*Ring Ring

I looked around, halfopened eyes as Yumi was sleeping on my chest, while both of us were lying down, looking for the phone that was insanely ringing nonstop

I flicked it open, hoping that Yumi wouldn't wake up

"Yeah?"

"Jae, you need to come back home. Now" Changmin breathed in the phone

"What? What's wrong?"

"You have to come back home now. But don't bring Yumi. I think you should see it first before we say anything" Changmin said hurriedly

"But I can't leave her here by herself"

"I know that's why I sent Kibum over" Changmin said in panic

"Kibum? Are you insane? He's gonna start a fight with her" I said upset as I looked down on her sleeping

"No, I talked to him and he promised to be polite and very friendly but not more than an hour. Just an hour" Changmin said

I looked behind the couch to hear the doorbell ringing and I sighed

"He's here. I'll be back in a minute" I said and hung up

Yumi started to move and she seemed to be a bit uncomfortable and then her eyes opened confused but a smile appeared quickly when she met my eyes

"Hey there"

"Hey"

The doorbell rang again and I sighed

"Who's that at this time of hour?" She yawned

"Kibum" I mumbled as Yumi sat up slowly, followed by myself

"Kibum?!"

Her eyes widened in shock and I saw her awake fully now when I mentioned his name

"I need to go back to the mansion and I can't leave you here without protection. The guys need me for something" I said

"Need you? For what? Did something happen?" She asked

"I'm not sure myself actually but I want you to stay here until I'm able to come and get you. I don't really feel at ease having someone else protecting you than myself" I smiled and gave her a kiss on her forehead

"OH COME ON, JUST LET ME IN NOW WILL YOU?!?!?!" I heard Kibum shout from the other side of the door

"I really hate him. Why can't I just go with you?"

"Because I can't. I promise I will call you as soon as I know what is going on. You just need to endure one hour with him"

"Why does it feel like you said a lifetime" She mumbled

I got up from the couch and tucked her in with a blanket before I hurriedly moved myself fast from the livingroom to the front door. I opened it to see a newly showered Kibum, wearing black jeans with black boots, a black tank top and a black leather jacket. He really looked like a badass

"Took you too long. Invite me in, I need to sit down"

"Why can't you just stop nagging?" I rolled my eyes

"Cause I had to stand out here far too long if you ask me and it's not like I'm doing this because I want too but seems like it's veeeeeeery important you better get going" Kibum said

"Yumi? Can you please invite him in?" I asked as I heard Yumi getting closer from behind

"Do I have to?"

"Why, you hate me that much? Because I heard you earlier"

"I know and I'd rather stay inside and letting him freeze to death outside"

"A, I can't freeze cause I'm pretty immune to that. B. I already died, and I'm still here. C. I'm gonna stay here for a long time" He smiled proudly

"You know that asking me to endure one hour with him will make me age 20 years older right?" She said and looked at me, causing me to laugh

"I'm sure you will still look beautiful" I smiled

"Please come in Kibum" She sighed

"Oh So cheesy, you make my stomach twist" He rolled his eyes

JaeJoong left in a hurry and I closed the door, locked it and went to the kitchen to see that it was almost 2 AM in the morning. I decided to make myself some tea as I tried to avoid Kibum who was probably searching and looking through the entire house at the moment

"Hmm.. cozy" He chuckled and sat down in the kitchen

"Can't we just stay away from each other for an hour? Please? You give me a headache" I mumbled

"You're really.. really... annoying" He said

"I'm nothing compared to you"

"That's what you say"

"WHat do you want Kibum? What exactly do you want? Nag? Irritate me? Annoy me? Make me angry? Make my life miserable?" I sighed and looked at him

He shrugged

"Why are you dating a vampire?"

"Why wouldn't I?"

"He's not human"

"He's a great guy"

"He's immortal"

"And he's understanding"

"He kills people"

"He kills animals"

"He feeds on blood"

"I love him"

Kibum quieten and I was staring into his black eyes as he was looking back at me

He suddenly got up and approached me and stopped a few inches away from me while staring into my eyes

"Do you have any idea what you're making him go through?"

"I do"

"And you're still doing it? How selfish can you be?"

"It would be more selfish of me to not consider his feelings as well as my own" I said

"You're making him suffer plenty of pain which you have no idea or are capable of knowing what that is" He said

"He made his choice in life. What choice did you make?"

Kibum quieten once again and I stared intensely into his eyes as I tried to figure out what he wanted out of this. I knew he was mourning and still suffering but why would he at all terms, try to break me and JaeJoong apart?

"I didn't make any choices, I accepted the options that I had. JaeJoong didn't"

"He did and he found a way to fight himself through it"

Kibum chuckled sarcastically

"Your love for him is so tragic. Your lovestory overall is tragic. You really think that this will last? He's a vampire, You're human. He's immortal, you're mortal. He needs blood, You can provide him with that.You can love him as much as you want and he can love you as much as he wants, but you will never be equal. Never"

The door was suddenly opened and Kibum backed away from me as we both were staring intensely into each other's eyes as I unknowingly had a tear strolling down my face

"Yumi? You have to come with me.. now. I..."

JaeJoong stopped and looked at me and was right by my side as he saw me crying

"Yumi? Why..."

JaeJoong didn't finish his sentence and he spun around only to find Kibum gone. I swallowed hard, trying to choke the words that was bubbling up to the surface

"What did he say to you?"

"Nothing, it doesn't matter" I said

"It matters to me"

"It's not important. What's wrong? You look so..."

"I need you to change and come with me. Now"

"Why.. what happened? You look so devastated"

He sighed

"Please hurry"

He didn't have to say anything else and I hurriedly ran upstairs and changed into a pair of black jeans, a tank top and a long sleeved cardigan and I put my jacket on hurriedly as I ran down and we got outside the house and into the car.

After 20 minutes we were outside the mansion and JaeJoong hurriedly opened the door and we were right by each other's side as we went inside. I had no idea of what was going on but I was more than scared. I was terrified. What was going on?

I entered the livingroom only to see Changmin and Yunho blocking the view of someone lying on the couch, while Yoochun and Junsu were standing on the other side of the couch

"Yumi.." Changmin said and spun around

"What is wrong? Why do you all look so ser...."

I didn't get to finish the sentence before I saw who was lying on the couch. I fell to my knees as I tried to catch my breath, trying to remember how to breathe while my heart was fighting to get the blood circulation going inside my body, my veins.

"I'm so sorry" JaeJoong whispered

Donghae was there. With a stake through his heart and his eyes were closed as I saw his rotten skin and face

"We found him an hour ago with a note. Yuri killed him" Yunho whispered sadly

I struggled my way over to the couch and threw myself over him as I continued to cry. I couldn't stop myself. I didn't know how to stop and most of all, I didn't know how to stop the pain that was making a big hole inside my chest
