Wandering around for hours and exploring the mansion took us exactly 2 hours and 54 minutes. We did it slow, human pace I think but yet, it was a wonderful tour. The castle had a beautiful history but also horrible once. Seems like his ancestors had suffered a lot and there were many secrets behind these walls. Love affairs, betrayal and yet the household still stands here. My favourite room must be the big livingroom. It was as if entering a beautiful castle in a fairytale. Even though from the outside it looked like an old and ancient castle, it was absolutely beautiful on the inside. Entering the beautiful livingroom felt like entering the enormous ballroom. As soon as you step inside the scent of vanilla and lilies hit you. A big open fire place at the left with flowers and light blue couches. Along the walls, window wall like windows had been built in order to make it possible to see the scenery that stretched out into the forest. To the right, beautiful white piano and in the corner, far to the right there was a small fountain, a greek goddess pouring water into the small stream that had been built across the room. Candles were lit everywhere and there was a small bar with the best scotch and wine

"You have made a very deep impression on me I must say"

I turned around to meet JaeJoongs Nan as she gracefully entered and smiled at me as she sat down on the couch before the big open fire place. I could hear it sparkle all the way across the room

"Nan" I stuttered

"Now.. do not be afraid and come closer. I'd like to take a good look at you"

I was nervous and I started to fickle with my eyes as my breathing started to increase

"Now do not be nervous. I am not a bad witch or a vampire that would tear your heart out. If now.. that is what you are afraid of" She said

I slowly walked over and sat down next to her as I tried to use my hearing in order to see where JaeJoong was

"This room has been isolated so not even the vampire ears can hear where the boys are. I had a witch cast a spell on it centuries ago"

I nodded

"Now do not be nervous. I just want to talk to you for a moment"

"Yes Nan" I said and looked at her

I studied her face and registered every detail of her face. She was gentle, around her eyes. It gave off the feeling of safety and love. Motherly love almost. Something told me she was turned around the age of 45 and she seemed like she had been through a lot

"How do you feel?" She asked

"I... don't know. Terrified I think. My feelings are a bit messy now"

"Seems like you were very much surprised at the sight of my appearance" She said, stating it in fact

I nodded

"I thought.. he was alone. And that the boys was the only family he has"

She chuckled lightly

"JaeJae is a very upstraight young man but yet very intelligent. He found me not too long ago and when he found out that I was a vampire as well he was pretty much shocked. In a bad way first but slowly learned how to accept it and as time passed, I believed he tried to learn that I was the only relative alive" She said

"But how.."

"It is possible?" She chuckled "I have to yet try to understand it myself. Truth be told, I was afraid of death and dying. Just the thought of crossing over to the side where the souls of passing people exist made me feel .. terrified" She said

"Terrified?" She nodded

"Yumi, I love this life, I love living it. I didn't want to disappear. You know I am very much in love with London. It has changed rapidly over the years and I must say, I was more than shocked when I found out that I have a grandson alive. Well yes, you do understand what I mean?"

"But how did you find out about it?"

"You see, in order to stay here and live here for so many centuries without making people suspicious, I had to move away and come back when the time was right. So when I was into ... I don't know.. my 500th year as a vampire, I suddenly find my castle being passed down and inherited which was pretty much odd. I thought I had complete the documents but somehow I had missed and when JaeJae started to research about his family I know it was only a matter of time before he would show up and come here to meet me and when time arrived, he did indeed" She smiled

"How was that for you?"

"A shock of course. But my grandson is very handsome. Stubborn, intelligent and very overprotective but yet loving and compassionate. Imagine yourself living for so long and then you find out you have an ancestor alive"

"Yes we did have the conversation earlier about.. him still trying to accept it" I said

"Yes, you see, his parents might be the noble, upper class people but it was a bad childhood. Very angry, overprotective father who put a lot of pressure on me. His mom loved him very much but she never broke the yelling or silence when his father was trying to lecture him which gave him the impact of his mother not loving him" 

"How do you know all this?"

"Well I am a relative and people gossip" She chuckled, embarrassed almost which caused me to laugh

"Anyway, Jae has been through so many things and I must say, I was horrified when I found out that he was a vampire. Not just him but all of them" 

"Why ?"

"My dear, I'm sure he has told you. He doesn't see the vampire life as a life. It's an eternal curse. He wanted so much as a human. Get a job. A house. Find himself a loving wife, have children and grow old"

"And we cannot have any that. I'm a vampire too. Frozen in time" I said and looked into the fire. Nan suddenly grabbed my hand which had me to look at her again

"But he is still able to love. Thank you for that dear" She said. I swallowed hard

"But I might change. I have changed.. but I feel different" I mumbled

"Yes but you cannot lose the humanity you have. You see I was turned with the help of a witch. She put a spell on me because I had begged her for so long. I wanted to live. I wanted an eternal life and I am not an innocent Nan. But I learned and I taught myself how to control and how to keep myself in shack. So will you one day" She encouraged

"But you are 700 years old"

"And I am still fabulous" She smirked which caused me to laugh

"Honey, hope is never gone unless you let it go willingly. I'm sure you will find your place here in the world"

"What did Jae do when he found out he had a relative?"

Nan shook her head and sighed

"Well, that stubborn little man forced me to convince him which I tried for a decade or two. After all the proof I had put out in front of him I realized it was not the proof but that he needed to accept the truth, in his own way on his terms. You see, he is very used to the loneliness, him standing on his own and never had anyone to rely on. But I must say, happiness was allover the place when he called me and told me he was coming here and to say the least, A GIRL!!" She said happily

"He must have been so lonely" I said, feeling a twist in my heart at the thought of JaeJoong being all alone

"I think he hasn't accepted that he is a vampire yet. But maybe he is starting accepting a part of it. With you by his side I'm sure it well turn out good somehow"

"You think so?" I asked

"Darling, I'm a very old lady. I KNOW SO" She blinked which caused me to chuckle

"NAN! HAVE YOU SEEN..." I heard someone screaming in panic 

As we both turned around I saw JaeJoong staring at me as I gave him a smile

"Yumi? Right here darling. I'm trying to question her but she is hard to crack" Nan joked

"Nan.. please.. Do not scare her" JaeJoong said and walked over

"Do you not start with me young man. I am your Nan and I have every right to talk to her"

JaeJoong rolled his eyes

"I hope she didn't bore you with the history of our ancestors and castle" He apologized 

I shook my head and looked at Nan

"JAE COME OUT HERE NOW!!!" Yunho screamed

"I'll be right back" Jae said and ran off

Nan looked after him as he ran and then she turned to me

"Darling, do not give up on him. Or yourself. Loneliness is hard to handle. Especially for JaeJoong, He has last so many people in his life and I am sure .. certain that if you were to disappear from this world.. He would follow" She mumbled
