I listened to her heart beating, *thump thump.. thump thump*

I turned my head to see her breathing in and out, deeply, slowly and carefully

It was as if I was given a second chance as well. A second time to make it up to her. I wasn't going to let this chance blow away.

I carefully managed to crawl my way out of the bed without waking her up. She shifted position and I tucked her in once again before leaving the bedroom to see where the guys were. 

Yoochun was on the laptop while Yunho was staring outside the window along with Changmin. Junsu were halfsleeping on the couch while Kibum was sitting on the armchair staring blankly ahead. I don't know if we all could understand that she was alive and that she was okay. I don't really know what was going through their minds right now but whatever it was, it had something to do with Yumi

"How is she?" Kibum asked as I arrived

"She's.. in shock. She's tired and she's sleeping at the moment" I said

"Any.. changes?" Changmin asked.

I knew exactly what he was talking about. Any signs of her becoming a vampire, anything that would be suspicious or weird with her as if she was transitioning into a vampire. We were very careful and very observant at the moment. We were all scared. Even Kibum who had told us to let her become a vampire was worried. That was very unlike him

I shook my  head

"She's still her. I can hear her heart very clearly" I said

"Good.." Yunho mumbled

"So what now?" Junsu asked tiredly

"Go back and check the mess. Gather some strength and move into our mansion again. But first we gotta repair it. And with the 6 of us doing it in our speed, I'm sure we will be able to be finished before tomorrow night" Yoochun said

"You've ordered all the materials and everything that we need?" I asked

"I just did" Yoochun smiled

"We should go back to the woods" Kibum said

"I know. But I want to let her rest before we go. It takes all 6 of us to be there just in case and I can't leave Yumi alone. She's not safe anywhere except.. with us" I said, realizing all our mistakes we had done to protect her

No one said anything so I guess everyone agreed. She was nowhere safe other than being with us. We refuse to make the same mistake again and I don't want her to unprotected. She's the most protected when she's with us, that's for sure.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Her scream made me automatically move to the bedroom and all of us were there in a second. 

"YUMI!?"

She was crying and breathing fast as she was sitting on the bed. Changmin and Junsu checked the room fast and when that was done, we all gathered around the bed and I sat down to take her in my arms.

"It was .. just a dream" I whispered, comforting her

She nodded

"I know.. I know" She sobbed

I looked at the guys, all of us assuming that it must have been about Yuri. I swallowed hard. 

I didn't really know what to do cause dreams were something that I had no power over. I looked at Changmin helplessly and he just stood there looking all pained by the fact of knowing that Yumi was now suffering. 

I hushed her for awhile and when she had calmed herself down, Yoochun brought some tea inside. 

She drank a little and then put it on the table right next to the bed and she stared blankly ahead, causing me and the guys to look at her as well. 

"What.. are you.. thinking?" I asked slowly

"I need.. to go back" She whispered

"Back where?" Junsu asked

"Where.. it all happened" She said and looked at Junsu

Junsu's eyes widened in shock

"You can't. It might be dangerous" Kibum said calmly

"I have to face it. I have to see myeslf that she's dead" Yumi said

"You won't be able to recognize her. Her body has been burned" I mumbled

"I'm sure I will be able to see her .. somehow" Yumi whispered

I swallowed hard. I couldn't disagree and refuse to let her come with us. But will this really help her?

"I think.. we should do as she say. She might need to face it" Changmin said slowly, somewhat gloomy

"You're not serious are you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow

"She's the one who's been through the worse for the night. And by bringing her will might give her some peace and quiet. You know.. assure herself" Changmin said

"Can't we do this tomorrow?" I asked

Yumi shook her head

"The sooner.. the better"

As she said that she got off the bed and went inside the bathroom, I heard her locking herself in there and soon the water was on. 

"What do you think?" I asked and looked at Yoochun who was always wise and smart. He always knew the right things to say and do

"I think.. Changmin is right"

I let out a heavy sigh

"Let's.. get the cars ready.. then"

I waited for Yumi with my big sweater as the guys went downstairs. Yunho were probably checking out while the rest of them went for the cars. 

As she got outside, I saw her hair in a ponytail and the loose black pants, her white tanktop and her black sweater, tightly wrapped around her body. Was she cold because it was cold.. or was she shivering from her inner thoughts, her inner fears?

"Thank.. You" She whispered

I helped her with my own sweater and as she was about to walk away, towards the door I took a hold of her hand and pulled her back to me.

"You're sure you're okay?"

She shook her head

"I'll be.. okay when I've seen it with my own eyes" She whispered

I hugged her tightly and then grabbed her hand and we went downstairs, were Yunho were waiting in the lobby along with Junsu. 

