JaeJoong held onto me, tightly, as if his arms was a chain and a sign of never letting me go. Ice cold tears streamed down as I tried to understand if I did feel anything. If the humanity could feel the sadness and pain that I was feeling. They must feel it somehow right? Afterall, my eyes were letting tears run down my face

"I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you" JaeJoong whispered and put both of his hands on my face as I shook my head

"No not.. it's not.."

"I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you" He whispered again

He kissed my forehead and took me into his arms again

"I don't wanna be like this Jae. I want to be able to be with my family and friends. Be around humans without always being on guard and scared of hurting someone" I whispered while crying

JaeJoong kissed my forehead again and pulled away as he looked at me

"I'm not gonna lie. It's not gonna be easy. But I'll be there.. So will the guys.. " He assured me

I nodded, taking it in as I breathed in his cologne and tried to accept the situation the best I could. The only thing was that I had to understand my own feelings first, sort them out. And then start working on myself.

"How is she doing?"

Yoochun's voice was heard before I even arrived at the livingroom but they obviously heard me coming. As I arrived I saw the guys sitting or standing, gathered around the table as the fire place was lightened, sparks being heard

"She is devastated I think. Hurt.. and confused. But she is trying to accept it" I mumbled

"The only thing we didn't want to happen.. happened.." Changmin said sadly, his voice filled with guilt

"We did our best" Kibum tried

"But we could have done better" I mumbled

"We can't stand here and blame ourselves. It will do no good. We just have to... help her" Yoochun said

Everyone agreed as Yoochun uttered himself

"Her humanity is still strong. Just the sign of her not wanting to drink blood earlier and when she did, she stopped herself since she felt disgusted, she will become one of us in no time" Yunho said

"But it still requires energy and time. Practice" I said

"It took decades for us" Junsu said

"But she's different. She hasn't even left the mansion ever since she was transitioned into a vampire and not only that, all her feelings from her human life is still so strong that it has a bigger and deeper impact than her greed for blood" Yoochun said

"But I think it's only because she is still confused and messed up. Once she has settled the things and the complications she feels, maybe her greed will start to control her" I said, fearing the worse

"I have a feeling that it won't" Kibum mumbled, uttering himself after listening for a long time. 

All of us turned to him as he stared into the fire, his eyes burning for some reason, reflecting the sparkles that was burning the wood up. 

"She is different. She was different in her human life, and already all these signs of her being different from us as a vampire, already gives us almost a conclusion that she just might be stronger than we think she is. We're underestimating her" Kibum said

"She's new to this life. Not even I who has been alive for a long time know all the secrets of being a vampire" I said

"But even though we all don't know about everything about us vampires, we will teach her everything. Her will is strong. Her humanity is clinging onto her. She's still the same. Most newborns would crave for blood. If she did crave for blood she would have left us a long time ago but look at her, listen to hear. HEAR HER!" Kibum exclaimed

He was right

All of us were silent as we listened to ourselves breathing while wondering where we would take it from her. We would still not let her out of our sight but would she want to stay with us?

"There is one thing that is unfinished" Yunho said, breaking the silence

I was interrupted by Yunho while listening to my doubts, at the same time trying to hear her from upstairs as she was wandering around inside the bedroom, I heard her lift things, run across the room to the bathroom and then her steps quieten. She was lying on the bed

"What is unfinished?" Junsu asked

"The man who killed her. Must have known that she had vampire blood in her system. Don't you think?"

I frowned

"I don't think so" I said

"He was compelled" Yunho stated

I nodded

"But Yuri is dead. If she compelled him then the compulsion should have stopped" Changmin said

I felt the icy coldness wrap itself around my heart and body as I realized what this could mean

"It's not over yet is it?" Junsu asked

I crushed the glass of whiskey in my hands as the anger boiled

"Apparently not" I gritted my teeth

"Can she hear us?" Kibum asked

I shook my head

"Her senses are still trying to cope itself to the body and the system. She can hear somewhat better but.. she is not completely familiar with it" I said

Kibum nodded

"So she can't hear us now?" Kibum asked

"I don't know. Even if she doesn't, I will not hide it from her. I will tell her as soon as possible" I said

Kibum nodded

"I think.. Yuri assured herself that IF she wasn't going to survive this fight, she would have a companion" Kibum said

"But .. that's not possible. I don't have any other enemy than her. Or unfinished business anyway" I said

"Not even one single person you can think of?" Kibum asked

"Not even one single person. Not that I know of at least" I said confused

"But all of those people.. she must have compelled them or offered something in return. SOMETHING to be on her side" Junsu said

"Nothing.. unless she tortured them or something" I said

"Hyung, are you sure? You're sure there's not one single soul out there that is after you? That just might want to finish Yuri's business for her? Maybe a lover?" Yunho asked

"It feels like the story is repeating itself" Changmin said

I swallowed hard

"Then a lover sound the most reasonable thing" I said

"So this lover must be as old as you are. If that is now possible" Kibum said

"But then Yuri cannot have mentioned anything about her soulmate" Yoochun said

"She must have minded the guy and now he is head over heels in love with her, like you were just more.... crazy" Junsu said

"And that also means that he just might be 500 years old" Changmin said

"And he is a guy. Maybe faster, stronger and more dangerous than Yuri was" Yoochun said

I stared at my friends

"An eye for an eye huh?" I mumbled

"So it's not over yet" Junsu said

"No.. it's not" Kibum answered
