but the actual person in it were nowhere to be seen"  JaeJoong said

"What?" I said and stared at him

"Yes, we did that"

"And they didn' ask any further questions?! Aren't they suppose to search for me right now? They must have looked up the registration number" I said in panic

"Why are you panicking?" JaeJoong asked

"I don't want my aunt and uncle to worry about me. They would be devastated if the police told them that I crashed the car and that I am nowhere to be found and..."

"Just calm okay? I'm sure your aunt and uncle are waiting for you" JaeJoong said

"How can they just sit down and wait? I'm pretty sure that they are out looking for me. Anything! Oh my God, what did I just do?" I sobbed

"Hey.. hey.. Don't cry. Look, isn't that their car?" JaeJoong said

I had been so into the worry and anxiety and the panic that I had totally forgot the time and not concentrated on the roads that I just now realized that we were back at the house

"They... are here" I stuttered and clicked on the seatbelt button in order to let it release me

"See, you don't need to worry" He said

"But.. how is.."

"Look, isn't the point that you are fine and that your aunt and uncle are home? I'm pretty sure you don't want them wandering in the woods with that animal attacking people" JaeJoong said

"But the police.. weren't they.."

"We took care of it. We did have someone examine you before we took you back. I was pretty sure as well that you didn't want to worry anyone, especially your uncle and aunt and so we spoke to the police and they let it go"

"And where is the car now?" I asked

"We're going to fix it. We covered it all up for you so you don't have to worry about anything okay? You're safe, your family is safe. So all you have to do now is to rest. Could you please do that and not work yourself up like that?" JaeJoong asked

For the first time ever since we arrived I looked at JaeJoong only to my surprise, seeing him paler than earlier and he now had dark circles around his eyes and he looked worn out. Exhausted as if he hadn't eaten in days

"JaeJoong? Are you okay? You look.."

"I'm fine.." He smiled

"You don't look fine to me" I said and stretched out my arm where I had the wound

He jerked back in a second and took a deep breath, not only one but several breaths. Seems like he was getting more and more uncomfortable and he didn't look at me

"You should go inside. I have to get back"

"Jaejoong... are you okay.. you"

"Please, go inside, you need to rest"

"But you.."

"Please listen!" JaeJoong said, his voice being harsh and also cold

In shock I fumbled with the door and got out hurriedly as I closed the door. He then stayed quiet before he looked back at me and smiled palely and bid good night before leaving.

After seeing him making a u-turn and disappearing behind the corner I hurried inside, unlocked the front door and walked into the house only to see aunt and uncle watching Tv happily

"I'm.. home"

"Hey Yumi. Did you have fun at Jiyeon's movie night?"

I immediately got confused as I stopped by the staircase. Aunt and uncle didn't look at me , instead they were watching the tv while talking

"Jiyeon's movie ni...ght?" I asked

"Yeah, your friend Changmin called earlier and told me that after looking at the paintings you were going over to Jiyeon's place to watch a movie" Aunt said

"Oh.. yes.. that's.. right. It was really fun.."

"I'm glad. You must be tired" Aunt said

"I am.. Good night"

I hurried upstairs into my bedroom and closed the door hurriedly as I walked over to my bed and sat down.

They called.. here? But how...

I scratched the back of my head and tried to understand why they on earth would call to auntie just like that.

I sighed heavily as I felt like not dealing with this anymore. There had been so many things today that I wasn't sure what was happening. I should take JaeJoong's advise and just... rest..

I got out of the car as soon as I found myself on the highway to road 45 again and as soon as I was able to get onto the small pavement, I stopped the car, far enough to hide it and as soon as I got out I started to breathe heavier than earlier

"HEY JAE!" Junsu said and stopped right in front of me

"Hey, what's going on? You're okay?" Yoochun asked as he appeared right next to me as well

I looked up at them and they stared at me

"You didn't.. feed on her did you?" Junsu said shockingly

"Of course not.." I breathed

I leaned against the car with my two arms and soon enough raised my head only to see my reflection as a vampire in it

Pitch dark eyes, black bloodveins around the eyes and my two front teeth longer and sharper and blood veins on my neck

"She's okay?" Junsu asked

"She asked.. so many questions.. I couldn't even think!" I said in anger as I wandered around, just to have something to do in order to make my craving go away

"I heard her asking you about the car.. and the police and.. the ambulance.. and everything" Yoochun said

"I know.. I think I was able to convince her at least"

"Well it did sound promising.. truthful" Yoochun laughed

"I need.. to.. hunt" I said and breathed heavier as I felt myself almost losing control any minute now

Junsu looked at Yoochun and Yoochun nodded

"You two go.. I'll take the car"

"I need.. blood.. and right now I'm craving for her.." I said, almost sounded too pitiful since I was trying to resist it but neither could my mind and teeth do it

"Junsu go with him and make sure he won't go anywhere near her. Hunt all night if you must" I heard Yoochun say

Suddenly I couldn't resist it anymore. I sprinted off and I heard Junsu was close behind me, only a few inches away

"JAE NO!"

I was tossed down onto the ground and I growled in anger as I saw Junsu growling back at me

"FIGHT IT!" Junsu said, his voice suddenly darker

I didn't answer, instead I started to run again and I felt myself suddenly being tossed down once more

"Get out of my way Junsu. NOW!" I growled angrily

"Listen, you hear that?" Junsu said

I stiffened and I felt my eyes looking through the dark and I could smell the scent of fresh blood not too far away

"HUnt down that animal and drain it with all you might" Junsu said

My hunting senses took over and I sprinted off immediately, having Junsu following me. Even if I deep down didn't want to go after Yumi, I was no longer in control of my body. Good thing for her that I haven't been invited to the house

And good thing for me that there was animal nearby

I don't know what I would have done if.. I had lost the control..