I was handed my keys to my black sport car and the other guys went inside Yunho's car and we speeded away from the hotel and raced our way back to the woods. I threw a glance at the clock to see it was 4 am in the morning. I felt the worry for Yumi growing. She must be so tired and so worn out and yet she wasn't able to sleep. I swore to myself that when this was over, I would take her away, far away for a vacation and I was hoping that it would help her emotionally somehow

I parked right next to Yunho's car and when Yumi got out of the car, the guys gathered automatically around her, her bodyguards. I don't know if there were any danger because I'm pretty sure we had killed all of them but just in case. 

I walked over to Yumi and lifted her up tightly and close to my body and then we ran. I was the fastest and I felt Yumi's grip becoming harder and harder around me and I hugged her back of course. 

And then.. we stopped

The scent of the burned vampires was disgusting and it made your nose burn and I think Yumi flinched by the terrible smell. Me and the guys on the other hand were already familiar with this smell. Yunho and Junsu were walking behind me and Yumi, Kibum to the right of Yumi and me on the left. Changmin was in front of us and Yoochun were in font of Changmin. 

All our attention were on top. Observing, listening, smelling, feeling. We were not going to take any risks right now.

We got closer to the fire place where we had burned them all and I saw something belonging to Yuri in there. Yumi let go of me and she slowly approached the fire place and looked at it, staring at it. The scent didn't disturb her anymore. We all kept looking at her while our ears and noses were observing the area. 

"She's.. really gone" Yumi whispered

Yumi looked around the area. 

I guess she was able to see a bit clearer now since the sky was drifting off from night to day. It was almost dawn and the sky was getting lighter by every minute. 

"Spread out, look around" I whispered

I saw all of the guy's faces change and the ran off in the speed of light. I moved myself right next to Yumi and protectively put my arms around her

She hugged me, pulled me closer and buried herself into my chest. I enjoyed it, embraced her and protectively held her close to me while looking around. 

Yumi soon enough let go of me and looked around as well and I felt her head stop and her eyes were looking somewhere. 

"Yumi.."

She let go of me and slowly walked towards the place where Yuri had staked her, killed her. 

I remained on the same place while looking at her. I saw her hand moving and then it stopped. Right where she had been wounded by her. I started to wonder if she was recalling the pain. Recalling the anxiety and fear which she must have felt then

"Hyung, no one's here" 

Yunho came back immediately after searching around and the guys, one by one appeared.

"We should check the mansion" Yoochun suggested

"You go ahead. I'll bring Yumi" I mumbled

The guys got into the car and I ran towards Yumi and took her hand

"Let's go" I whispered

She backed away from the place and came into my arms

"Promise me to never bring me back to this place again" She whispered

I started to run while holding her close to me

"I promise"

When we arrived at the mansion I couldn't help but sigh at the look of it. THey had destroyed at least half of the mansion. 

"What happened here?" Yumi asked

"They kind of destroyed it just to get us out" Changmin shrugged

"My god.. they did this to us as well" Yumi whispered

We walked and approached the mansion while listening to any sounds. Changmin took a wooden plank from the mansion and looked at it before throwing it into the woods, sighing.

"I liked this mansion" Changmin said

I think I heard the first laugh of, which seemed like forever and it was Junsu

"I think you need to build yourself another herb house Hyung" Junsu said

I couldn't even help but smile at this point

"SHHH"

We all froze and I even leaned forward as Kibum said that and then I heard it. Steps. Someone was running. Changmin was right next to Yumi in a second and Yunho as well. 

All of us turned our heads to the direction where we heard the steps coming from and soon a man, probably in his 30's coming from the wood

"Oh My Lord. What happened here?"

My eyes kept staring at him, didn't want to answer

"We don't know. We just got here" Yoochun said, slowly and very observant

"I saw the house and I thought I could use some water. You don't happen to have any do you?" He asked as he got closer. 

"His heart is beating" I whispered

The guys listened and when we assured ourselves that it was okay, the tension loosened a bit and even Yumi seemed to be happy to have a human around her again

"What are you doing out here so early Sir?" She asked

"Hunting of course. All the animals appears at this time of hour" he smiled

"You have any water?" She asked us

"I'll.. check" I said, my voice sounding very robotic

There was something about this man that I couldn't put my finger on. Half of the mansion was gone and the side where he was coming from, that side of the mansion was gone. How could he have possibly seen it?

"Jae? Water?" Yumi asked

Me and Yunho walked away from Yumi and towards the cars to see if we had any water. 

I think even Changmin did that too since his car was unharmed. 

I saw Yumi from the corner of my eye, talking to the man while she was waiting for us to get the water

Then I heard something. It was very similar to the sound of a knife's blade. I spun around only to gasp in horror

"YUMI NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kibum shouted
